Finn Balor in battle with Timothy Thatcher. This is all-out war. Thatcher has the strength but Finn is holding his own. Going hold for hold with Timothy. It was Finn’s determination that got him through this for the win. It was tough, Finn was beaten up but he held his own. Always been a fan of Finn’s but with the nasty streak, Finn is even more dangerous.
North American Title match – Who will climb the ladder: Damian Priest/Johnny Gargano/Bronson Reed( hometown boy)/Cameron Grimes/Velveteen Dream. This one can go any way, its a ladder match, with anything being possible. I have to go with the hometown boy, Bronson who is from Adelaide but am looking to Damian to take the gold. There are bodies lying everywhere. And, Yes Candice out to help her man but its all legal. Bronson just took out Candice/Johnny in one move from on top the ladder. That was a hell of a match, I could not pick a winner but it was Damian who was the last man sitting on top of the ladder holding the North American Title.
Adam Cole facing Pat McAfee in a match. Should be interesting, I would think that Adam would shut him up but anything is possible in NXT. This is one match I don’t care which way it goes, not a fan of either of them. Holy Crap kids, Pat is holding his own with Adam, this has turned into a pretty good match. Pat kicked the steps trying to hit Adam with a drive-by. Adam trying to get Pat to submit but Pat got to the ropes. Adam Cole with the win but it was a hell of a match, Pat was a surprise as well as he held his own.
Io Shirai defending the NXT Women’s title against Dakota Kai. If and I say IF Dakota wins this it will be with help from Raquel. Dakota can’t win anything on her own. Io holding her own but Dakota will make her earn this win. After the ref getting knocked silly, Raquel tried to get Dakota the win but Io kicked out. That flight took out Raquel which it’s about time. It was a hell of a fight, I was happy to see that Raquel did not really interfere. With a cheap shot from Raquel, who was going after Io after the match, out can Rhea Ripley.
Main Event — Karron Kross facing Keith Lee. This will get nasty, its going to be an evil, nasty match. Keith has actually rocked Karron. It great to see Kross on the end of getting rocked. Full Sail is in full rock mode doing all they can to help Keith hold on to the belt. (SHUT UP CORY)I really don’t know what to say. They have put the belt on Karron Kross. I have no clue, why at this point, creating a rivalry or maybe Keith needs some to time rest some injuries. The belts not going anywhere for awhile.
In pre show news, there was a triple threat match for the #1 contender for the tag team belts between, Breezango/Oney Lorcan his teammate Danny Burch/Legado del Fantasma for the right to face Marcel Barthel/Fabian Aichner.
**Post Show – I was not impressed how the show ended with Keith losing the belt. NOt sure where this is going. Hope to see a rematch/that Keith can take it to Kross.
It’s hard to pick a match of the day, it’s between the North American title match and the Women’s title match between Io Shirai and Dakota Kai. I had a feeling with Raquel at ringside that she would try something but I was glad it didn’t work out. It was a hard-fought win but In never saw Rhea Ripley who came out to help her.
The North American title match was everything and more, ladders flying, Johnny/Candice doing all they could and it was legal. Even seeing Candice on Bronson’s back as he flew off the ladder was great, taking Johnny out. Damien will be a great title holder, a bit of a heel in my book but the right man won.
