NXT Great American Bash, night 1

The Great American Bash is returning to NXT, should be interesting to see what takes place. Dusty Roads created the event with this being the first time in NXT. This is night one of two.

Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Mia Yim, Candice LeRae facing off in a fatal 4 way elimination. Pinfall or submission are the only ways to be eliminated. Last women standing wins a title shot at Io Shairi. Candice taken out by Mia Yim,Mia was pinned by Dakota. It’s down to Dakota and Tegan. Tegan is taking it to Dakota, finally, after all the things that Dakota has done to her. Tegan Nox finally get some justice over Dakota Ki beating the snot out of her, pinning her for the win.

Timothy Thatcher in the ring to face Oney Lorcan. It’s been a technical on the mat kind of match. Thatcher wins by forcing Oney to submit. Won’t surprise me if Oney has sme arm damage after that.

Time for my girl Rhea Ripley who is from Adelaide, my home city hers in Australia. She is in a 2 on 1 match against Aliyah/Robert Stone. IF Aliyah/Robert win, Rhea will sign with him. (LOL — even Rhea is laughing) right now the handicap rules favoring Aliyah/Robert. Rhea just dropped Aliyah on Roberts family jewels. Rhea got both Robert/Aliyah to tap out.

Roderick Strong vs Dexter Lumis in a strap match. (first one in NXT) Bobby Fish is out trying to help Strong. It’s been an unusual match. Some unique ways of using the strap. Strong is forced to tap out. The kids were screaming at one point “Deter likes it” as Roderick was beating Dexter with the strap.

**(Adam Cole vs Keith Lee in a winner takes all match will be the main event in Part TWO of The Great American Bash) **

Escobar out with the cruiserweight belt, Drake Maverick showed up to try to hold his own, but the goons with Escobar went after Drake once again. Breezango went after the goons and has issued a challenge for Bash part 2, not sure if its 4 or 6 man tag. It will be a 6 man tag team, next week.

Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae in a street fight, next week.

Io Shirai vs Sasha Banks it was a great match until as per usual, Bayley stuck her nose in being a bully, cheating. Sasha tried to pull the other title in to use in on Io but Asuka has showed up to make it a fair fight. (it’s getting to predictable when either Bayley or Sasha are in a single match, you know whats going to happen)

RAW June 29/30

Should be an interesting day with contract signings.

Hubby and I have been watching a lot of the WWE Network of late. Past years of the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series have been favorites. I keep it to more recent years as Phil would note more of the wrestlers.

Extreme Rules :The Horror Show.

OK, the show just came with total chaos. Samoa Joe is in the ring hosting the contract signing. Bayley/Sasha have gone after Asuka. Dolph Ziggler (dolph saying he is responsible for this success) (we say drew in some earlier PPV’s, it was kinda weird with back then he was smaller/babyface but now he has bulked up and with the beard, looks so much better) Dolph is all talk as per usual.

Asuka signed the contract, Sasha saying that she is the standard. Sasha saying that when she wins, she and Bayley take over the all of the Woman’s Division.

The Viking Raiders facing Andrade/Angel Garza in a tag team match. This started last week after the match between Street Profits/Viking Raiders. Geesh, Andrade/Angel did everything as dirty as possible to get the win.

Recap of Nattie/Lana against Liv match. Backstage Liv was approached by Ruby, Liv told Ruby to get lost. Ruby was approach by the Iconics, She challenged one of them to a single match but I can see this turning into a 2 on 1. Wonder if LIv will come to Ruby’s rescue.

Iraka Towaza with the 24/7 title facing R-Truth. If you blink you miss him getting the win.

Reap of M.V.P trying to recruit Apollo Crews. Apollo told him thanks but no thanks. M.V.P will face Apollo Crews later tonight.

Here comes Seth, please, really as he enters to a chorus of booing. The preview says he is going to ask for forgiveness. (recap of what happened last week with Rey and Dom) The crowd is really giving it to Seth as he deserves. Seth is begging Rey for his forgiveness. Saying that what Seth must do in the future. Aleister Black/Humberto came to the ring and watch Seth/Murphy run. An impromptu match have broken out.

RAW is showing the Smackdown tribute to The Undertake, who has his final match against A.J at this past Wrestlemania. It still gets me tears. 30 years of my life watching him. So many great moments. (Watch the 5 part series on WWE Network, it is the best show that the WWE has put together.

With that attack on Charlotte by Nia Jax, Charlotte has a fractured collarbone. (news through an update on Charlotte’s match with Asuka last week.

Ruby Riott in a match with Peyton Royce. It was more a 2 on 1 match with Billie Kay outside, Peyton with the win

Big Show in a 2 on 1 with Angel Garza/Andrade. (won’t surprise me to see Randy turn up, Ric Flair is doing Randy’s light work) Angel/Andrade still can’t work together. Those chest slaps that the Big Show does makes my chest hurt.

Ricochet,Apollo and Cedric chatting as R-Truth shows up after running from the Ninja’s.

Apollo in a match against M.V.P next. Bobby Lashley is outside the ring. It’s turned into a 2 on 1 match. Bobby is incensed, Ricochet/Cedric to Apollo’s rescue, forcing Bobby to break the full nelson. M.V.P got the win with help from Bobby. It didn’t end well for Ricochet/Cedric with Bobby being way to strong.

Drew McIntyre/Asuka in a match against Dolph/Sasha Banks. Bayley at ringside(she is playing the heel well ut I am so over her already) Somehow in all of the chaos, Sasha/dolph managed to pull out the win.

**SMACKDOWN**

It was a tribute how to the retiring Undertaker. Interviews with WWE superstars, John Cena, Roman, Edge, Kane, ric Flair.

They showed most of the match from Wrestlemania this past April between Taker and A.J.

KIng Corbin in the ring running off his mouth about how it was overdue time that he retired. Jeff Hardy in the ring shutting up Corbin. Jeff Hardy issued a challenge to Corbin, Undertake has helped everyone for the past 30 years, tonight Jeff wants to say thanks to Undertaker.

Braun Strowman challenging Bray Wyatt to go back to the swamp where things started to put an end to their rivalry. the Smackdown locker room have surround the ring in support of Jeff. Needless to say Jeff gets the well deserved win. Corbin went after jeff but Big E came to his rescue, Big E called, Braun in the ring, followed by Matt Riddle.

NXT June 24/25

Cameron Grimes is out to the ring, suppose to face Damien Priest but Damien was attacked roughly an hour before showtime. (Grimes running his mouth) You knew that Grimes would win this, I can almost bet that it was Grimes that went after Priest in the parking lot.

Recap of the Santos Escobar/Drake Maverick situation. Jake Atlas going into battle with Santos. Jake is holding his own but I am not sure for how long. Santos has his henchmen on the outside of the ring. Jake gave it one hell of a fight but it was not Jake’s day.

Time for action from the Women’s division with Kacy Catanzaro on her way to the ring to to team up with Kayden Carter.(need to see the angry side) Facing off against Dakota Kai/Raquel Gonzalez. Casey/Kayden held their own but it was not their day.

OK, its going to get weird, Karron Kross with Scarlett on the way to the ring. Bronson Reed. This could get ugly. Bronson gave it a good go but it was Karron with the win. Bronson was forced to tap out.

Rhea Ripley on her way to the ring to face Aliyah (Robert Stone in tow) Even with Stone trying to help Aliyah by throwing his show in the ring didn’t stop Aliyah from suffering the rip tide giving the win to Rhea.

Dexter Lumis (just plain creepy) facing Roderick Strong. Strong did a runner giving Lumis the win by count out.

The Main Event — Johnny Gargano,Finn Balor, Keith Lee in a triple threat match for the North American Belt. The winner of this match will face Adam Cole for a winner takes all in two weeks. This is going to be an interesting match, will Johnny/Finn team up to take out Keith, so they can fight it out themselves? OMG, Keith Lee weights in at 340 pounds, who wrestles like a cruiserweight. It was a battle but Keith Lee comes out on top to keep the North American title/facing Adam Cole for a winner takes all.

RAW June 22/23

It’s Championship night as many of the titles will be on the line.

Tom, Byron and Samoa Joe at the Announcers Desk.

Drew is in the ring, welcoming everyone as Dolph’s music starts. A.J Styles is on Smackdown/in the trade RAW gets Dolph/Robert Roode. (this will make the Mandy Rose/Sonya DeVille story interesting) (here comes the Dolph because of “ME” storyline again) Drew just called Dolph a jackass. Drew is a fighting champion

**Extreme Rules coming in 3 weeks. Dolph saying he is owed a title shot. (This match is now official)

Nia Jax on the way to the ring. She is not scheduled tonight but anything could happen after last week. Nia got a chair/sitting in the middle of the ring. Charlotte came out and all hell broke loose.

Street Profits/Viking Raiders cutting a promo for their match tonight. That was amazing, somehow the Street Profits still managed to get the win. Raiders showing respect but Garza/andrade came out to spoil the party, The raiders returned to help out.

Charlotte getting taped up/the match will still go ahead.

Andrade/Angel Garza are going after the Tag Team titles.

Asuka on her way to the ring to meet Charlotte for the women’s belt. I would look for Nia to get involved, this can’t go as easy as Charlotte would like. Charlotte has beaten Asuka in the past. WOW, Charlotte had to tap out. That minor injury to her shoulder I think played a part in it. Nia jsut hit Charlotte again, going after the arm that was hurt earlier.

The show is doing a recap of the Randy Orton/Edge/Christian events of the past few weeks. I know its a storyline but its become a little much. Edge is hurt, no clue on Christian. Edge is gunning for Randy, who will stop at nothing to destroy Randy at all cost.

Akira Tozawa is now the 24/7 title holder thanks to Bobby Lashley. Because of the match last week when Bobby/M.V.P faced Truth/Drew

Liv Morgan facing off against Natalya(looks like she is heading for a heel role,Lana just walked out with Lana) Thanks to Lana, with a diversion, Natalya is able to get the win, forcing Liv to tap out.

Ric Flair is in the ring to announce that Randy Orton is the official legend killer. Big Show has just walked/ boy is he ticked off. Randy is now going after The Big Show.

Sasha/Bayley on the way to the ring to defend the belts against The Iconics. Two teams that can play dirty. (you can see cracks starting to develop between Sasha/Bayley. It’s time for them to be split and see a good match like they had in NXT) That sucked big time, as Sasha/Bayley won once again. Sasha just told Bayley she wants a title match with Asuka. Asuka accepts, now being assaulted by both of them.

Bobby Lashley/M.V.P running off at the mouth. They are going after Apollo Crews. Apollo got blindsided by Shelton Benjamin. Crews wins the rematch with no issues. Bobby out and hit Apollo with a full Nelson to lay him out. (bobby/mvp are the bullies)

Rey Mystero/Dominik in the ring. They have called out Seth. Here comes, Murphy/Austin Theory. Humberto Carrillo with Aleister Black taking apart Seth, Murphy/Theory. Seth trying to hurt Dom, but here comes Carrillo/Black with chairs.

Smackdown June 19/20

Renee in the ring talking to A.J. who won the Intercontinental title. A.J goated Daniel Bryan into the ring to put the belt around his waist and congratulate him. Matt Riddle just walked out.

A.J Styles facing Matt Riddle but he refused to put the title on the line. OMG, what a freakin match, Matt Riddle just picked off A.J Styles. A.J was more concerned with Daniel Bryan at ringside, Matt recovered to pin A.J.

Jeff Hardy having a chat with Renee about things that have happened of late.

Shorty G facing Mojo Rawley. I have no clue how Shorty pulled out that win but he did.

Miz T.V hosting Mandy Rose. This could be interesting. My question is, where is Sonya Deville and how soon before she turns up. (I told you)Sonya still refuses to give up, tell Mandy that its all her fault. (Sonya so tired of standing in Mandy’s shadow.) Sonya and Mandy Rose going at it. Miz running interference, it was a dick move bringing out Sonya Deville. Mandy Rose gave Miz one hell of a slap across the face.

Sasha/Bayley on Smackdown. Not sure why they are out there.

They New Day on their way to the ring for a match with Lucha House Party. Cesaro/Shinsuke watching the match from a monitor in the back. New Day with the win but Cesaro/Shinsuke in the ring, they are tired of being ignored in the tag team division.

Kayla in a chat with Sheamus.

Nikki and Sasha in an impromptu match. Thanks to Bayley. Sasha with the win, no help from Bayley.

Next week, A.J must defend the Intercontinental Belt against Drew Gulak/ who no doubt will have Daniel Bryan in his corner.

Bray Wyatt (instead of the firefly house Bray ash returned) on now, not sure what to make of it. Still trying to go after Braun, not sure what kind of a twist this is going to create.

NXT June 17/18

Much to my surprise I found NXT live on the same channels as I cover RAW and Smackdown.

Recap of last weeks show.

The NXT Performance Center kids in attendance to cheer their mates on. (I call them kids cause they are young enough to be my kids

NXT Tag Team Belts. Aichner/Barthel (Imperium) Facing Breezango. To be honest I can see Breezango pulling this off but stranger things have happened. What a mess. other teams out and causing chaos with Imperium holding on.

Damien Priest facing Killian Dain, This should be interesting, as they are both nasty, making you pay for making just one mistake. Killian with the very rare mistake giving Damien the win. Cameron Grimes slit 2 of Damien’s car tires. They will meet in a match next week.

Xia Li in the ring, Aaliyah. They have been going at it, Tooth and nail since Xia broke Aaliyah’s nose. With the distraction, Aaliyah with the win.

Adam Cole in an interview, Scarlett left an hourglass for Cole, his time is running out. Keith Lee, giving Adam a warning that he will be coming after him for the NXT Title.

In the middle of a sentence, Adam Cole was interrupted by Keith Lee, NOw JOhnny Gargano has showed his ugly mug in all of this. OK, Kids let’s also add Finn to all of this. Finn has told Keith that he is coming for his North American title and then he is going after Adam Cole’s title. William Regal has turned up , Keith will defend the North American Title against Johnny /Finn in a triple threat match. The winner of the triple threat facing Adam for BOTH titles.

Kayden Carter/Casey verses Dakota Kai/Raquel Gonzalez — We know how this will end as usual. Raquel will stick her nose in to the mess and make sure Dakota wins.

Bronson Reed (another aussie) facing Leon Ruff (giving up 200 pound) Called out Karrion Kross for next week. That match has been made.

Santos Escobar who holds the Cruiserweight title. Derrick Maverick got the snot beat out of him once again. (Jake Atlas with Derrick for support)

Tegan Kox/Shotzi Blackheart facing Bayley/Sasha for the Women’s Tag Team Belts. It’s been wild to say the least. Tegan/Shotzi are holding their own. It’s the first time the titles have visited NXT, its been a whopper of a match. Typical, just on the verge of getting beat and they play dirty as usual.

Fallout from Backlash

Anything is possible today with the fallout from the PPV. Nothing major happened but still, looking at step up for Extreme Rules in July.

Byron/Tom/Samoa Joe at the announcers Desk

Randy is on his way to the ring BUT, my question is where is Edge. I can see this heading to Extreme Rules which I hope it does. they just told that Edge has a torn tricep which is needing surgery. Randy bragging about last night which is nothing new. Christian just walked out. (Christian just called Randy a son of a bitch) Orton just challenged Christian for an unsanctioned match. Christian is NOT cleared to compete.

Charley talking to Angel Garza/Zelina. Garza tried to distract the ref his Andrade’s match with Apollo. Kevin took out Angel to make sure that Apollo kept the belt. Kevin Owens in a match with Angel Garza, Andrade just walked out. Angel/Andrade got into it, Zelna just walked out. With some help from Andrade, Kevin with the win. Zelina has returned to the ring. You can see that things are rocky but not completely sure if there is a change on the way or what.

Bobby Lashley/M.V.P in the ring. This should be full of crap. Doing nothing but complaining, that Bobby had his night ruined because of Lana and Drew took advantage of it. (OMG really, Bobby would of done the same thing) Bobby wants a divorce. (finally splitting up Bobby/Lana)

The Street Profits/Viking Raiders have been hysterical together. (Akira Tozawa with ninja) 8 man tag team, Street Profits with Akira and 3 Ninjas (1 really big Ninjat at ringside) The boys worked together for the win. Profits/Raiders called on the Big Show to face the Big Ninja. Big Show having a giggle after clearing the ring. Big Show with the suggestion of a title match next week.

Seth on his way to the ring. Dominic Mystero has accepted Seth’s invitation to come to Raw.(heard that Rey came back to help Dom get established in WWE) Seth said that Dom can stand with him or be a saracfice. Love it, it was a massive hit and run. Seth is freakin livid, love it. The kids are cheering Dom on. (Murphy/Theory tried to get ahold of Dem but he got out before they could get him.

Liv Morgan/Natalya facing The Iconics. Thanks to Payton, they get the win, getting rid of Natalya, keeping the ref’s attention so Liv couldn’t get the win.

Drew/R Truth facing M.V.P/Bobby Lashley — Drew’s title on the line. It was a bit of a battle but Drew/R Truth came out with the win. It got kinda ugly and a little worrying but Drew had M.V.P dead to right, give Truth the pleasure of the win.

Bayley/Sasha visiting RAW and have accepted the Iconics challenge. It was supposedly Bayley’s birthday and it was Sasha who got slapped.

Nia Jax/Asuka in a rematch from last night. Nia put her hands on the Ref as he was about to disqualify her, Asuka with the help of a fast count, stole the win. Nia, had most of the match in hand until frustrations got the better of her.

Randy Orton facing Christian in a non- sanctioned match. (randy has gotten way too full of himself and needs taken down) Ric Flair hit Christian with a low blow/Randy knocked him out. Randy kept screaming that it was his fault that he had to do what he did.

The Tag Teams belts up for grabs next week between The Street Profits and the Viking Raiders.

The Iconics will face off against Bayley/Sasha next week on RAW. Bayley/Sasha will head to NXT on Wednesday to defend the title against, Tegan Kox/Shotzi Blackheart.

Backlash 2020

With help from Kevin Owens, Apollo Crews was able to hold onto the United States Title. Zelina was trying the same thing with Angel Garza trying to get the Ref’s attention.

The triple threat Women’s Tag team belts are on line. One member from each team in the ring to start. You can ONLY tag in your own team. (I am hoping that this is the start of the fall of Bayley/Sasha, it’s time. Im want to see some good Boss ass kicking, starting with Bayley) Sash/Bayley remain tag holders. . . For Now

Jeff Hardy facing Sheamus (In my book, this story line has gone too far. Sure Jeff has admitted to having a battle with drugs/alcohol) Anything can happen tonight and this will get nasty I think. Jeff took a hell of a beating but it was sheamus in the end, Jeff just couldn’t hold on.

Asuka keeps her Women’s title belt, It was a one sided battle with Nia doing most the damage. A double count out gave Asuka back the title. (hoping that a battle with Charlotte is in the future)It was a decent match but it was so lopsided.

The Miz/Morrison facing Braun Strowman for the Universal title. It was a good battle with Braun too strong for Miz/Morrison. They thought they had it won but Braun had other things. (Worse match of the night for me)

Drew McIntyre facing Bobby Lashley for the RAW Men’s title. Bobby Attacked Drew before the bell even rang,(hitting Drew with a full Nelson still had no affect) Drew still has not had time to even get his jacket off. This is the biggest battle that Drew has had. Drew getting some momentum build. Thanks to Lana, Drew hangs on to the belt.

Some fun and giggle with the Street Profits/Viking Raiders before their match for he RAW Tag Titles. (Not taking place tonight after all)

**EXTREME RULES on July 19th**

A recording of The Fink introducing Edge/Randy Orton. They are giving it everything. (its been great to hear noise today even if its just the kids from the performance center). They have both had their turn beating the snot out of each other. This is the match of the night right now. I can’t even tell you how fast my heart is beating out of my chest right now. This is one hell of a match, I have no clue how these two are still going at it. I can’t even put into word right now how amazing this match is. That is twice that Edge has kicked out of the RKO. Randy steals the win, He’s in Edge’s ear telling him to just go home. Go away Randy, you dont care about Edge.

Overall it was a good Pay Per View. I can see some of these storylines, heading to Extreme Rules to settle them once and for all. I can’t see the Randy/Edge story ending anytime soon. Set up for Asuka/Charlotte. Not sure how things will play out between Bobby/Lana/M.V.P. (I heard that they were splitting up Bobby/Lana)

Smackdown June 12/13

The final show before Backlash on Sunday

The show opening with a recap of the Jeff Hardy situation. (story line in part to help Elias, who is out with a torn pec muscle) (Jeff’s issues with drinking is a real life issue, I am surprised that Jeff has agreeded to this storyline BUt, if it helps even one person)(this storyline has gone way too far, in my book)

Renee in the ring hosting a contract signing between Jeff Hardy/Sheamus. Jeff had to take a supposed test for alcohol/drugs in his system or the match didn’t go ahead. Jeff passed needless to say. They will meet at Backlash on Sunday

The New Day facing Cesaro/Shinsuke. Cescaro/Shinsuke stole a win.

Background on the Intercontinental Title. As Daniel Bryan/A.J Styles go to war. No one has really made a mistake of yet to give the other an opening. It’s been even. Daniel with a deep knowledge of submission holds. Daniel had picked apart A.J but Daniel made a mistake and Daniel crashed. It’s been a really good match, they are letting them go, no funny business or anything. Daniel/A.J are giving it everything they have, you can see that they are both starting to really tire. A.J with the win but it was one hell of a fight. The boys are exhausted, neither has moved.

Sasha/Bayley in the ring trying to celebrate the Tag Title Win. They will be in a triple threat match at Backlash against The Iconics, joining them also will be Nikki Cross/Alexa Bliss. (I really wish they would split these two up, I so want to see a classic Bayley/Sasha battle like they had in NXT) Nikke/Alexa have crashed the party. The Iconics are on the screen.

Braun Strowman with Heavy Machinery facing off against The Miz/Morrison and Dolph Ziggler. It was messy but Braun/Otis/Tucker with the win.

RAW on June 8/9

Backlash is next Sunday, with Charlotte losing the belt yesterday at the NXT event, things should get more interesting now.

Something happened with Drew McIntyre/Bobby Lashley after RAW went off from what I am hearing. Bobby Lashley will be in the M.V.P lounge, will we see Drew.

Edge/Christian with an episonde of the Peep Show.

Asuka in a match with Charlotte. This should be good. Sunday Asuka will meet Nia Jax. Bayley/Sasha just walked out, no clue why in the hell they are even there. (OMG, Bayley/Sasha really need to get taken down a few pegs) Thank God, Charlotte just walked out to shut up, Bayley/Sasha. Here come the Iconics. (Women’s Tag triple threat match, The Iconics, Bayley/Sasha, Nikki Cross/Alexa Bliss) Charlotte/Asuka cleared the ring. Charlotte/Asuka still to have a match later. (Asuka has never beaten Charlotte)

Rey Mysterio on giving an update on his injury. Seth is at the table talking to Rey but I have it muted. (this storyline in my book is a bust and they need to end it) Seth was in mid sentence when Aleister Black showed up. Humberto Carrillo/Aleister Black in a tag team against Austin Theory/Murphy — Carrillo/Black with the win. An ambush thanks to Seth.

Randy chatting to Charlie, I have a feeling that Randy is going to cause some issues. Edge/Christian having a chat in the ring about Edge match on Sunday at Backlash. Randy on a screen in the background. Randy is vowing to break Edge and send him home where he belongs. Christian helped Edge dig deep to find that place that he needs to beat Randy

Apollo Crews out to the ring. Andrade/Angel Garza/Kevin Owens in a triple threat for the right to face Apollo at Backlash for a chance at the United States Title. Its good to see Andrade/Angel going at it. Zelina is in the back after getting hit. Andrade pins Angel for the right to go to Backlash on Sunday.

Viking Raiders in a tag match against M.V.P/Bobby Lashley. Drew is around. M.V.P running off at the mouth that Bobby will put Drew in a full Nelson. Its The Viking Raiders facing M.V.P/Lashley in tag team with Lana/Drew and the Street Profits all watching on. It all fell apart.

Asuka/Charlotte finally in their match. Bayley/Sasha at ringside. Charlotte is nasty, after losing on NXT yesterday. Sasha/Bayley were banned from ringside during the commercial. This is becoming a classic match, the push each other to be even better. Wish help from Nia, Charlotte gets the win. What shape will Asuka be in on Sunday after the match with Charlotte and a Samoa Drop from Nia post match?
