NXT, getting ready for Vengeance Day

Vengeance Day is February 15 taking place in Washington D.C.

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jade) is heading to the ring to face Stephanie Vaquer. Even with interference from Fatal Influence, Stephanie still won. It was a good match. You can see that Jacy was a little rusty, with little singles action of late.

Lexis King is in the ring. cutting a promo with the Heritage Cup. I’m not a big fan of his but he is making a name for himself, differencing himself from his Dad. That I am glad to see, he is standing on his own. OK, Fandango just walked out, (music and all) Heritage Cup match is next week.

Stacks (family at ringside) facing Ridge Holland in singles action. Izzy tried to help, and it almost worked but in the end, it would be Ridge. Since turning heel Ridge has been nasty.

Sol Ruca is on her way to the ring for some tag action with Zaria as her tag partner, facing Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolan with Shotzi in their corner. Gigi just slapped Zaria, but Zaria returned the favour, what a slap. It wasn’t a pretty win but Sol and Zaria got it.

Bayley and Roxanne in the ring, with Roxy going on and on about her performance at Royal Rumble, how good she was and bragging about eliminating Giulia. That she will go on to win at Vengeance Day, keeping the NXT title going on to RAW and Smackdown. Giulia out telling both Roxy and Bayley that she would beat them both but there was another twist to all of this, Charlotte just walked out. Roxy earlier ran her mouth about how maybe Cora Jade could finally win a title. Well, Cora with a Kendo stick, need I say more

Kelani Jordan facing Karmen Petrovic in a single match. This is turning out to be a good-quality match. you can see how much they have both improved. Kelani had the match won but with the post-match attack, the ref reversed the decision giving Karmen the win.

**MAIN EVENT with A-Town Down Under facing Oba Femi/Trick Williams. Going to be interesting to see if Oba/Trick can put differences aside, and work together. Eddy Thorpe screwed Oba and Trick so A-Town Down Under would get the win. Eddy takes out Trick, beating him with a leather strap. Oba walks away.

Fallout from Royal Rumble on RAW

The show has travelled to Cleveland for tonight’s show.

Pat and Michael doing the announcing with Alicia Taylor taking care of in-ring announcing.

Jey Uso has entered the ring, celebrating his victory and engaging with the fans who are enthusiastically cheering him on. It’s incredible to see the entire audience joining in the celebration, from those on the floor to those in the rafters. As Jey collects his thoughts, he notices that the crowd is particularly vocal today. He is trying hard to find the right words to say, and if you look closely, you can see that he is a bit teary-eyed. He acknowledges that Gunther is also in the mix. Jey has a choice to make between himself and Cody, but I have a strong feeling that he will choose Gunther. Gunther says that Jey choosing him at Wrestlemania is adding nothing to his legacy. Gunther told Jey, he would destroy him so he would never make it to Wrestlemania

**Elimination Chamber on March 1 in Toronto. John Cena will be part of that event. (chatter is starting that John will win/take on Cody)

Penta versus Ludwig Kaiser — This match was made from the fallout of the Rumble. Penta had to work for that one. It was an even match but Penta had the edge.

Charlotte is on her way to the ring. Show some respect. Let her share her story. Rhea is on her way to the ring. They have had some great matches in the past, if they meet again, it should be a barnburner.

Here come the heels, The New Day — (for me, this is wrong on so many levels) facing Dragon Lee/Rey Mysterio. Oh geesh, here comes Logan Paul,(who has a match next week against Rey to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Thanks to Logan Paul interfering where he doesn’t belong New Day with the win.

Iyo Sky versus Liv Morgan for a space in the Ladies’ Elimination Chamber. It’s been a pretty even match but with Raquel on the outside, I don’t trust anything. Iyo is hanging in there, whoever wins, will have earned this one. Rhea out to try and help Iyo but Liv gets the win.

Can someone please explain to me what Seth Rollins is wearing? CM Punk is now on his way to the ring. You can see this feud, heading to a possible triple threat at Wrestlemania or the next PLE. CM is facing Sami Zayn for the right to enter the chamber. What a great match but it was CM with the win for the right to enter the chamber. Kevin Owens out of nowhere, hits Sami with a compact pile driver which I have no idea why he has done it. Kevin can barely stand up. I Have no words for what just happened.

A.J. Styles has joined Monday Night RAW. The transfer window has now closed.

**MATCH 2 — 2 out of 3 falls with #DIY facing Motor City Machine Guns. #DIY with the first pin of the day. M.C.M.G getting a fall so it’s tied at 1 a piece. Thanks to help from The Street Profits, #DIY are still Champions. This storyline is growing to include Street Profits in some possible triple threats.

**MATCH 3 — Kevin Owens vs. Cody Rhodes for the Universal Title in a ladder match. Kevin is holding the winged Universal Title, which was brought back for one night. He feels he was unfairly treated and decided to take the title. This match is bound to get ugly; anything can happen in a ladder match. Kevin will do whatever it takes to prevent Cody from climbing the ladder. While Kevin has been more in control of the match, Cody is still holding his own. It’s hard to believe that either of them will be able to walk tomorrow after what they are going through. My body hurts just watching this match, especially after that brutal Alabama slam on the ladder. I noticed Cody said something to Sami during the match.

Final Smackdown before Royal Rumble

Congratulations to Triple H on his induction into the 2025 Class of the Hall of Fame. He looked shocked, similar to Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, who came out to share the news.

Tonight’s show is in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Joe and Wade are at the announcer’s desk tonight with Lillian taking care of the ring-announcing duties.

The Undisputed Belts are hanging over the ring, awaiting the ladder match between Cody Rhodes/Kevin Owens. Well that was short and to the point, Kevin once again complaining that he is not being respected as the true champion, here comes CM Punk, who knows how this one will end. LOL, having a stare-down.

Jimmy Uso faced Carmelo Hayes again after their first match ended in a no-contest. During the match, Carmelo attempted to head-butt Jimmy but quickly learned that you don’t do that against an Uso. Neither Jimmy nor Hayes was able to gain the upper hand throughout the match. While I will acknowledge that Hayes is skilled, he still has room for improvement. Additionally, Carmelo has a tendency to celebrate too soon. In the end, Jimmy emerged victorious in a messy finish. Hayes tried to use the ropes to his advantage, but Jimmy’s strategic handful of tights made the difference in securing the win.

Chelsea Green in a title defence against Michin (B-Fab is with Michin). (I still can’t believe they put a belt on Chelsea) B-Fab with Michin in part, with the Street Profits off due to the injury storyline. Chelsea with the Kendo stick, giving Michin the win but Green keeps the belt.

Damien Priest is on his way to the ring, cutting a promo. Oh geesh, Jacob Fatu with Tama on his way to the ring. This usually won’t end pretty. According to Jacob, he and Tama run Smackdown, (really) Numbers game is on but here comes L.A. Knight to lend a hand. We got ourselves a tag match challenge Tama/Jacob against Damien/L.A.

Pretty Deadly joining DIY# in a tag match against Motor City Machine Guns/Los Garza. Well, Los Garza has walked out on M.C.M.G. HOly Cow, M.C.M.G some how got the win, it went from an 8-man tag to a regular tag match.

Liv Morgan is in singles action against Naomi. The distraction from Raquel backfired, and Naomi got the win, but Raquel and Liv had the final say post-match. Making things known they are coming for the Women’s Tag Titles.

The Miz taking on Andrade. Once again, Miz running his mouth got himself in trouble. Andrade has made sure that the Miz could not get on top of things. That was a hell of a Spanish Fly off the top rope. A Discus back elbow took Miz out giving Andrade the win.

Cole and Pat are in the ring waiting for Tiffany Stratton to arrive for an interview. Candice LaRae heading to the ring, Nia, just took out Candice. Sitting here listening to the chorus of boos aimed at Nia.

*MAIN EVENT — L.A. Knight and Damien Priest participated in tag team action against Toma Tonda and Jacob Fatu. I’m not sure how this match will turn out. Jacob is surprisingly agile for someone of his size; he defies expectations. Growing up in a wrestling family, he has the knowledge and has worked hard to earn his spot in the ring. This match was absolutely insane! Lillian barely managed to get out of the way as L.A. Knight and Jacob flew over the barricade. Wow, I really have no idea what I just witnessed. In the end, Damien and L.A. Knight secured the victory.*

It’s time for NXT

Update on JD McDonagh after RAW this week, he has two broken ribs and a punctured lung and will be out until further notice. If you watch the tag match with Dom, that hit on the announcer’s table was nasty, I am surprised that he was able to finish the match.

Tonight the show is in Atlanta, Georgia

Vic, Corey Graves and Booker T. are at the announcer’s desk tonight, with Mike Rome taking care of Ring announcer duties.

Giulia is on her way to the ring, and Bayley is joining her for a Tag match against Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. This could be an interesting match; I hope they let the ladies tell the story. Just went Roxy/Jade think they have it won; Bayley keeps the match going. Just when you think Roxy. Jade had it won, and Bayley and Guilia pulled out some magic to keep the match going. In the end, it was Bayley/Guilia with the win.

The Greyson Waller Effect on NXT, the boys have been transferred to RAW, but tonight is a special appearance. Oba Femi is their guest. This should be interesting. Greyson Waller wants a match with Oba, we know how that will end. Trick came out trying to go after Oba but it would be Obi who takes trick out with a massive power bomb.

Wes Lee facing Trick Williams, who is trying to compete after that massive slam by Oba a few minutes before. If Trick can win this I will be surprised. It’s all Wes Lee at this point, he knows that Trick is injured, doing anything he can. You can see that Wes is getting a little full of himself, his frustration is starting to show. It was Trick who let his emotions get the better of him giving Wes the win by DQ.

Triple threat match with A-Town Down Under facing Oba Femi.

OK, this is interesting, Ava just made the match for next week, A-Twon Down under facing Trick William/Oba Femi. Will be interesting to see if Trick and Oba can put differences aside long enough for the match. This tag match is official

Vengenance Day is on February 15

Fallon Henry facing Shotzi for the North American Women’s Title. Fallopn the heel, holding the title has gone to her head, win at all cost. Those who came to the ring have all left, so its finally an even match. It was a hell of a match but it was also good to see Fallon win it on her own. Shotzi brought it giving Fallon all she could handle.

At Vengenance Day Faqllon will defend the Women’s North American title against Stephanie Vaquer.

Ethan Page is on his way to the ring, facing Cedric Alexander in singles action. Ethan is doing everything possible to rebreak Cedric’s hand or injure him further. Ethan with the win but he wont stop until he injures Cedric even further. Ja’von Evans out to help Cedric, even though he is not cleared medically.

Another match just added to Vengenance Day is Roxanne vs Bayley vs Giulia.

Another match for next week wil be Karmen Petrovic facing Kelani Jordan. Also next week in Men’s singles action will be Ridge Holland facing Stacks

**MAIN EVENT — Bianca Belair/Naomi defending the Women’s Tag Team titles against Lash Legend/Jakara Jackson. It’s not going to be long before Lash/Jakara are holding Tag Titles. Each team is getting there moments to shine in this match. NO one has really made that one mistake for the other team to take advantage of things. Lash got taken out by a collision with the medal steps. Bianca/Naomi have successfully defended the titles.

RAW before Royal Rumble

This is the going home show before Royal Rumble on February 1.

**Saturday Night’s Main Event — IMO — I have no clue why these shows keep going, nothing really earth-shattering happens. No title changes or anything. The highlight for me was the sweet chin music Shaun Michaels hit Kevin Owens with. (Creative needs to have a better look at the event.)

Tonight’s show is in Atlanta, Georgia

Don’t get me started on the return of Logan Paul. For me, he has no credibility. He has not done the hard yards, the years or the struggle.

Pat and Cole are back at the announcer’s desk with Alicia handling the ring announcing duties.

Seth Rollins is on his way to the ring to open the show. Seth’s first Royal Rumble, which lasted 43 minutes, was in 2019. Gunther has decided to make an appearance in the ring with Seth. Of course, Logan Paul has to get in the mix. I hope Gunter or Seth or both of them knock his lights out. The Universe is giving Paul heaps. It’s hard to hear him.

The Raw Men’s Tag titles are on the line as War Raiders defend them against Judgement Day (J.D and Dominick) How is J.D. still walking after that head knock. Carlito showed up trying to help but it backfired. Even with all that mess, Eric and Ivar hang on to the titles. (Cole made a good point, no sign of Finn since he lost to Damien)

Zelina Vega is moving to Smackdown as part of the transfer window. The transfer window closes on Royal Rumble weekend.

Rey Mysterio facing Xavier Woods in a singles match. The Universe is still giving New Day grief after everything they have done. Thanks to a distraction coming from Xavier’s family, Rey gets the win.

Jey Uso is in the ring.

Bianca Belair and Naomi on the way to the ring for a Women’s Tag match against Liv Morgan and Raquel. Thanks to some help from Dirty Dom, Liv and Raquel get the win.

Paul Heyman is in the ring cutting a promo for 2K25 with Roman on the cover. Paul tells the Universe that Roman will win the Royal Rumble and will take back his title from Cody. Just as Paul is about to exit the ring Drew McIntyre comes out. Not sure about all of this.

Sami Zayn is facing Drew McIntyre who he has never beaten. This match had been all Drew but Sami somehow managed to turn the tables and is holding his own. Sami keeps finding a way to keep surviving but I don’t know for how long. Drew stole the win by using the ropes to help him. Drew was taking out Sami for sure but Cody came out to help, here comes Kevin to work on Cody. Drew was working on Cody but another Hulima kick from Sami just as Drew gets out of the way. I am not sure what to think of any of this storyline. Is this setting up a storyline for Rumble or what? Sami has lost the plot to a point, and Drew takes him out because he helped Roman.

Cody is still in the ring with CM Punk cutting a promo for the Rumble and heading to Wrestlemania. (Cody has a nice shiner thanks to Sami)

See you for NXT and Smackdown

Match Recaps: Kevin Owens vs. Jimmy Uso and More

It should be another interesting week with Royal Rumble just 1 week away.

Tonight’s show is in Austin, Texas.

Saturday Night’s Main event is just hours away.

Joe and Wade are at the announcer’s desk tonight with Lillian on Ring announcing duties as always.

Cody is on his way to the ring for a chat with Joe.

DIY in a chat with Pretty Deadly.

Motor City Machine Guns on the way to the ring-facing Pretty Deadly. When you think Pretty Deadly was on the way to the win, Motor City turns the tables and pulls out the win.

The Miz has been moved to Smackdown.

Kevin Owens is sitting at the announcer’s desk, frustrated and asking about his interview while trash-talking Matthew McConaughey. Jimmy Uso steps in to confront Kevin, challenging him to a match tonight. This match is now the main event. As Jimmy makes his way to the ring, Carmelo Hayes unexpectedly attacks him. Throughout the match, it has been all Kevin Owens, who is convinced he is the true Universal Champion and proudly holds the winged Champion belt that Triple H brought out for one night. Despite Jimmy’s efforts to get back in the game, Kevin seems to be one step ahead. Ultimately, Kevin Owens secures the victory.

Chelsea Green/Piper Niven are on the way to the ring to face Michin/B Fab in Ladies’ tag action.

Once again Carmello Hayes has not learned to shut up. Hayes will meet Damien Priest who has transferred to Smackdown.

Charlotte Flair makes her long-awaited return at the Royal Rumble.

Tiffany Stratton is making her way to the ring when Rhea Ripley enters next. Just as things get interesting, Nia Jax comes out to spoil the moment. Nia is bragging about how she plans to take Rhea’s title at Saturday Night Main Event, and then enter the Royal Rumble to challenge Tiffany for her title as well. Adding to the chaos, Naomi and Bianca also make their entrances. Suddenly, Liv Morgan and Raquel show up, and all hell breaks loose in the ring. Before the break, Nick Aldis is seen heading to the ring, and he decides to turn the situation into a six-women’s tag match. Rhea, Bianca, and Naomi team up to face Liv, Nia, and Candace. The match is intense, but ultimately, Liv, Nia, and Candace manage to steal the win.

Johnny Gargano (Tomasso Champa ringside) facing Apollo Crews, Cheap shot by Tomasso, Here comes Motor City,(all they did was walk out) Apollo steals the win.

Tama Tonga is on the way to the ring, with Jacob Fatu as support. L. A. Knight is going to have his hands full. Knight held his own taking out Jacob long enough for Knight to pin Tama for the win. Tama tried to stop FAtu from getting in the ring with Braun, but Jacob threw him off and got in the ring to face off against Braun after all.

A-Town Down was just told by Nick to pack because they are going to RAW.

Damien Preist is now on Smackdown (finally done with Finn Balor and Judgement Day) on his way to the ring to face Carmello Hayes for the first time. Needless to say, Damien shut up Carmello getting his debut win.

*At the Royal Rumble it is a 2 out of 3 falls match with Motor City Machine Guns facing #DIY for the tag titles.

Let’s Check Out NXT

Vic, Booker T and Corey are at the announcer’s desk tonight. Mike Rome with the ring announcing duties tonight

The opening match tonight is Tony De’Angelo (the family in his corner) defending the North American Title against Ridge Holland. NO clue what Shaun Spears is doing at Ringside. Shaun started to cause issues, but the family boys took care of him. Izzy Dane with a thunder kick to Ridge, which helped Tony take out Ridge Holland for the win.

Bayley is on her way to the ring. If you missed last week, Roxanne Perez ended the show with quite the slap to Bayley. What has brought Bayley back this week? Bayley is out really giving it to Roxanne. Giulia out to chat with Bayley. Cora Jade and Roxanne are out with some great trash-talking. It’s hard to hear with the NXT Universe making it difficult to hear. (I see a women’s tag team match between the 4) Ava along with security can’t separate them.

Dion Lennox is in the ring waiting to face off against Wes Lee.(Wes is on the heel list, not impressed with him but he is doing OK). Dion gave it a good go but Wes had the better of him tonight.

Vengeance Day is February 15 in Washington D.C.

Lexis King( from Cincinnati, Ohio) is defending the Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey (William Regal is Charlie’s Dad). Heritage Cup Rules apply. (brass knuckles in Lexis bucket in his corner?) Lexis got the pin for round 2, leading 1 fall to 0. Charlie ties it up at 1 fall each at the end of round 3.

Karmen Petrovic in singles action against Jada Parker. With a little help from Kelani Jordan, Karmen with the win.

Brooks Jensen/Niko on the way to the ring with Shaun Spears, facing Stacks/Luca Crusifino in tag team action. That was vicious, Stacks and Luca held their own but Jensen/Niko can be very dangerious.

Oba Femi in his first Title Defense against Eddy Thorpe. This should be interesting. Oba outweights Eddy by 87 pounds. Eddy had a couiple of moments to shine but in the end the strength of Oba would take over for the win.

Checking out RAW on Netflix

Tonight’s show is from Dallas

J.B.L. has joined Wade and Michael Cole at the announcer’s desk tonight. Pat McAfee is calling the College Football Title match.

Sami Zayn is in the ring cutting a good promo. Kevin Owens has shown up, not sure why Kevin is out. Telling Sami that Kevin has his back. They have been mates for many years.

Bayley is now on RAW, her first opponent will be Nia Jax. They have had some good battles in the past and hoping this one is just as good. Bayley doesn’t let Nia’s strength discourage her. Needless to say, Nia got the win but Rhea is out for some payback. Rhea just grabbed a mic, match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Adan Pearce needs to make it official. Adam Pearce has made the Rhea/Nia match at Main Event official.

Penta faces off against Pete Dunn. It should be another good match. Penta has a great sense of timing. That was a super match, Penta took a beating from Pete but found his way back in the end to get the win.

OH NO — Logan Paul has become a member of the RAW Rooster.

Cody and Kevin sign the contract for their match at the Royal Rumble.

Pure Fusion Collective is taking on Dakota Kai/Iyo Sky in Women’s Tag action. If you blink you miss the action, especially with Iyo in the ring.

Main Event time with Seth Rollins taking on Drew McIntyre. Rematch from last year. Drew and Seth have both had moments to shine but have also slammed the door on the other quickly. I have no clue, Seth got the win. Drew is livid. You can’t give Seth an opening, because he will take it. Sami just took out Seth thanks to Drew. Of, course Drew is loving every minute of this.

Smackdown on NetFlix

Tonight’s show is from San Diego California.

Wade and Joe are again at the announcer’s desk, Lillian with ring announcing duties.

Tiffany Straton will defend her title tonight against Bayley. I can’t see Bayley winning tonight but it should be a good match. To this point, it’s been a good solid match, both ladies have their own moments of shine but it’s been very even. That was a hell of a match. Bayley made Tiff earn that win tonight.

Jimmy Uso takes on Carmelo Hayes. Carmelo really needs to learn to shut up at times. (He plays the character well when you love to hate them) . The Universe is good at letting wrestlers know when they are not liked. Carmelo lets his frustration get the better of him, and then the mistakes come. Fatu/Tama take out Jimmy when they had no business being out there. Solo has gone AWOL. Mello ran his mouth, and Tonga took him out. Well, Solo just showed up. The Universe would not allow him to speak, he had walked away. Tama/Jacob just looking at each other. L.A. Knight/Braun Strowman in the ring but Tama/Jacob walked away. I can see this becoming a feud.

Rey Mysterio (from Dan Diego) is in the ring cutting a promo. Rey will enter the Royal Rumble. Once again, Kevin Owens is out to distribute things. Kevin still has ownership of the winged Universal belt. Kevin will defend that and Cody’s belt in a ladder match at the Royal Rumble. Kevin still saying that he is the rightful Universal Champion. Kevin is at his best when he plays a heel. You have no clue how devious he will be. Even in Rey’s hometown, they gave Kevin the win.

Nia Jax/Candance LaRue facing Bianca Belair/Naomi in a tag match. It’s been a good match but when Candace/Nia can use Bianca’s braid they do. They have been keeping Naomi out of this match for the most part. It was not pretty by any means. Bianca/Naomi is heading to Atlanta for a title defence against Lash LaRue/Jakara Jackson.

March 1 is Elimination Chamber from Toronto, John Cena’s final appearance.

Motor City Machine Guns facing Los Garza in tag action. Pay attention to this match, things happen fast. Thanks to mistakes from Pretty Deadly, Motor City can get the win. This match was all over, with each team trying anything and everything to get the win.

This one could get interesting. Piper Niven in singles action against B-Fab. Piper was too strong for B-Fab. Michin came out to help B after Piper and Chelsea started a post-match beatdown.
