Going to be interesting to see what happens with Finn taking the lead in NXT. (It’s been great to see this missing intensity in him. I did read that we won’t see the demon for a while and that’s OK)
Recap of last week’s show, I loved the main event when Rhea beat Mercedes, it was a needed match for both of them.
Shotzi Blackheart in the ring facing off against Io Shirai in a non-title match. This will be good to see how well, shotiz can keep up. They are really giving it to each other, it’s a good challenge that Io needed to have. This match is turning into the main event match it should have been today. That was a nasty move, Io with a German suplex on the apron. Io with the win but it could have gone either way. Shotzi/Io showing each other respect after that match.
Next week there will be a Battle Royal for the #1 spot to face Io Shirai at the next takeover. It’s an over the top match.
Tommaso Ciampa in the ring/boy has he just gone evil. I can’t fault that he is good at what he does. Troy Brooks is his opponent but the match didn’t last long. Troy had no answers. Jake Atlas out but in a safe area, telling Champa he is coming for him.
Austin Theory with a open challenge taht Kushida. There is a new side of intensity to Kushida, he forced Austin to tap out but was still holding on after the match was over.
Breezango who are the tag team champions in the ring against Imperium who are not waiting for the belt to ring, they are going for it. Imperium are pissed they got beat, calling Breezango a joke. Another match that has been amazing from the start. It was ugly from the start but Breezango held their own with Imperium laying in the ring as the Breezango walked away with the belts still in their possession.
Ladies tag action with Jessica Kamea/Xia Li meeting Kacy Catanzaro/Kayden Carter. I would love to see both these teams develop into tag teams with a chance to eventually challenge for the Women’s Tag Belts.
Undisputed Era is suppose to face Drake Maverick/Killian Dain but who knows. Drake going to give it a go but its going to be ugly. Maverick is doing all he can, Dain sitting in back watch the match, just laughing. Mr. Regal just told Dain to get to the ring. Undisputed Era just ran off at the mouth, poking the bear and Dain has gone to work. OMG, the got the win, Maverick saved Dain from a chair shot but its still not gotten through.
Mr. Regal just announced the #1 contenders match for The Men’s belt currently held by Finn. Mr. Regal is calling it the Gauntlet Eliminator: 2 men will start in the ring, Every 4 minutes another competitor will enter, only way to be eliminated is by pinfall or submission, LAST MAN standing will head to NXT Takeover on October 4
The North American title on the line when Damian Priest facing Timothy Thatcher. They are both dangerous men, anything can happen and probably will. Did you hear that clothesline hit by Damian. It was one hell of a fight but Damien holds on for the win. I must admit that Damian is growing on me, have respect for his ability.
