Wrestlemania Night 2

It’s going to be another night of expecting the unexpected when you least expect it. We saw belts change hands, cheered undogs on to victory and created new Wrestlemania memories. tonight will be more of the same

**MATCH 1 — Brock Lesnar facing Omos. I have no clue what to think about this match. Brock is going to have his work cut out for him. Brock struggled to pull out an F5 but he managed to get one enough to take the win. It was a short match but it was to the point.

**MATCH 2 — Women’s Tag Team Fatal Four Way — Raquel/Liv vs Chelsea Green/Sonya Deville vs Rhonda/Shayna vs Natalya/Shotzi. this is a crazy match that can go any way. Being kept out for most of the match but also planning when to strike, it was Bazler/Rousey with the win

**MATCH 3 –Intercontentional Title on the line with the current holder Gunther facing Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre. This can go any way possible, I would love to see Sheamus finally get the title he has waited for but Gunther is going to be difficult to beat. They are all leaving everything in the ring, it’s been a great match so far. Gunther hid for a good part of the match, letting Drew/Sheamus fight it out themselves, but just as Sheamus was about to pin Drew to win the belt, Gunther came out of nowhere coming from the top rope to stop the count pinning Drew for the win. Gunther keeps the title.

**MATCH 4 — Raw Women’s Title match has Bianca Belair the current title holder facing Asuka. This is another match that can go either way. Asuka entered first, Bianca on her way to the ring. this has been a pretty even match to this point. You would not think Bianca is as strong as she is. That was the closest that Bianca has come to pinning Asuka. Have to give Asuka the credit, she gave Bianca everything she could and more but Bianca was too strong today. Congrats to Bianca Belair who retains. (Bianca ducked missing the blue mist)

*** Tonight’s attendance is 81, 395 for a two-night total of 161, 892

Shane O Mac has come out which is a bit of a shock, Snoop Dog out the Miz in another match. The Miz just got a punch from Snoop, and the second punch knocked Miz out. Snoop Dog with the win

**MATCH 5 — Edge facing Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match. Finn is coming as the Deamon. It is going to get very ugly but doesn’t it always in a match like this. Edge entered first, as per his Brood days, through the floor surrounded by fire. Finn is on his way to the ring dressed as the Demon, which in the past matches has taken many forms. The steel chairs are red. There is stuff littered all over the ring, broken tables, ladders anything they could use on each other but it was a conchairton to Finn by Edge for the win.

**MATCH 6 — Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. Cody enters first, check out Cody’s ring attire. Cody goes over to his wife, Brandy for some encouragement, and gets a hug from his daughter Liberty. Roman enters with Paul Heyman, and Solo Sakoa (dressed in his ring attire) with him also. The twins are nowhere to be seen after their loss last night. Phil made the comment about who is going to help Roman keep the belt, I have a feeling he is right. Should have known when Solo walked out with Roman this belt was not changing hands. Sakoa finally got caught and tossed out. It is finally a match that needed to happen all along. Well, this is reading like the normal Roman steal, the twins have just shown up to help Roman after the Ref got knocked out. It was Solo who showed back up in a black sweatshirt to put the final nail in the coffin stealing the win from Cody. Well, I have no words to finish this day out. Let’s see what happens, will there be a rematch with stipulations that no one is allowed at ringside to assist Roman? Yea, I know I am dreaming there but a girl can hope, right?

Thanks for sharing the last two days with me. See you tomorrow on RAW for the fallout of what should be an interesting day.

Wrestlemania 2023 — Night 1

This is that weekend when you need to expect the unexpected when you least expect it. both cards are exciting, and it’s hard to make the call about who should win. I know who I would like to see take the win but looking at things on paper, becomes another story.

Becky G singing America the Beautiful

**MATCH 1 — The opening match tonight is for the United States Championship (Austin chose to enter first) — Austin Theory facing John Cena. Austin playing the heel is so sure of himself. John has had some of his very best matches on the biggest stage. I would love to see John take the win but if it is Austin, will it be a clean win or will he cheat to get it. I just want John to punch him in the face, at least once. Austin just bit John’s ear, (YES you read that correctly) Austin takes the win and it was dirty, a low blow on John.

**MATCH 2 — Men’s Fatal Four-way Tag Team Match — Braun/Ricochet vs Viking Raiders vs Street Profits vs Alpha Academy. My two favourite teams are Braun/Richchet and Street Profits. I have never seen Braun do a frog splash. It was the Street Profits pulling out the win. What great chemistry they have, I love watching them work.

**MATCH 3 — Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul — This has to be a Seth win. they have kept letting Logan get the better of Seth but it can’t happen this time. Both make grand entrances. I did read that Logan’s WWE contract expires after Wrestlemania but it will be interesting to see if they resign him? It has been all Logan so far but Seth keeps himself in all of this. Logan has set up Seth with a Buddy of his dressed in a Prime Drink bottle. Logan splashed his business partner. Seth thought he had the win but how did Logan kick out. Logan Paul just got stomped out, Seth with the win. It was a good match, I have to admit.

**MATCH 4 — 6 Women Tag Team Match with Becky, Lita and Trish Stratus facing Damage Control. Damage Control keeps the ring cut in half so Becky, Trish and Lita can’t make tags. Well, that was a unique move by Becky, Trish and Lita. Got to give the Ref credit for giving this match leeway as needed. That match was a bit of a mess but it was good, wish it had been given a little more time but in the end, it would be Becky, Lita and Trish with the win.

**MATCH 5 — Rey Mysterio facing Dominick. I have become less and less of a fan of this storyline. My gut tells me that Judgement day will come into play but it also that Latino World Order will be around to help out if needed. OMG – really Dom walking to the ring surrounded. Geesh. He even has handcuffs on. (Cory needs to SHUT UP) Rey came out in Snoop Dog’s lowrider. Dom is rubbing his backside after that one. Angie just Slammed dom, YES. Judgement Day showed up but so did Latino Heat. Even some help from Bad Bunny got the well-deserved win. As Phil just said, Dom pushed Rey too far, and something had to give way.

**MATCH 6 — It’s the Smackdown woman’s Championship match between Charlotte facing Rhea Ripley. My gut is telling me that Rhea will pull this one out but Charlotte can hold her own, especially on the big stage. This is a history-making night with Jessica the ref and the announcer Sam tasking their place with Charlotte/Rhea. It is the first time 4 women have taken place in a match of this importance. It’s been a hell of a battle. OMG, what is past the kitchen sink, what does Charlotte need to do to finish this match? It was an extremely physical, hard fight, and dig deep match I have seen in a long time. Congrats to Adelaide native Rhea Ripley.

***Tonight’s attendance is 80, 497

**MAIN EVENT — MATCH 7 — Tag Team Belts are on the line with Sami Zayne/Kevin Owens facing off against The Uso. (these are both tag belts). In my opinion, it’s going to get dirty and be a real fight. The universe will not settle for anything less but Sami/Kevin leaving night one with the belts. Put your seatbelts on because we are going for a ride through hell. I have no clue whatsoever how Kevin/Sami managed to keep kicking out. Phil and I both have ridden the wave through this storyline, agreeing that it was time for it to end. It was hard to hear Michael/Cory when the 3 counts happened.

Congratulations to Kevin Owen/Sami Zayne the new undisputed Tag Team Champions.

** See you tomorrow for night 2 of Wrestlemania.

Monday RAW — the fallout from Royal Rumble

Tonight’s show is in Tulsa, Oklahoma

The show opens with a recap of Cody willing the Men’s Rumble. 62 days til Wrestlemania. Cody just told Roman I am coming for you. the Judgement Day would be the spoilers, Cody is not happy. Dom demands an apology because Cody ruined Dom’s moment. Edge with some unfinished business with Judgement Day.

**Elimination Chamber Qualifying match — Seth Rollins facing Chad Gable, Otis in his corner. It was a bit of a battle, looking like Chad might get the upper hand but in the end, Seth with the win.

Iyo Sky (Dakota and Bayley at ringside) faces the Poison Pixie Candance LaRae (Michin in Candace’s corner) thanks to interference, Iyo steals the win.

Rhea Ripley has chosen her Wrestlemania match against Charlotte Flair.

**Elimination Chamber Qualifying match — Johnny Gargano with Dester Lumas in his corner faces Baron Corbin with J.B.L in his corner. It was Corbin’s match to lose, with a little outside help from Dexter in the name of an axe through JBL’s hat, Johnny with the win.

The V.I.P. lounge with guest Austin Theory having a chat with M.V.P. Bobby Lashley on his way to the ring. Theory pulls MVP into the way of a spear.

Finn Balor faces Cody Rhodes but we all know that the rest of Judgement Day will be at ringside.

The first 4 Women to qualify for Elimination Chamber will be Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Liv Morgan and Nikki Cross. The final 2 will be decided in a fatal 4-way match. Candice LeRae, Michin, Carmella and Piper Niven.

Dolph Ziggler facing Bronson Reed in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber. With the size of Reed, I totally expect Reed to win this match. I know that Dolph has pulled out a rabbit out of his hat by stealing wins in the past so anything is possible. The United States Belt will be on the line at Elimination Chamber. Bronson Reed outpowers Ziggler.

Next week Men’s Qualifying Matches for the Elimination Chamber include Montez Ford facing Elias and Angelo Dawkins vs Damian Priest. Judgement Day had Cody surrounded but Edge takes out Judgement Day from the crowd. Beth takes Rhea out with a massive spear. Giving Cody the much-needed advantage to get the win with the assist to Edge and Beth.

Monday Night RAW

Tonight’s show is coming from Norfolk, Virginia. The first hour is commercial-free tonight.

Waiting to see what kind of fallout there is from the War Games PPV over the past weekend.

Becky Lynch is on her way to the ring. Opening the show tonight sounds like it’s a catch-up promo. Becky is in the crowd for some high-fives. Bayley had to limp her way out, running her mouth about how she is the role model. Dakota/Io came out of the crowd. right now it’s a 3-on-1. Finally took refs and security to split them up.

Recap of the O.C. when Mia Yim joined. It was Mia who put Rhea through a ladder in War Games. Mia faces Mia in the ring, one on one. Dominic stuck his nose in Rhea’s match and war broke out as Judgement Day/the O.C. both showed up. It’s turned into an 8 man take the team. It’s been a see-saw battle, too hard to call. It would end up being Judgement Day but this war is still not over, you can see it.

Street Profits are returning tonight. They will be facing the Alpha Academy in a tag team match.

Oh Geesh, here comes The Usos, Solo Sakoa, Samy Zayne, and Jey Uso has a broken hand. Talking about the weekend events. (this storyline is getting old, it’s time for it to be finished. Here is hoping that finally at Wrestlemania it ends for good) Kevin Owens is out having a chat, telling Samy that they are done. Jey stood up for Samy but Jey faced Kevin in a match later on.

Candice LeRae (out 5 weeks) returning tonight after being out thanks to Damage Control. Candice will be facing Dakota Kai later tonight.

Recap of the triple threat match with Seth Rollins/Bobby Lashley/Austin Theory. Austin is on his way to the ring to talk about his win. Seth finally came out to put a stop to Theory’s dribble.

Dexter Lumas/ The Miz in an anything-goes match. Dexter wins and he finally gets a contract with WWE.

Dakota Kai (the only one of Damage Control cleared to compete) against Candace LaRae. (Bayley/Io never made it to ringside thanks to the refs stopping them) Damage Control took out Candace for 5 weeks. Candace is having to dig deep to keep surviving, and Dakota is doing all she can to find any way to hurt Candace. Dakota’s biggest problem is letting her frustrations show. Candace with a swinging neck breaker off the top rope gets the win.

The main event is Kevin Owens facing Jey Uso. It’s going to be a hell of a fight. Both competed in War Games. Kevin is on his own but Jey has Jimmy, Solo and Samy in his corner so anything can happen. 48 hours earlier, War Games took place. this felt like another War game in itself. At least no one interfered. Someone how it was Kevin with the win.

Survivor Series : War Games

It is going to be an exciting night. I have heard rumours about certain things but want to wait and see how things will play out.

**Match 1 is the War Games between Bianca Belair/Alexa Bliss/Asuka/Mia Yim/Becky Lynch facing off against Bayley/Dakota Kai/Io Sky/Nikki Cross/Rhea Ripley. 2 rings with 1 cage over both squared circles. Anything goes. The match does not start until all members of both teams are in the ring. Dakota Kai / Bianca Belair starting out, in 5 minutes the next team member who comes in which will be from Damage Control. Io Sky came in for 3 minutes. Asuka has joined Bianca who is able to get a rest. Joining the Tag Team champs is Nikki. Joining Bianca/Asuka is Alexa Bliss. Bayley has joined her team in the ring leaving Rhea to enter last. Mia Yim is on the way. Rhea is in the ring as the final member of Damage Control. Becky is on her way to the ring which gets all members in the ring, officially starting the match. You have to win by submission or pinfall. After Bianca got rid of Bayley, it was Becky with a leap onto a table holding Dakota/Io for the win.

**Match 2 is A.J. Styles facing Finn Bailor in the ring. Will be interesting to see if there will be interference from the outside or will this match be allowed to happen. Both factions will be at ringside. Once both factions fought themselves away from ringside. It was a great match, with the forearm taking Finn out once and for all. A.J. with the win. They both left it all in the ring.

**Match 3 is Ronda Rousey defending the Smackdown title against Shotzi. With Shayna out there in Ronda’s corner I don’t hold out much hope for Shotzi. If Shotzi can do her best to keep Shayna out of the match, she might have a chance. (Raquel is out for 4 to 6 weeks thanks to a broken elbow from Shayna). Shotzi had no choice but to tap. Ronda did not have it her own way tonight. Shotzi will be back.

**Match 4 is a triple threat match with Bobby Lashley/Austin Theory facing Seith Rollins for the United States Belt. Expect the unexpected in triple-threat matches and today was no exception, Austin Theory with the right timing to pin Seth and take the belt. Seth was set for the Falcon Arrow but Bobby with a spear, Austin fell into the cover and for now is the United States Titleholder.

January 28th 2023 in San Antonio will be Survivor Series starting the road to Wrestlemania

**Match 5 — Men’s War Games Match has the Bloodline facing The Brawling Brutes. Kevin Owens/Drew McIntyre/Sheamus/Rich Holland/Butch (starting the match) Roman/Jimmy/Jey/Solo/Samy Zayne. It’s Jey/Butch alone in the cage for 5 minutes. Rich entered next, assuming it would be Jimmy but Roman sent Samy in. Drew came in next for the Brutes. (It’s actually nice to see the Bloodline starting to fall apart.) Kevin Owens is on his way to the ring, loading up on weapons. Kevin just put Jimmy through the table. Solo Sakota joins the war. Roman is the final member of the bloodline to join. Everyone is finally in the ring. Butch just came out of nowhere to save the match. Jey Uso just super kicked Samy (hee, hee) Thanks to Samy Zayne, The Bloodline are the winners but you know the war between Samy/Kevin is just getting started.

See you for the fallout on RAW

Smackdown coming from Anaheim, CA

Logan Paul is on his way to the ring. Logan has issued a challenge to Roman. Paul Heyman has returned with the Blood Line in tow. Now, it’s Samy Zayne in the ring running his mouth.

Ricochet has a match with Samy but there are too many of the Bloodline around. Hope Logan Paul stays in Ricochet’s corner? Ricochet with help from Logan is still in this. Madcap Moss is out to help Ricochet.

Recap of Karron Kross taking out Drew

Raquel taking on Bailey. Bailey has helped with Io/Dakota at ringside. Gee, told you so, 3 on 1 is never good odds. Shotzi out to help Raquel.

Sikoa defending the North American Title against Madcap Moss. Sikoa taking Samy with him to the ring told the Usos to stay in the back. Samy stuck his nose in again to ensure that Sikoa kept the belt.

Ronda Rousey/Liv Morgan talking about their match at Extreme Rules.

Fatal 4-way for the #1 contender for the Tag Team Belts. The New Day/Brawling Bruits/Hit Row/Imperium. What a match. Next week its the Brawling Bruits facing the Usos for the Tag belts

NXT 2.0 1st Anniversary

The show opens with the Tag Team titles on the line in a steel cage match as the Creed Brothers face Pretty Deadly. It is getting pretty wild, to say the least, what one team doesn’t think of the other team. thanks to the (Damien Kempt) Diamond Mine, with one of the Creed Brothers taken out of the mix, Pretty Deadly retains the tag belts.

Wes Lee will be in the North American title match. Trick Williams/Carmelo Hayes have made sure that Lee doesn’t make the match.

Lash LaRue facing Fallon Henley. Henley made short work of Lash, knocking her out to get the win.

Mandy Rose is in the ring, cutting a promo with Toxic Challenge. Alba Fire changed the tone of things.

Quincy Elliott making his debut.

Cameron Grimes is going it alone. Joel Casey has come to the ring to help. If you blinked that last 5 minutes you would have missed the heart of the match.

Zoey Stark/Nakita Lyons in tag action.

Sikoa taking on Carmello for the North American title. Sikoa has done the impossible and beat Hayes for the Title.

RAW On September 12/13

Coming from Portland Oregon

Seth Rollins is opening the show. Talking about how he beat Matt Riddle. Matt comes out, to the ring, he is not finished with Seth at all. Judgement Day is out talking to Matt, about what is happening with him and Seth. Matt is in a match with Finn. In the seesaw battle, this match can go either way. Matt needs to take out Damien even if for a few to get the advantage. Rey Mysterio took care of Damien, and thanks to helping from Seth Finn steals the win.

Damage Control facing Aliyah/Raquel for the Tag Team titles. A rematch of the finals. Damage Control is good at cutting the ring off. Keeping Aliyah from Tagging Raquel. Thanks to Bailey interfering the titles have changed hands. (Bailey back playing the heel once again, she is good but her not competing in singles action on a regular basis has me wondering if she is 100% or if this is just storyline related?)

Chad Gable is in singles action against Johnny Gargano. These two are well-matched. Johnny with the win. Austin Theory is out once again to spoil things for Johnny.

Bianca Belair issued an open challenge, and Sonya Deville came out complaining that she should be the RAW Woman Champion if it wasn’t for every sticking their nose in.

Kevin Owens trying to get Austin Theory to take his head out of his arse and create his own moments. Not waiting to have it all handed to him. Kevin just slapped this snot out of Theory. They need to put these two in a steel cage and let them go. Kevin broke Austin’s nose. The match is made for next week

Edge out to take on Dom Mysterio who has become part of Judgement day, but It would be the number game in the end taking out edge once again. Edge could have taken out Dom but Rey got in the middle of it. It was a good match if everyone had stayed out of it but Oh well.

The Fallout from Worlds Collide

The NXT UK has been suspended indefinitely

Tyler Bate is in the ring, having a chat. Gallus has walked out trash-talking Tyler. Gallus lost also. Braun is out to join Tyler in a tag team match against Gallus.

Pretty Deadly having a brag, post-pay-per-view win.

Toxic Attraction in action against Nikki A.S.H/ Doudrop. It took a bit but Nikki/Doudrop the win.

Roxanne Perez with a match against Makio Satamora. Got to give Roxanne credit for holding her own.

NXT UK will become NXT Europe

Ricochet facing Trick Williams. Ricochet with the spanking that Williams so fully deserved

Nathan Frazier is in the ring to face off against Axiom (I know nothing about this guy)It’s a best of 3 series.

Tyler Bates/Braun Breaker facing Gallus.

Clash at the Castle

At the time of writing this, the live event has taken place. I am watching the replay.

**MATCH 1 — Bianca Belair/Alexa Bliss/Asuka facing Bailey/Dakota Kai/Io Sky in a 6-women tag team match. This match won’t end well, it’s going to get dirty. thanks to a braid hold by Bailey on Bianca, they stole the win. A triple-team win. I can see Bailey coming after Bianca for the title. Bailey is back to playing the heal.

**MATCH 2 — Fight Night. Sheamus in a match against Gunther for the Intercontentional Title. Sheamus has welts on his chest from Gunther taking it out on him. They both are leaving it all in the ring. Sheamus tried a Bro Kick but the back gave out. Gunther wins but it was a hell of a fight. It’s going to be hard to beat this for the match of the night. The Crowd is showing their appreciation to Sheamus for the match.

**MATCH 3 — Smackdown Women’s title is on the line when Liv Morgan Faces Shayna Bazler. This is going to be ugly, hoping Liv can hold her own. Shayna is going to end up breaking Liv’s arm to win the watch. Holy Crap, I have no clue how Liv pulled that off. The MMA training with riddle sure helped. It was a clean pin. It was good to see Shayna get challenged a bit.

***Extreme Rules — October 8 in Philadelphia

**MATCH 4 — Rey Mysterio/Edge facing The Judgement Day. Edge/Rey have tagged up in the past, winning tag belts. Boy, that was messy but with a little help from Dom, Edge/ Rey got the win but I see a heel turning coming. Dom racked Edge and clothes-lined his Dad. Watch this space. This story is just getting started.

62,296 in Attendance in Cardiff

**MATCH 5 — Matt Riddle once again facing Seth Rollins. This won’t end well. The ref has given this match some leeway but it has gotten very ugly, Just when I thought Matt had it won Seth pulls out something to save the match. (this is one storyline that needs to change, it’s boring and very old) The stomp needs to be outlawed, once and for all. Seth ran his mouth dragging in the divorce that Matt is going through, using his anger against him. This storyline is not over.

**MATCH 6 — Drew McIntyre facing Roman for the Belt. ( I am so over this storyline, Roman needs to be beaten and the sooner the better. Shows are getting boring with no main titles to be defended, The Bloodline story is old, and Roman has only stayed champion thanks to all the help he has gotten. It’s time for Roman to defend with everyone barred from ringside.)(OMG even in the presser Roman is still being a dick)At the start of the match, the crowd gets under Roman’s skin. You can see he is uncomfortable. Karron Cross ran his mouth to distract Drew. 734 days that have been too many, tell me one thing exciting about Roman’s title reign.

Thanks to the Usos’s younger Brother showing up, is how roman has managed to keep the belt. (Solo Sakoa)
