Royal Rumble 2021 34th Anniversary

It’s going to be an interesting day to see what till play out, hopefully, new storylines will be set going forward because of what has happened the last few weeks, I am scratching my head wondering what the heck. Look, I know its storylines and all but, for me, it’s a bit TOO negative right now. Here’s hoping a positive will appear out of today.

**Kick off Show

Charlotte/Asuka are putting the Women’s Tag Team title on the line against Nia Jax/Shayna Baszler. (love Asuka being cheeky, she seems to give Charlotte the giggles) Ric Flair/Lacey Evans — helped Nia Jax/Shayna steal the titles. (the bullies have the titles back once again) (this has set up a storyline between Lacey/Charlotte)

**Main Show

Opens with the title defense of Drew McIntyre facing Goldberg. I am not sure about this and why but I kind of see it as who else is going to face Drew right now. (I have not read of any set up for a storyline for Drew a this point) The boys have gone at each other before the bell even rang, Drew dragged himself back in the ring, telling the ref to ring the bell. Drew with the win, earning the respect of Bill, who came over and shook hands post match.

It’s Carmella facing Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women’s Title. Sasha needs to be focused, Carmella will try anything with help from Reginald. (Sasha has reworked her intro song) Reg got tossed by the Ref. Sasha was able to turn the tables, getting Carmella in the bank-statement forcing her to tap out. (Mella tends to let her frustrations get the better of her making a mistake which Sasha took advantage of for the win.

The Universe is hating that Roman won but it was a hell of a battle as it should of been. I really hope this storyline is not over, it has been the one that the Universe is sort of getting behind. (Rumors are they want Roman to hold the belt until Wrestlemania, no clue whats in store)

NXT — January27/28

I know I have been quiet on the WWE front of late, just not into the storylines they have going right now. (MY OPINION — I am in no way impressed, what is there to cheer about)

*Next round of the Dusty cup has MSK facing Maverick/Dane — this could go either way but with how well, MSK are working together, I have to give them the advantage. MSK with a heck of a win. Maverick/Kilian did all they could but it was just not quite enough.

*First round match in the ladies’ Dusty classic has Aliyah/Jessi Kamea facing Dakota Kai/Raquel Gonzalez. This team could be real trouble. (Raquel stands tall in the NXT right now, beating Rhea but, Rumor is that Rhea will make her WWE Debut at the Royal Rumble. (would love to see Raquel/Shayna in a match)Kai/Gonzalez move on to face Kacy/Kayden next week.

Timothy Rust with a better matched opponent this week. Tim really did a number on his opponent, who is going to have a sore body after this match.

*Dusty Cup for the guys sees the Grizzled Young Veterans facing Leon Ruff/Kushida. It was a battle but Grizzled Young Veterans, with the experience moving on. It is going to be hard to stop them but I would like to see a final between MSK/Grizzled

Santo’s Escobar stopped his match for tonight but next week he will defend the Cruiser Weight title or there will be hell to pay.

Toni Storm in the ring, cutting a promo. She is going after Io Shirai women’s title

Bronson Reed facing Swerve Scott in their rubber match of their series. Bronson suckered Swerve in, finishing him off for the win.

Kyle O’Riley putting differences aside to join Finn Balor taking on the current tag team champs, Oney Lorcan/Danny Burch in the main event. Kyle/Finn worked well together but now its Finn being targeted by Pete Dune, Lorcan/Burch. I think Finn might have some new mates for now.

NXT January 13/14

The rumors after last weeks show, that Rhea Ripley/Damien Priest are heading to Smackdown. Possible first appearance at Survivor Series.

Parings for the Men’s division of the Dusty Rhodes classic are getting named. There will also be a Women’s division this year. The Women’s tournement opens next week.

Shotzi Blackheart facing Candace LeRae. No love loss here. Once again Candance needed help for the win.

Finn Balor out cutting a promo, he did give prompts to Kyle O’Riley on another great match. Pete Dune out with the Tag Team Champs in tow. Finn attacked by the Tag Team champs, along with Dune. Rodderick/Adam out to even the score. Kyle is not cleared to be there. Looks like Undisputed Era might have Finn’s back at least for now.

Grizzled Young Veterans facing Ever Rise in the first round of the Dusty Classic. Grizzled Young Veterans are very focused, they are their sights set on winning.

Dexter Lumis facing Johnny Gargano. With help from Austin theory, Johnny got the win but Dexter/Kushida had the last laugh

Jake Atlas/Swerve Scott facing MSK(new kids on the block) An extreamly hard fought match, MSK getting the win, the other teams have been put on notice and had better watch out.

Xia Li on her way to the ring, (she has had a major repacking. I would not want to meet her in the ring or a dark alley.) If you blinked you missed the match, 2 strikes and it was over.

Breezango/Undisputed Era in a tag match when Pete Dune and the tag team champs out to do more damage to Kyle, Finn out to help it was just enough that it almost cost Roderick/Adam the match.

RAW for January 4/5

Its legends nights so I expect anything and after how it ended last week with Alexa/Randy and a match. I have no clue what to expect.

Vale Brodie Lee who played Luke Harper.

The show opens with The Miz/Morrison in the ring. (Miz with the case back as it was Morrison who cashed in the briefcase NOT the Miz)The New Day were in the ring for some silliness when Teddy Long arrived to make a tag team match. The New Day with the win.

Charley chatting to Randy Orton who will face Jeff Hardy later tonight.

Its Legends night on RAW and A.J has shown up for a match, facing Elias.

Charlotte on her way to the Women’s Rumble.

Matt Riddle chatting with The Big Show.

Asuka/Charlotte facing Payton Royce/Lacey Evans in a non title match.

Matt Riddle facing Bobby Lashley — Matt taking it to Bobby before the bell had even rung. That was bloody brilliant, the Ref NEVER saw that Matt had tapped out. In the midst of arguing, Matt pinned Bobby.

Cedric/Shelton facing Lucha House Party — call it a fluke but the House Party stole the win.

Drew McIntyre facing Keith Lee for the RAW Men’s title. Drew was about to say something about Keith Lee when Goldberg’s music started. Bill is in the ring.

Bill has issued a challenge to Drew for his Title at Royal Rumble

T.L.C

This is the one show of the year where anything can happen and most likely will. This is the final pay per view of the year

**Pre Show with Charley, Booker T, Jeff Jarrett, James

**PRE SHOW MATCH — Big E/Chad Gable/Otis/Daniel Bryan facing Samy Zayne/King Corbin/Cesaro/Shinsuke. It was impressive, I was happy to see Big E have the last laugh over Sami and steal the win. Of course Sami tried every and nothing worked.

RAW Tag Team Titles — The New Day facing The Hurt Business

RAW Men’s title will put the current title holder Drew McIntyre facing A.J Styles

Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens for the Smackdown Men’s Belt

Women’s Tag Team Belts — Shayna/Nia facing Asuka/Partner of her choosing.

Sasha Banks facing Carmella for the Women’s Smackdown title.

Randy Orton vs The Fend

**MAIN SHOW**

Drew McIntyre facing A.J Styles to kick things off for the RAW Men’s match. A.J came out fighting to go after Drew’s knee to stop him from a claymore kick. It’s been a seesaw battle ever since. A.J is out to injure Drew and make sure he stays done for good to steal the title. Here come’s the Miz trying to cash in, its not a triple threat. Miz just put through a table thanks to A.J’s buddy, now Morrison tried to use a chair and he broke it. I don’t think A.J or Drew has an idea about the Miz. (this will be crap is Drew loses the belt) After knocking out A.J and Miz, Drew climbed the ladder for the win.

Sasha Banks facing Carmella — Shut up Cory (you sleep with Carmella) The Universe is pulling for Sasha. It took a bit along with lots of trash talk but in the middle of the ring, Sasha made Carmella tap out.

RAW Tag Team titles up for grabs between The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin/Cedric) and The New Day. It wasn’t meant to be for the New Day to hold on for now. Shelton/Cedric were just too strong. Have to give M.V.P a little credit for not getting involved. If you blinked you missed something.

**The Road to Wrestlemania begins on January 31 with the Royal Rumble.

Nia/Shayna defending the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Asuka/Charlotte (I read this was a possibility) (Byron called them what they are — Bullies)(When is the WWE going to hold Shayna/Nia more accountable for the injuries they cause)Finally, maybe a little bit of peace Charlotte/Asuka with the win and new Tag Team Champions. More even battle now, thank goodness

The Universal title with Roman Reigns defending against Kevin Owens. It’s going to get ugly to say the least, I hope they let it go for a bit, but from what I have read, Roman will keep the belt. We all know that things can change with Vince. It’s been one hell of a battle, both are beaten up. The Universe has been booing from the start, cheering Kevin. (this story line is not going over well at all, I cant see how they want this to last until Wrestlemania next April. Oh Well there it goes another great match, just turned CRAP. I must admit that they let the match go and it was one hell of a match.

Randy Orton/The Fend — The only way to win is to set your opponent on fire. Randy has set The Fend on fire, Randy got his also with an RKO. Randy just torched Fend.

It will be interesting the fall out this week of events from today

Final Shows Before T.L.C

This piece is MY OPINION —

I feel like RAW and Smackdown has gotten a little flat of late. There is not any really storylines that have caught my attention.

I have read of late that Vince wanted Keith Lee to go back to NXT for some polish work on his in ring work. Keith is amazing, one of the big guys who move like a fly weight.

I was glad to see them end the feud with Bayley/Sasha. Carmella playing the heel as per usual. What has happened to the rest of the Women’s division — where is Naomi? Dana Brookes is a great wrestler, WHY is it taking so long for her to get a lead storyline? It good to see that Mandy Rose got the repackage she needed, but split her from Otis? (cute storyline).

Let’s talk about Lana. Give Lana a break already. She is doing her best to hold her own but with a bullies like Nia/Shayna how are you suppose to survive? I really wanted to see her/Asuka beat them at T.L.C but now with Lana’s injury.(looks like she is out for a month) I want Lana to get on a good run and experience winning a belt

Roman Reigns — Not a fan of the storyline. Rumor is he will hold the belt until at least Wrestlemania. Kevin Owens is turning Baby Face, I am hoping he gives Roman a damn good run for his money. Adding The Usos to everything, just another faction, like the Hurt Business.

The Miz/Morrison — spoiled brats who love to cheat to get a win no matter what.

Street Profits — they are as good as they think they are. Give them some good matches and let them go. Put them up against The New Day, it will a main event quality match.

Drew McIntyre — Glad he has got the belt back but A.J thinking he is so good that he will beat Drew. (A.J get a freakin hair cut) I did read this would be A.J’s final contract. Good, was never really a fan of his anyway.

Asuka with the RAW Women’s belt, lets find her some good opponents. (Becky just had the baby, I can’t wait for her to return or Charlotte)

Women’s Tag Titles — Nia Jax/Shayna Baszler — Just a couple of bullies, allowed to hurt anyone they please with no repercussions.

SHUT UP CORY –enough said

NXT — December 16/17

There is a new special (3 weeks from tonight) coming in January just after the new year.

The show is opening with a tag team match with Leon Ruff/Kushida, Facing Johnny Gargano/Austin Theory. (Indi Hartwell/Candace at ringside) It was a good match but Ruff missed the tag that brought in Theory for the win.

Shotzi Blackheart facing Indi Hartwell. Indi with a DQ but it turned out to be a 4 on 1 beat down post match.

Tyler Rust in the ring, here comes Tomaso Ciampa. It was a battle, not see anyone take it to Ciampa like that in ages. Ciampa with the win.

Dexter Lumis doing a drawing of the NXY – New Year’s Evil. He is hosting the show.

Kyle O’Riley meeting Pete Dunne for the right to face Finn Balor at New year’s Evil. Tag Teams going at it everywhere. Kyle and Pete are going toe to toe. This has been a quality match worthy of a main event PPV. IN the end, it was Kyle who got the win, it was one hell of a match. They are both going to feel it tomorrow.

Bronson Reed returns next week

Karrion Kross/Scarlett — returned for his first match in 3 months. Karrion going after Damien Priest at New Year’s Evil

Rhea Ripley facing Toni Storm — Thanks to Raquel, siding with Toni she steals the win from Rhea.

The fallout from War Games on NXT

Recap of the events of War Games this past Sunday.

Finn Balor in the ring having a chat when Pete Dunn showed up, but then Kyle O Riley (who had one hell of a match with Finn), Damien Priest decided he needed to show up in this mess. Finn has walked away letting them sort it out. January 6th, NXT next Pay Per View. I told you during the PPV that Karrion Kross had returned.

Killen Dane just attacked Pete Dunn as he was trying to leave.

Jake Atlas in the ring waiting on Isiah “Swerve “Scott. A very even match, Swerve had the match in his control for most of the match but it was Jake who managed to sneak in with the win. (Jake offered a hand in respect BUT Isiah walked away)

Tommaso Ciampa in a promo talking to Cameron Grimes.

Triple threat tag team match — Ever-rise, Grizzled Young Veterans, Imperium. (Must be one member from each team in the ring. ) What a dog fight of a match but the Grizzled Young Veterans got the well deserved win.

Toni Storm running off at the mouth about how the only thing she wants is the NXT Women’s title. Toni tried to run but Ember Moon with an attack from behind. Toni left laying in the middle of the ring.

Ciampa in the ring with Grimes and Timothy Thatcher sitting at ringside. Ciampa keeps kicking out and Grimes is getting frustrated. Ciampa gets the win. Grimes screaming at Thatcher grabbing Grimes ankle and snapping it.

Johnny Gargano on his way to the ring with Candice, Indi Hartwell and Austin Theory (it was Austin Theory behind the mask) in tow

Pete Dunn facing Killian Dane — You can tell Dunn is NOT 100%. Thanks to a little help from the Tag Team champs, Dane steals the win. Maverick out to help but it wasn’t enough.

Ember Moon facing Raquel Gonzales — It was a hell of a fight, Ember took it to her but Ember was just not strong enough in the end. Raquel with the win. Toni tried to go after Ember but Rhea’s music started.

Raw for Monday/Tuesday, December 7/8

Vale Pat Patterson

**TABLES LADDERS AND CHAIRS is one week from Sunday

Randy Orton on his way to the ring. Recap of Randy on with Alexa. Randy heading to the FunHouse.

Asuka(Lana in Asuka’s corner) in a singles match against Shayna Baszler(Nia in Shayna’s corner).Asuka pinned Shayna because she was NOT paying attention. Lana managed to get Nia down long enough to help Asuka surprise Shayna for the win.

Ricochet/Dana — facing Retribution in a mix tag match. Slapjack/Reckoning. Dana pins Reckoning for the second time.

**Congrats to Seth and Becky on the birth of their Daughter Roux.

Miz T.V/Morrison with A.J Styles. Sheamus out and Drew has joined him.

Kofi Kingston facing Shelton Benjamin — who Kofi does beat, but then Kofi gets beat by Cedric.

Sheamus/Drew facing Miz/Morrison/A.J in a 3 on 2 handicapped. The Numbers game paid off and it did in this case with A.J stealing the win.

Bobby Lashley facing Jeff Hardy.

Randy in the ring to face Bray wyatt. The lights went out and the Fend appeared having Randy in the Mandible Claw.
