WrestleMania Build-Up: Key Matches and Rivalries

This will be a wild show; so much happened over the weekend in Toronto. With Jade Cargill’s return, Randy Orton is out to take on Kevin Owens and John Cena’s heel turn. The storylines for Wrestlemania are setting up with a lot to look forward to.

Tonight’s show is in Buffalo.

CM Punk is out having a major fit (which I don’t blame him) called out Seth Rollins, who cost him the chance to go to the main event. Punk charged up the run, throwing punches just as Seth did. Security can’t separate them. This is explosive, to say the least.

Alpha Academy, with Otis heading to the ring to face Gunther. Gunther was out running his mouth just like the bully he is. It’s been good to see that Otis has been given a little bit of time to shine. Gunther can usually be so dominating at times, but seeing that he can be vulnerable is also good. Gunther takes the win, going after Gunther and Takira. Jey Uso is out to help, but here comes A-Town Down Under. Gunther is back in the ring, taking Jey out with a sleeper hold.

Lyra Valkyria is putting the Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line against Ivy Nile of American Made. (If this title changes hands, it will baffle me to no end as to why.) This was a hell of a match. Good quality giving the girls a chance to shine. Ivy tried everything in her playbook, but Lyra found a will and way to win.

Ludwig Kaiser on his way to the ring. Penta is out to cut a promo, but it would be Penta taking out Kaiser from what happened last week. Hoping this becomes a Wrestlemania match.

Adam Pearce just made the match for next week: Seth Rollins facing CM Punk in a Steel Cage.

Creed Brothers are facing The War Raiders for the RAW Tag Team Titles. It’s going to be tough for the Creed Brothers to win (again, I won’t understand a title change). This should be a good match, though. The War Raiders are making the Creed Brothers work for this. It is not the Creed Brothers’ day as the War Raiders get the well deserved win.

Highlights of the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, with Randy Orton’s return.

Oh geesh, Finn Balor says that he is untouchable. Finn is bragging that he will put Braun Brekker down. Judgement Day tried to set up Braun but didn’t work. Finn and Dom forgot about Carlito who just took a major spear from Brekker.

Rhea Ripley is defending the RAW Women’s Title against Iyo Sky. (I have seen rumoured that this will turn into a triple threat match at Wrestlemania between Iyo Sky, Rhea, and Bianca.) Bianca is at ringside watching the match. The Ladies are leaving it all in the ring. Rhea has lost the plot, having a screaming match with Bianca. It gave Iyo too much time to recover. Rhea’s mistake was screaming at Bianca, not taking care of business with Iyo. (Rhea will have a rematch coming for sure.)
