NXT on NetFlix

The trade window is open. I expect Roxanne and Trick to move up to RAW/Smackdown. I’m not sure who else will go.

Vic and Booker T at the announcer’s Desk with Mike Rome on Ring Announcer Duties.

Recap of New Year’s Evil

Oba Femi is on his way to the ring to open the show. Tony DeAngelo on the way to the ring for a chat with Oba. Tony holds the North American Champion title. Ridge Holland is sticking his nose in where it doesn’t belong. While Ridge and Tony are going at it, Eddy Thorpe takes out Oba.

Stephanie Vaquer is on her way to the ring to face Shotzi in a singles match. Finally got the ring announcers back. Stephanie and Shotzi with a fistbump of respect. Thanks to Fallon Henley, Shotzi will face Fallon in two weeks.

Cora Jade has no clue when to shut up. A nice slap from Kelani.

Ethan Page is in the ring, waiting for Dante Chin to arrive. It’s expected to be a brutal matchup. Unfortunately, the situation turned grim for Dante, as he suffered an injury and will be sidelined for a while. Ja’von Evans came out to confront Ethan Page, but Ethan managed to take him down once again, even with his jaw wired shut.

Unholy Union facing off against Lash LaRue and Jackara Jackson for the right to a title match against Bianca Belair/Naomi.

Kelani faces off against Cora Jade following their confrontation in the locker room. Cora steals the win by raking Kelani’s eyes. Kelani was fierce in that match, showcasing her fiery side.

NXT’s next PLE is February 15th at Vengeance Day in Washington D.C.

The Tag Team titles were on the line as OTM faced off against Nathan Frazier and Axiom, with Nathan wearing a face mask to protect his broken nose. I’m not sure how they managed to survive the match. OTM had the advantage in size and strength, while Nathan and Axiom relied on their speed. At times, the match seemed to fall apart, but in the end, it was Axiom and Nathan Frazier who held on to secure the victory.

Roxanne Perez is in the ring, not so cocky now without the title. Roxy is making good points, I have to give her that. Here she goes, NXT is so much better with Roxy at the helm. Roxy started to trash-talk the 4 horsewomen, and Bayley walked out. The show went off the air with Bayley and Roxy beating the snot out of each other.

My Notes from RAW on NetFlix

January 13/14th

I just wanted to apologise for the late notes on RAW. My hubby recently passed away, he was laid to rest on the 14th here in South Australia. I am slowly getting a new routine going, please bear with me as I work through my new life.

Royal Rumble is on February 1

Tonight’s show opened up with a review of last week.

Cole and Pat are on the announcer’s desk once again this week joined by Alicia on ring announce duties.

I love the camera shot following the wrestler to the ring. Tonight’s show featured CM Punk as he got out of his truck. He walked through Gorilla and headed out to visit with the WWE Universe. CM gave a shout-out to all the first responders working on the fires in California. Seth Rollins has joined CM in the ring. Seth along with CM have both declared for the Royal Rumble. Well, let’s add Drew McIntyre into this mix. Add Drew to the list for the Royal Rumble.

Chad Gable is on his way to the ring, he has no clue who he will be facing. Not a huge fan of Chad as a heel. Chad’s opponent is Penta (worse kept secret in the WWE) Penta is amazing, he is coming from AEW. You need to watch this match, don’t blink or you will miss something. It was a dog fight to the end, Penta with the win. Jackie Redmond is in the ring for a post-match with Penta.

Fight Night as Sheamus on the way to the ring, facing off against Ludwig Kaiser.

Seth Rollins will meet Drew McIntyre next week in a match.

Gunther making his first appearance since moving to Netflix. Jey Uso, out to the ring to chat with Gunther. Jey has laid down a challenge to Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Texas.

Dakota Kai versus Lyria Valkyria in the finals of the Women’s Intercontentional Title match. Hoping that creativity allows them to create an amazing match. Dakota and Lyra are evenly matched. It’s been an even match, each having their time to shine during the match. With her finish move of the Night Wing, Lyra is your first Intercontentional Women’s title holder. Dakota with a great amount of respect came into the ring to congratulate Lyria.

Kofi and Xavier are having a whine because of how they are being treated. They are blaming Rey Mysterio because they can’t get into the locker room.

The Miz facing Sami Zayn, not sure what this is all about. Nothing too exciting with Sami taking the win.

Rhea Ripley is on her way to the ring. OK, Nia Jax just showed up and I am not sure what this is all about. Nia says she will be winning the Royal Rumble, taking whatever title she wants. Nia says that she is at the top of the Women’s division. Between Rhea and Bayley they took Nia out.

Damien Priest is facing off against Finn Balor in a street fight that has been ongoing since Summer Slam. There are murmurs among fans that they are getting tired of Judgment Day and feel that something needs to change, as it is becoming old and stale. The match is intense and takes place all over the arena. Currently, the score is tied at three wins each for Damien and Finn. However, JD and Carlito have teamed up to target Damien, turning the match into a 3-on-1 street fight. Fortunately, the War Raiders have arrived to even the odds. They have successfully taken care of JD and Carlito, allowing for a fair fight again. In a dramatic moment, Damien just slammed Finn through the timekeeper’s barricade. With that, Priest secures the win.

Smackdown on NetFlix

The show is in Portland, Oregon

Joe and Wade are now at the announcer’s desk. Michael Cole has moved to RAW with Pat McAfee, and Corey has moved to NXT.

John Cena is heading to the Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. If they give John the win, he can become the World Champion for the 17th time before he retires.

Paul Heyman is in the ring. Talking about Roman, he has asked for Cody to come to the ring. Roman will enter the Royal Rumble, win it and challenge Cody for the title Cody now holds. (WWE Universal Champion) Kevin Owens has shown up. Cody has had enough and gone after Kevin but there is more in the ring. Jacob/Tama is in the ring going after Paul. Jimmy Uso is in the ring taking care of Jacob/Tama allowing Paul to get out of the ring. Cody is back to help Jimmy.

Michin is in a rematch for the Women’s United States Championship against Chelsea Green. You know that Piper Niven will be in tow. Chelsea steals the win thanks to a hold on Michin’s tights.

Los Garza from Legado Del Fantasma facing off against Pretty Deadly.

L.A. Knight in a title challenge from Shinsuke Nakamura. This is a rematch. Not liking the repackage of Shinsuke but it is working. Tama/Jacob has spoiled another match once again.

Motor City Machine Guns out to the ring to take on tag action A-town Down Under.

It’s Tiffy Time, as Tiffany Straton is out to celebrate cashing in her Money in the Bank Case. It will be interesting to see what happens. (Tiffany cashing in has been in the chatter line, didn’t think it would play to the way it did. Here comes Bayley out to make things interesting. Added to the mix are Naomi and Bianca with Tiffy taking out the lot of them. Bayley, Nia, Bianca, and Naomi are going to compete in a fatal 4-way match. The winner will earn the right to face Tiffany Straton for the Smackdown Women’s Title. It was Bayley who somehow managed to get the win. She will face Tiffy for the title. Byron just told Bayley that she will face Tiffy for the title next week.

Cody and Jimmy will join forces to take on Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga in the Main Event. I look for Kevin Owens to stick his nose in this. Kevin Owens showed up, taking Cody out of the match with Jimmy. Jacob/Tama with the win. Cody just put Kevin through 2 tables.

NXT Debute on NetFlix

The Rock has arrived at NXT.

Corey Graves has returned to the announcer’s desk along with Booker and Vic

The opening match tonight is Giulia facing the current title holder Roxanne Perez. I look for a title change tonight, with the trade window open the chatter is that Roxanne will be called up. This is a quite physical match, Roxanne will stop at nothing to defend the title. Giulia with a hard-fought win, looks for Roxanne to be called up to the big dance.

Fatal 4-way for the Women’s North American Title # 1 contender with Lola Vice, Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer Kelani James for the right to face Fallon Henley. It is so hard to call a match like this, so much going on. If you blink you miss things. Stephanie with the win.

Fatal Influence Taking on Shotzi, Gigi and Tatun Paxley. It was crazy as they usually are. Of course, it fell apart in places but in the end, it was Shotzi pinning Fallon Henly for the win.

Heritage Cup is on the line as Lexis King faces Charley Dimpsey from the Quarter Catch Crew. Defended under sudden death rules, one match and 1 fall gets the win. That was an ugly match but in the end, Lexis King with a real win this time.

Main Event time with Trick Williams facing Oba Femi for the NXT Men’s Single title. (title change I can see Trick Williams getting called up) Edde Thorpe appeared out of nowhere. Another title change with Oba Femi pinning Trick Williams for the win. I look for Trick to get called up to the Big Dance.

The Rock, making his first appearance on NXT is heading to the ring.

RAW on NetFlix

Tonight is the new era with WWE, RAW starting on NetFlix. It will be interesting to see how things play out.

Triple H opened the show with an amazing video

In the dead silence of the area, Rock’s music breaks

A tribal warfare match between Roman and Solo opens the show. This is hard to watch at times. I knew it would be. Needless to say, Tama and Jacob came to help Solo but so did Sami and Jey to help Roman. New Ref to another rescue with Chad getting taken out. Even Kevin Owens tried taking Roman out. Finally, Roman wins the Tribal Combat match. Paul was in the ring, holding the Ula Fala during the match. Here comes the Rock, not sure why as of yet. Rock as Paul for the Ula Fala, giving it to Roman as the Official Tribal Chef. This storyline had to end this way. Will be interesting to see what happens on the way to Wrestlemania.

The Ref’s have new shirts.

The New Day has asked Jackie for some time to speak but the universe is not having it.

John Cena has arrived to start his final year in the WWE. John is giving a great promo. They are not rushing him. The Crowd is allowed to show their love and appreciation. John had entered the Royal Rumble.

Really, Logan Paul is still around. I was so hoping that he would leave. I can’t stand anything about the man.

Title time with Liv Morgan facing Rhea Ripley for the RAW women’s title. It was listed at one time for a Last Women standing match. Of course, Dom tried to interfere but that didn’t work. Liv will make a mistake at some point, which she did, after 2 riptides, Rhea finally has back what she never lost. (Woman’s World Champion) The RAW Women’s Title. LOL, Dom tried to sucker Rhea back but she did not believe him, after a low blow and a rip tide. Dom will walk gingerly back to the locker room. If you watch Rhea as Daphanie hands her the belt, Rhea says “I have missed you so much”

OMG Rhea was celebrating when the gong of Undertaker sounded. Arriving at the ring on a Hog.

Jey Uso facing Drew McIntyre in singles action. Drew will stop at nothing til he can destroy Jey. With a surprise, Jey steals a much-needed win. Drew was dominant for most of the match, but in the end, Jey somehow got the win. In my book, it was time that someone got a win over Drew.

Holy Cow, Jimmy Hart along with Hulk Hogan on the walkway to the ring. The Universe is not showing Hulk a lot of love.

This is the Main Event match as Seth is on his way to the ring to face CM Punk. Seth is not paying the attention he should. He has a bad habit of letting his emotions get the better of him at times. It’s an even match to this point. Seth is getting nasty and will do anything to destroy Punk. This was an all-out war, somehow Punk pulled out the win tonight but I have a feeling this war is just beginning.

Overall it was a good show

Smackdown Notes for 2025

From what clips I have seen, it was an interesting show, to say the least. Smackdown is now 3 hours.

Here in Australia, WWE Network has closed with shows moving to NetFlix.

The trade windows are now open. The latest news is that Lillian Garcia is announcing Smackdown with Alicia Taylor on RAW.

Cody will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship in a Ladder Match against Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Really, is Drew McIntyre coming out? Cody is not medically cleared. Drew is out to destroy anyone who helped Roman. (Drew just hugged Cody, yes I am scratching my head on this one)

Andrade is on his way to the ring to face Shinsuke Nakamura. With the repackage of Shinsuke to a heel, this makes him even more dangerous. Shinsuke with the win but he was not counting on an attack by L.A. Knight.

Michin is in a match against Piper Niven, with Chelsea Green at the ringside. Michin with a surprise win over Piper.

Paul Heyman in the ring, he can be a little shit but I do have respect for him. On RAW is the tribal combat match( no rules) for the Ula Fala, along with the right to be called the REAL Tribal chief.

DIY defending the Smackdown Tag Titles against Motor City Machine Guns. With interference, DIY are still the tag champions.

Nia Jax defending the WWE Women’s title match against Naomi. This has been a great match but here comes Tiffany Stratton interfering to help Nia keep the belt. After getting rid of Candace and Bianca Tiffany chases in her briefcase to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion.

**MAIN EVENT — Sami Zayn, Jey and Jimmy Uso in a 6-man tag team against Bloodline. Each team has had their time to lead the match but it’s hard to call how this might end up. I want Sami and the Usos, to win this but anything is possible. A guy as big as Jacob Fatu should not be able to do half of what he does in the ring. Solo with that dang spike takes the win for Bloodline. I wish someone would break that thumb.

Final RAW Notes for 2024

Hard to believe this year is coming to a close.

What started as a celebration just died as the New Day walked out. Boy is the Universe giving them grief. The Universe refuses to allow Kofi and Xavier to get a word in. Jey Uso on the way to the ring which the crowd is loving. Jey gets taken out by Drew McIntyre. (How is this storyline going to go on? Someone needs to take Drew down a few pegs)

Otis versus Chad Gable. I really want Otis to win this, Chad as a bully just doesn’t work for me. Chad feels like he is so needed. With help, Otis had no choice but to tap out after the damage he caused.

Time for a semi-final match in the Intercontentional Women’s Title match with Zoey Stark facing Dakota Kai. Dakota held her nerve getting the win over Zoey (which I am glad for)

The War Raiders are on the way to the ring facing Judgment Day, which should be interesting. Finn still throws temper tantrums about losing the tag titles. He blames Damien for always losing. Yet, when Damien does the same thing, it’s not acceptable. Once again, it would be Damien and the War Raiders who would take the win. Finn screaming its not over until I say it’s over.

Ludwig Kaiser is in the ring running his mouth. He is good at doing this. Then, Sheamus decides to show up.

Iyo Sky is heading to the ring to face Lyria Valkyria in the second Women’s Intercontentional Title semi-final. It’s been a good even match. The winner of this match faces Dakota Kai for the right to be the 1st Women’s Intercontentional Champion. Holy cow what a pin to steal the win from Iyo.

Seth Rollins and CMPunk deliver a hell of a promo for their match on the 6th when RAW starts on Netflix.

**It wasn’t an overpacked show but just busy enough to keep your interest. Waiting for the show next week on NetFlix. Which they have stacked.

RAW and Smackdown Notes

Thanks for being patient with my absence. My Hubby Phil, my life partner passed away recently. I am trying to get back to work as I feel.

**RAW

Drew McIntyre opening the show. Drew is still going after those who helped Roman and the Bloodline. Sami Zayn is out to chat with Drew but with the help of Jey Uso, he and Sami take Drew out.

Iyo Skye taking Kari Sane’s place in the Intercontentional Title Tournament. Alba Fire is also facing Iyo and Natalya. It’s Iyo Sky with the win.

A singles match featuring Chad Gable from American Made facing Akira Tozawa. This could get ugly. Chad is out for blood, and will not stop until Chad gets it. Needless to say, Chad with an ankle lock to get the win, which he refused to let go of when Akira, tapped out.

Dirty Dom, who thinks he has a plan, goes to Adam Pearce to get a match with Damien Priest. Just blow up Judgement Day already. The rest of Judgement Day showed up to try and take out Damien. War Raiders to Damien’s defence.

Main Event time with Drew hoping to take out Sami Zayn again. No matter what Sami tried, Drew was stronger and ensured he wouldn’t win again. You run out of steam when you get dropped on your back on the apron. Here comes Jey Uso, to take out Drew. Of course, Bloodline showed up.

Roman facing Solo at the Netflix debut I hope will turn this storyline. It’s getting old in my book.

**SMACKDOWN

6 Women Tag Team with Bianca, Naomi and Bayley facing Nia, Tiffy and Candance. Nia accuses Bianca that she was the one who attacked Jade Cargill. Thanks to miscommunication between Tiffy, Candance and Nia it cost them the match. Tiffy tried to cash in but Candance stopped her.

Braun Strowman is now on Smackdown in a match against Austin Theory with Greyson Waller at ringside. No matter what Waller and Theory tried it was not their day.

Smackdown starts 3 hours next week.

Nick Aldis has told Kevin Owens he has till the end of the show to return the belt. Kevin says that he is the true champion and deserves the belt.

Chelsea Green trying to celebrate her United States Title but Michin has other ideas. If it wasn’t for Piper Niven, Michin would be the first United States title holder.

The Street Profits who were taken out by Los Garza, costing the Street Profits the Tag Titles are in a tag match to try and settle differences. B-FAb took out Electrica Lopez who interfered giving the Street Profits the win.

Andrade to meet Shinsuke Nakamura next week. Naomi with a title shot against Nia Jax.

Sami Zayn is set to face Carmelo Hayes, who claims that SmackDown is his show. Sami aims to prove him wrong. At one point in the match, Sami appeared to be on track for victory, but Carmelo decided he had had enough. Then, things took a turn with the Bloodline and Braun Strowman showing up—Braun is now on SmackDown. Despite the chaos, the Bloodline still managed to maintain control over the situation.

Kevin Owens is in the ring with Nick Aldis, demanding a rematch against Cody Rhodes for the championship title. Nick responds by telling Kevin to hand over the belt or he will never work in the WWE again. At the Royal Rumble, there will be a ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Championship, featuring Kevin Owens facing Cody Rhodes.

RAW and Smackdown News

Gunther is on his way to the ring. The title match between Gunther and Finn Balor will be a triple threat as Damien Priest was added. All Gunther will need to do is stand back and let Finn/Damien fight for a bit, pick his moment and pin whoever he chooses. Finn and JD will put the RAW Tag Men’s title on the line against the War Raiders next week with Judgement Day being banned from Ringside.

Final Testament with The Miz versus The Wyatt Sick. Still honouring Bray with the rocking chair along with the lantern. No clue how but Final Testament handed the Wyatt Sick their first loss.

Jackie Redmond in a sitdown with CM Punk.

Dakota Kai facing Liv Morgan in a singles competition. Liv defends her RAW Women’s Title on December 14th at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Pure Collective Fusion has come out to ringside, it was Dakota who beat Shayna last week. Pure Fusion is in the ring with a beatdown of Dakota. Kair Sayne/Iyo Skye showed up to help Dakota. Liv had the last laugh with a hit on Iyo.

Seth Rollins is in the ring cutting a promo. Sami Zayn is out chatting with Seth and giving him an apology for accusing him of attacking Jey. It was actually Drew McIntyre who took Jey out. (Seth is wearing something that belongs to Sully from Monsters Inc.) Drew just took out Sami. (Guess you can call Drew a full-on Heel)

Lyra Valkyria in a match with Ivy Nile and Zelina Vega for the Intercontentional Women’s Title. Lyra with the win. Lyra moves on to the semi-finals.

New Day (Xavier and Kofi) is in the ring but the Universe is not letting them say anything at all. They arrived at ringside to chants of “New Day Sucks” There are chants for “We want Big E and more New Day Sucks. (New Day is listed as Heels on the RAW Roster)

**MAIN EVENT — An anything-goes match between Rhea Ripley facing Raquel Rodriguez. You know that Liv will get involved at some point. (Damien and Rhea wearing Terror Twins T-Shirts) Iyo Sky has also shown up taking out Liv. A riptide thought a table will take care of anyone.

The show goes off the air with Iyo and Rhea each having a hand on the RAW Women’s Title.

**SMACKDOWN

**Bronson Reed had his ankle surgery this past week, they discovered the break was worse than they first thought.

Jimmy Uso is in the ring, on a crutch thanks to his broken toe. Cutting a great promo, Drew McIntyre took Jimmy out as Jimmy went to leave.

Women’s Semi-Final for the United States Champion with Tiffany Stratton facing Michin. I have no clue how, but Michin pulled out the win. She will face the winner of the match between Chelsea/Bayley.

The new Men’s Smackdown Tag Champions #DIY cutting a promo, post title win.

Nick Aldas has told Bianca that she will need to surrender the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Bianca and Naomi have lobbed Nick to reconsider taking the titles allowing Naomi to take Jade’s place. Waiting for an answer back.

Carmello Hayes had his match against the unknown wrestler, who turned out to be Braun Strowmen. Needless to say it was Braun coming away wqith the win. Hayes had no answers.

Roman has challenged Solo to tribal combat at the Netflix premere on January 6 the winner gets the Ula Fala.

L.A.Knight facing Solo Sokia in singles. Jacob and Tonga Loa at ringside. This is not going to end pretty. Needless to say that the match fell apart, Solo disqualified when Jacob when after L.A. Knight. Apollo Crews and Andrade in the ring to help Knight. (Solo pissed off with the loss at War Games, taking it out on anyone they please.

Bayley on her way to the ring, facing Chelsea Green for the ring to face Michin in the final of the United States Women’s Title match. Holy Cow, Chelsea pulled out the win. She almost got it by way of a count out but Bayley got back in the ring just in time.

Cody is in the ring for an interview ahead of his match with Kevin Owens on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Kevin is out in his car. I can’t see this ending well. Cody has gone after Kevin in the back but its heading to the ring. This all out fight is getting nasty, trying to save this for Long Island on Saturday night. Kevin knocked out Cody with the Championship belt.

RAW and Smackdown Post War Games

RAW was interesting, to say the least. We were setting up for the final special of the year, Saturday Night Main Event in New York.

The Royal Rumble is listed for February 1st, which is interesting, especially to see who might return and who is making an appearance. Elimination Chamber is the final PLE before Wrestlemania.

CM Punk opened the show tonight, talking about the Survivor Series and the possible favours he has in hand. Seth Rollins came out with the set-up for a feud between the two. I’m not sure how long this will last, but if you remember, Seth was not happy when Punk returned at the 2024 Survivor Series. Jey and Sami came out to break things up, creating a match between Sami and Seth for the Main Event.

Damage Control faced Liv Morgan/Raquel who got the win but with Live/Raquel starting a beatdown on Iyo and Kari, Rhea came out to help but Liv/Raquel went after Rhea. Next week on RAW, Raquel will have a match with Rhea.

Gunther had a chat with Kathy Kelly when Finn showed up demanding a title shot. Claiming that he helped Gunther keep his belt. Later on, Dom had a match with Gunther but lost in the end. Finn got his title match for Saturday Night’s Masin Event but Adam Pearce told Finn that there needs to be a discussion on the Tag Team Titles. (Chatter is that Damien Preist will return with Bad Bunny for a tag team run, take the Tag Titles from Finn and J.D.)

Dakota Kai wins the qualifying match for the Intercontentional Ladies Title.

It was supposed to be a special celebration of The New Day 10 years together but it fell flat as they kicked out Big E because he would not work through the injury he has. There is still no word if E can return or how this storyline might play out. Time will tell how things will go.

Sami and Seth Met for the Main Event of the night, Seth eventually got the win but Sami got taken out after Seth left the ring. To everyone’s surprise, it was the return of Drew McIntyre. I’m not sure how this will play out or why Sami. Is it still all about CM Punk? Only time will tell at this point.

**SMACKDOWN

The show opened with a recap of what happened at Survivor Series.

Cody is on his way to the ring. Talking about his match against Kevin Owens on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Chad Gable with American Made. Chad runs his mouth, getting his way for a match later in the evening.

Triple threat match for the right to compete in the Semi-final of the Women’s United States Championship Title match. Elektra Lopez and Naomi join Tiffany Stratton. The semi-finals will see Bayley facing Chelsea Green and Michin versus Tiffany Stratton.

Street Profits attacked taking them out of the Title match for the Smackdown Men’s Tag Belts. DIY will take on Motor City Machine Guns later in the show. I am not sure why the title changed but it happened. DIY are your new Smackdown Men’s Tag Champions.

Bianca Belair faced Piper Niven. Chelsea Green was at ringside to help but Bianca held her own for the win. I have no clue how but she pulled it off. Chelsea stuck her nose in, working on Bianca while Piper had the Ref occupied. (There is chatter that it was Charlotte who attacked Jade Cargill)

Michael Cole had to go out to Kevin Owen’s car to conduct an interview.

The main event was Cody Rhodes taking on Chad Gable. American Made tried to interfere but the ref tossed them from ringside. Chad did a real number on Cody’s ankle but it was Cody who found some reserve to overpower Chad for the win. Kevin Owens did show up, going after the ankle that Chad had worked on most of the match, trying to injure Cody even more before their match on the 14th at Saturday Night Main Event
