WWE Notes Before Money in the Bank

As RAW and Smackdown get ready to head to M.I.T.B this coming weekend. This entry is my take on matches, and what happened on both shows.

**RAW

Dom/Rhea is the ring to open the show, Well, try to anyway. The way Dom keeps getting booed when he tries to talk is funny. (Been reading that fans are tired of Rhea not helping the women’s division more. She is not defending the belt as she should. I have been reading that there will be a feud on the way with Raquel Rodriguez that should set up a match for Summerslam) Cody is on his way to the ring, here is hoping that Cody gets the cheap shot in for a change. What a chicken, Cody in the ring/Dom out, with Rhea standing between them. OK, who else is over this storyline? Cody called Dom a scared little boy, and Dom walked off.

Shinsuke/Ricochet in a match. Bronson Reed was at ringside to watch but eventually got ejected from ringside. Ricochet would eventually go on to win the match.

Dom is demanding a match tonight because he says that Cody embarrassed him, SERIOUSLY???

Shayna/Ronda on the way to the ring, with Ronda in a single match against Raquel. Liv/Raquel wants a rematch for the Women’s Tag Titles, which Liv and Raquel never lost due to Liv’s injury.

Seth is in the ring to answer Finn Balor’s message from earlier. Seth/Finn in a match at M.I.T.B. It’s going to get nasty, Finn is out to destroy Seth at all costs, taking back the title he has to relinquish due to injury. Once again Finn jumps Seth making sure he is injured for the match on Saturday. Carmello Hayes making his RAW debut facing Finn Balor.

**SMACKDOWN

Final Smackdown before Money in the Bank. Anything is possible today. Smackdown is at the 02 in London.

Kevin/Sami is in the ring to face Pretty Deadly. Putting the tag team titles on the line. Pretty Deadly tried everything possible but it was Sami/Kevin in the end, keeping the belts.

Rich Holland facing Austin Theory. If Rich wins he gets a shot at the US title. (Pete/Sheamus sent Rich to the ring on his own)A jab to the throat of Rich gives Austin the win. (Been reading that fans are getting tired of Austin, along with his always cheating to win. time to put the belt on someone who would be proud to defend the belt properly)

Recap of the collapse of the Bloodline.

Bayley’s spot in the M.I.T.B ladder match is on the line against Shotzi. (this match should have taken place a couple of weeks ago but it was Vince that had other ideas)That was a waste of time.

L.A. Knight/Santos Escobar/Butch in a triple-threat match

Charlotte facing Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s title. Bianca Belair at ringside. Need I say more.

Well, this should be interesting. Roman is on his way to the ring. With Paul Heyman/Solo Sokoa (what is so dominant when you have help keeping the title/hardly ever defend it) Roman demands that Jimmy/Jey come out, bow down to him and apologize. the twins arrived at ringside Yea, Right. Roman screaming that you are nothing without me. Jimmy shoved Roman, and Jey super-kicked him, needless to say, war has begun.

See you tomorrow for Money in the Bank

WWE Notes Week ending June 23/24

Seth Rollins was attacked by Finn Balor at the opening of the show. Not sure why, but Seth had issued an open challenge for tonight, also defending the title against Braun Breakker tomorrow night on NXT.

Tomasson Ciampa has returned to answer The Miz’s open challenge. (Rumour — they might reunite Johnny Gargano/Tomasso Ciampa as a tag team)

Judgement Day out complaining about life. (Rumour is that the fans are tired of Rhea being stuck in the Judgement Day, NOT defending the Women’s title, she is not doing enough to help promote the Women’s division as a title holder)

A recap of the fall of the Bloodline. There will be a tag team match between Roman/Solo facing The Usos at Money in the Bank.

Tag Team match with Chelsea Green/Sonya Deville facing Kayden Carter/Katana Chance

Cody Rhodes was out chatting with Cathy Kelly, Judgement Day challenged Cody to a 6 Man Tag Team. Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn joining Cody.

Logan Paul managed to get himself into the Men’s Money in the Bank match.

Raquel Rodriguez facing Trish Stratus for the final spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Thanks to Becky Trish is in the match.

**Payback will take place on September 2 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

**NXT

North American Title on the line has Wes Lee facing Tyler Bate. Mustafa Ali is the Ref.

#1 contenders triple threat as Jenson/Briggs with Fallon in their corner facing Walker/Ledger and Blade/Enfoe. What a dog fight, in the end, the surprise turned out to be Blade/Enofe.

Cora Jade facing Dana Brooke.

Carmello Hayes is out to talk with Barron Corbin — I can’t see this ending well.

**Great American Bash on July 30th in Cedar Park Texas

The Heavyweight title is on the line, as Seth Rollins defends against Bron Brekker. Seth has his ribs taped up after the attack by Finn Balor on RAW. Seth with the win. I couldn’t see the belt changing hands with Money in the Bank in a week.

**Smackdown

The show is in the Cajundome in Louisiana

The show opened with a recap of the imploding of the Bloodline.

Jimmy/Jey Uso is in the ring, looking happy.

Rey Mysterio facing L.A. Knight. Knight tried to steal Rey’s mask.

Rich Hollister got spiked by Solo. No reason for it. Sheamus is out screaming for Solo for a match.

Shayna/Ronda is out to defend the Tag Team Titles against the Women’s Tag Team title holders Alba Fyre/Isla Dawn. Whoever wins will unify both titles, defending them on all three shows. (NXT/Smackdown/RAW) Needless to say, Rousey/Baszler won. Raquel was out at ringside watching the match. Raquel demands a rematch for the rings they never lost, and here comes Liv Morgan.

Street Profits out to face Pretty Deadly.

Charlotte Evans taking on Lacey Evans. (Not a fan of Lacey being a heal. I feel she is a better babyface. Her moves are better, not dictated when Lacey is a heel compared to not having a worry as a babyface) Where is Asuka, will she show up and spit mist? Told you Asuka would show up.

Solo Sokia with Paul Heyman on the way to the ring in a match with Sheamus. (Solo is still filthy that The Usos blew up The Bloodline) The Usos showed up, taking out Solo in the middle of the ring before he could do any more damage to Sheamus.

WWE Notes Weekending June 17

Sorry for being late as hubby Phil had surgery this past Thursday and is now home.

Our Condolences to the family of the Iron Sheik at the news of his passing.

Just a reminder that this is my opinion on the week’s shows.

**RAW

The show opened with Adam Pearce in the ring presenting Rhea with a new RAW Women’s belt. It looks similar to Seth Rollins’ Heavyweight belt, but there are some changes. Of course, Dom Dom had to show up. Cody Rhodes came out to face Dom once again but got blindsided by The Miz, Cody would face Dom in a match later on. Cody/Dom is scheduled for a match at Money in the Bank. Cody would face The Miz after the commercial, with Cody winning.

Matt Riddle would face Damien Priest for the final spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match which, Damien would win. (Rumor has it that Damien may get kicked out of Judgement Day, turning him babyface. Being rewarded for all his hard work of late)

Becky Lynch is in the ring to cut a promo and have a match with Chelsea Green. Zoe Stark, watching from the Ramp, sitting on a ladder.

Seth Rollins putting the Heavyweight Championship on the line against Finn Balor at Money in the Bank.

Ricochet faced Bronson Reed. Shinsuke Nakamura got involved causing a disqualification and giving the win to Bronson.

Raquel Rodriguez took on Shayna Baszler with Ronda Rousey in her corner. Needless to say with Ronda’s help, as per usual Shayna got the win.

Kevin Owens/ Sami Zayn putting the Tag Team belts on the line against Gunther/Lugwig Kaiser. It was a hell of a match, with some help from Matt Riddle, Kevin dropped Gunther on his head on the ramp, keeping him away from the ring so Sami could pin Kaiser.

**NXT

6 man tag team has Schism facing Mustafa Ali/Tyler Bate/Wes Lee. I am a fan of Tyler’s (watching him win the first NXT U.K Title) Tyler Bate with the pin, for the win

Bron Brekker issued a challenge to Seth Rollins for a title match, which Seth accepted. The match will take place next week.

Cora Jade (the resident bully) faces off against Thea Hail (I am still amazed that Thea won the battle royal to face Tiffany Straun for the NXT Women’s title. I can see Thea winning but hope it’s a good match, letting it play out) Dana Brooks at ringside after Cora slapped Dana during her interview. Thea with the Kamora lock forcing Cora to tap out

*Great American Bash is scheduled for July 30th

Roxanne Perez calls out Blair Davenport.

Barron Corbin facing Illja Dragunov. (The winner of this match is the #1 contender for the NXT Men’s title) It was a good match, but having pockets of taking charge in the match. Breakker stuck his nose in giving Corbin the win but Corbin gets jumped by Camillo Hayes.

**Smackdown

Tag Team Gaulant match for face Kevin/Sami. Street Profits start out against The Brawling Brutes (Rich Holland/Sheamus) Brawling Brutes continue to face the Good Brothers (The O.C) (Gallows/Anderson) The Brutes beat the Good Brothers now facing the L.W.O. The Brutes take out the L.W.O and Hight Row. Pretty Deadly is the final team. (fingers crossed for the Brutes, not a fan of Pretty Deadly) Once again, Pretty Deadly steal the win, facing Kevin/Sami in 2 weeks at Money in the Bank.

Iyo Sky heading to the ring to face Zelina Vega. Thanks to Bayley getting involved, Zelina gets the win.

Michin/A.J Styles is on the way to the ring for a mixed tag team against Karron Kross/Scarlet.

The question of the night is will Jey Uso fall in line or tell Roman to get screwed? (Rumor is that Jey will face Roman at Money in the Bank) Jimmy just asks Jey who he believes, Roman or Jimmy? Jey just super-kicked Roman, and they turned on Sakoa also. Roman is livid. Screaming at the twins. Roman gets super kicked a second time. The twins are out. (You should hear the Universe, they are cheering the boys) Paul Heyman ran like the coward he is.

The Bloodline is NO MORE

Breakfast RAW

With the time difference, I get RAW on Tuesday mornings during breakfast time.

The show tonight is in Hartford, Connecticut

*Congratulations to Riddick Moss/Emma who got engaged this past weekend.

*Best Wishes to Braun Strowman as he recovers from back surgery.

Seth working on a promo for his match with Damien from Judgement Day. Seth is facing Damien for the Heavyweight Title that Seth just won at Night of Champions. Seth tells Damien that no one is at ringside, (Finn stays in the back. I can’t see it happening but it could be a good match provided outside interference stays away) It’s been a great match so far. Seth/Damien are giving it their all. Finn showed up, and Damien wondered what he is doing out there? In the end, Damien’s shoulder is not able to

Becky Lynch facing Sonya Deville for a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Trish Stratus/Zoey Stark out to watch the match, hoping the distraction would cause Becky to lose. (Spoiler — Becky Wins)

Kevin Owens in an impromptu match with Gunther. Thanks to help from Giovanni Vinci/Ludwig Kaiser Gunther gets the win. (Could have been a pretty decent match provided no outside interference.)

Ronda Rousey/Shayna having a chat with Byron backstage. (This should be an interesting tag run, want to see how long they get to keep the belts. I had read, that Ronda had pitched a storyline that she turns on Shayna, and now that could be interesting if it’s done right) How many people are they going to hurt in the process? Katana Chance/Kayden Carter brought the challenge to Ronda/Shayna for a match. This won’t be pretty but I hope that K and K can hold their own.

Shinsuke Nakamura on the way to the ring to face off against Ricochet. Bronson Reed plays a spoiler.

Cody Rhodes is on his way to the ring to chat with The Miz. Dom with a cheap shot on Cody who runs and hides behind Rhea. Cody knocks out Miz with his right arm cast.

Natalya facing off against Zoey Stark for a spot in the Money in the Bank. Zoey has Trish Stratus in her corner. I will not be surprised at all to see Becky out to help Natalya or at least cause a distraction. Of course with a little help from Trish, Zoey with the win.

Smackdown Live June 2/3

It will be interesting to see the fallout from Night of Champions, especially with Roman and the Bloodline. supposed to be a happy time with Roman having the belt for 1,000 days but has that superkick heard worldwide changed everything?

**Congratulations to Alexa Bliss and her hubby on the news of their new addition due in December. Lexa has a new contract and will return at some point next year post-baby when she is ready.

The opening match-up tonight is Austin Theory teaming with Pretty Deadly in a 6-man tag team match against the Brawling Bruits (Sheamus/Rich/Pete). Theory wanted Sheamus, so Pete tagged him but did a runner to get away. Trying to get in Sheamus’s head, making a mistake. Just when Sheamus had Autin ready to pin, Deadly pulled him to safety. once again stealing the win.

HIt Row facing The O.C. in tag action

**Seth Rollins’s first title defence against Damien Priest from Judgement Day on RAW.

Asuka on Greyson Waller but Iyo Skye has walked out. Rumour is that Iyo will be the next challenger for the RAW Women’s Belt. Bayley is also out to play spoiler, and Lacey Evans has shown up to play spoiler also. Bianca out of nowhere takes it to Asuka.

Zelina Vega beats Lacey Evans for entry into Money in the Bank.

Montez Ford facing L.A. Knight for a spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. Knight uses the ropes to steal the win, securing a place in the match in London.

Triple H in the ring to acknowledge Roman’s 1,000 days. H presented Roman with a new belt. Solo is still not reacting to anything. (this has gone to Roman’s head, the character is old, and it’s time to end this story. Rumour has it that this won’t end until Wrestlemania 40 when Cody finally beats Roman.) Roman was demanding his normal Acknowledge Me.” The Twins (Jimmy/Jey) were not supposed to show up tonight. They were told they were not invited by Roman. Jimmy/Jey have shown up anyway. Roman told JImmy to kick Jey in the head/fix the mess he made.

Roman shoved the mic to Solo, who acknowledged Roman but Sol is now standing with Jimmy/Jey. (I love the fact Roman has no clue what to do. Just yelling, trying to control everyone so he can have it all his own way. As Phil just said, Roman’s way or no way. Solo just flattened Jimmy with a spike.)

The fallout from Night of Champions on RAW

The show is coming from Albany, New York

Tonight will be interesting, to say the least with the fallout.

What was Zoey Stark doing in Jeddah, let alone helping Trish. I can see another part to the fued between Becky/Trish

Seth is in the ring to celebrate his win. Seth entered through the crowd. A.J. Styles just walked out. (Styles needs a haircut). Seth offered his hand in congratulations to A.J. Then, Judgement Day walked out. Damien said that with the Bloodline imploding, Judgement Day now runs the WWE. Styles/Rollins facing 2 of Judgement Day in the Main Event.

Money in the Bank qualifying match has Ricochet on his way to the ring facing The Miz. It was a good match, but Ricochet took the win with the edge.

Trish Stratus along with Zoey Stark in the ring, going on and on about the win. Becky came out, it was on for young and old but in the end, Zoey/Trish got the better of Becky.

Kevin/Sami are in the ring having a bit of a celebration, Imperium just walked out. Alpha Academy soon followed, and we now have a tag match. Kevin/Sami talking to the boys at the desk.

Fatal 4-way for the Women’s Tag Team Titles, facing off will be Shotzi/Raquel vs Ronda/Shayna vs Bayley/Iyo vs Chelsea Green/Sonya Deville. This can go any way possible. I would love for Shotzi/Raquel to win but rumour has it Raquel will be getting a singles push. (Money in the Bank) Raquel just flattened Ronda, love it. It went as I suspected, the rumour was they were going to put the tag belts on Ronda/Shayna which they did. Well, 2 heels holding the tag belts, won’t change hands anytime soon.

Dolph Ziggler is in the house to face off against, J.D. McDonagh. It’s a double-count out. J.D. won’t be happy until he injures Dolph.

Cody Rhodes is in the house. Cody is in the ring. Cody refused to tap out to Brock. Cody said that Brock was not man enough to make him tap out.

Money in the Bank qualifying match with Bronson Reed facing Shinsuke. I have no clue how Shinsuke won.

Seth/A.J. facing from Judgement Day — Dom, and Damien. but that was a diversion. It’s Finn, not Dom. Rhea/Dom just got evicted from Ringside. It was a battle with things getting out of hand at times but finally, Judgement Day has a loss. Thanks, A.J. for coming to help.

Night of Champions

(It was a long night as I watched things play out live. I was surprised by some things, not surprised by others and on a couple of things I am still going what?! )

Jeddah is a beautiful city.

This will be an interesting night. Expect anything to happen.

The card was set but changed at the last minute to help Seth Rollins. Seth is filming a movie, and they worked things out for him to go to Night of Champions, Seth had to return to the set to finish filming.

The ladies must be covered to their wrists and can’t show any bare legs. The card has changed over the years, the first time there was only one women’s match. On this trip, there are 3 women’s matches on the card.

***Money in the Bank is July 1 at the O2 arena in London. Qualifying matches start on Monday night on RAW and will continue on Smackdown.

**MATCH 1 — World Heavyweight title match. A.J. Styles faces off against Seth Rollins. I expect this match to be amazing, there is everything on the line with this one. (A.J. was out for 4 months with a broken ankle. Ring Rust with A.J.?) I wish you could see what Seth is wearing. They are not disappointing, they are throwing everything at each other. A.J. just dropped Seth on the back of his head on the ring apron. A.J. with the calf crusher on the tweaked knee of Seth. What timing, A.J. coming with the forearm but Seth nailed him with a superkick. Seth with a stomp finally pins A.J. It was all that it lived up to, it was a hell of a match. (I am not surprised by the outcome of this one. It was an amazing match, had everything that was expected and more. Triple H presents Seth with the belt. )

**MATCH 2 — Becky Lynch faces off against Trish Stratus. This fued will continue to Summerslam. (Becky/Trish both requested to work together. Trish looks amazing after all these years. Trish is playing the heel. Hoping that Becky can find her nasty streak, I think this fued will need it) Trish trash talking to Becky, once close enough Becky punched Trish in the face. This match has actually been better than expected, they are not holding back tonight. Zoey Stark sticks her nose in where it doesn’t belong, helping Trish with the win.

**MATCH 3 — For the Intercontentional Title defence has Gunter facing off against Mustafa Ali. Gunther has held the title for almost a year. I agree with Michael Cole, I can’t see anyone taking the title from him anytime soon. Mustafa has a chance here but I really can’t see the title change. I hope they give it the respect it deserves. Ali keeps showing life in this match but Gunther seems to find a way to stop the momentum. Gunter had enough, making Ali pay once again but taking it to him. Gunter keeps the title. It’s a rare match to see Gunter rocked by his opponent.

**MATCH 4 — RAW Women’s Championship match between title holder Bianca Belair facing Asuka. It’s going to be nasty, to say the least. Bianca needs to watch for the mist, that Askua can use at any time. Asuka has turned heel, and Bianca is going to be in trouble. ( Rumour is that Bianca may be turning heel, along with the Street Profits. Wouldn’t that be a faction to deal with, put them up against Judgement Day.) Asuka keeps trying different submission hold but Bianca keeps finding ways to escape. ( Just wondering if Bianca needs a bit of a fresh up, lose the braid?) Asuka keeps using the braid any time she can make it work to her advantage. (Even Jennifer, the Ref must wear long sleeves under her Ref shirt.) Thanks to a rake of the eyes with fingers covered in blue mist, Asuka is now the RAW Womens Champion. (I am not sure why they moved the belt of Bianca, to give Asuka one last run or to keep this storyline moving on to Summerslam.)

**MATCH 5 — Smackdown Women’s title match has Rhea defending against Nayalya. Of course, Dom is with Rhea, so I expect him to stick his nose in. I don’t even understand this match. There is no real storyline here unless Natty is getting ready to retire soon. Needless to say, Natalya never had a chance. This match was a joke more a less. took up space, and wasted time on the card but all titles had to be defended.

**MATCH 6 — Cody Rhodes facing Brock Lesner. This will be ugly from the start. Brock did break Cody’s are on RAW last Monday night. Cody is working with a cast on his right arm. Not sure how bad the break was. Once Cody realized he could use the cast as a weapon, it was on. Brock put Cody in the Kamora Lock 3 to 4 times, finally, the pain took over, with Cody passing out. Once the bell rang, Brock refused to break the hold but he finally did. I can see a rubber match at Summerslam, this war is not over by a long shot.

**Match 7 — Tag Team titles on the line as Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens defend against Roman Reigns/Solo Sokia. Roman has treated Jimmy and Jey Uso like dirt this entire time. The twins did all of Roman’s dirty work along with Solo to make sure that Roman kept the belts. Roman is so full of himself that it was a formality that he and Solo would beat Sami/Kevin and bring the belts back. (From what I have read, the WWE Universe is so over this story it needs to end, sooner the better, remains to be seen what will happen at Summerslam. (The rumour is Roman is taking time off. Once against the Smackdown belts will not be defended anytime soon.) It was hard at times to hear Michael/Cory with the crowd keeping the noise up. Roman just speared the Ref so its now on for young and old. Jimmy/Jey have showed up, trying to help Roman/Solo. Jimmy just superkicked Roman, the cracks are growing.

Thanks to Jimmy/Jey, Kevin/Sami are still the undisputed Tag Team Champions.

Smackdown Live April 19/20

Tonight’s show is taking place at the University of South Carolina

Our Condolences to the Family of Superstar Billy Gramham at the news of his passing

Roman’s day count is 992 at the time of this blog.

Roman, Solo and Paul are on the way to the ring. Showing footage of last week, Roman demands that the twins apologize. Paul announcing that Roman/Solo will take on Kevin/Sami at Night of Champions for the Tag titles. (I can’t see those titles changing hands. No real reason in my book. This storyline should have ended months ago.) OMG, Kevin Owens just walked out with Sami. The Twins jumped Kevin/Sami but Roman was irate, screaming “This was not the plan.”

****NEWS JUST IN — due to Liv’s injury. Raquel/Live has vacated the Women’s Tag Team titles. A new champion will be crowned on the 29th of May on RAW. Just announced on Smackdown that a fatal 4 way will take place — Raquel/partner of her choosing vs Ronda Rousey/Shayna vs Bayley/Iyo Sky vs Chelsea Green/Sonya Deville

The Usos facing the L.W.O. in a tag team match later on tonight. Thanks to some extra help from Kevin/Sami the L.W.O. win the match.

Pretty Deadly meeting the Brawling Bruits for the first time.

Asuka on her way to the ring, (I had read that Asuka might be headed for a heal turn?) (Bianca will put the title on the line at Night of Champion against Asuka). Zelina is Asuka’s opponent tonight)

Seth Rollins is facing A.J Styles for the World Heavyweight Champion at Night of Champions. (IF A.J. wins, there would be a trade to move A.J. to RAW since that is where the belt is based. This is my thinking)

Street Profits are on the way for a tag match against L.A. Knight/Rick Boogs

NXT Women’s Tag Team champions — Isla Dawn/Alba Fyre are in action for the first time since being drafted to Smackdown.

RAW April 15/16

Greensborough, North Carolina

Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn opened the show. the tag team belts are on the line at Night of Champions in a week. Sami just told Roman that he can’t have the tag team titles. For whatever reason, Judgement Day has shown up. Finn has wished them luck but when they return, the line starts with Judgement Day. Of course, Rhea causes problems and they go after Kevin. Sami with a chair cleared the ring.

Shinsuke is on his way to the ring to face The Miz.

World Heavyweight Championship will be decided when Seth Rollins faces A.J Styles at Night of Champions

Imperium is on the way to the ring, and Gunther is to have his first match since getting drafted by RAW.

30-Man Battle Royal to determine Gunther’s next opponent. Mustafa Ali is the winner.

Xavier Woods heading to the ring to face Dominick Mysterio. Rhea is at ringside. (I read somewhere that Rhea needs to be careful how much she interferes in Judgement Day matches because she is drumming the risk of being stripped of the Women’s Belt)

Indus Sher makes their RAW debut

Cody is on the way to the ring. “So, What do you want to talk about?”

Raquel facing Chelesa Green. Chelsea had her 2 minutes but Raquel made her pay

**Main Event is Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens facing Finn/Damien from Judgement Day. Needless to say, things fell apart including help from Imperium thanks to a call by Paul Heyman, Trying to hurt Kevin/Sami before Night of Champions
