Things were interesting for RAW this week, I had no expectations watching Royal rumble on Monday, to see what would happen, watching for story lines to continue.
This entry is my take on what happened
Drew McIntyre opens the show. Edge joined Drew in the ring, for a chat. Sheamus joined the chat. Sheamus with a bro kick on Drew for no reason. Sheamus wants the WWE belt.
Matt Riddle on the way to the ring, facing Bobby Lashley for the United States Belt. Bobby got himself disqualified, still not leaving Riddle alone. It’s over, the is no reason for all of this, Bobby has snapped.
Recap of the Women’s Tag Team title match in which the titles were stolen, thanks to help from Ric Flair/Lacey Evans. Shayna/Nia have the titles as of that assisted win at Royal Rumble.
Xavier Woods on his way to the ring with Kofi Kingston(Kofi not medically cleared), facing Mustafa. With a little help from Kofi, Xavier steals a well deserved win.
The Miz and John Morrison — Bad Bunny On. Bunny performed his song Booker T on Royal Rumble. Damian Priest out, backing up Bunny. With a little help from Bad Bunny, Damian with the win. I’m glad to see Damian on RAW, it was time. (He had gone as far as he could in NXT, in my book)
Alexa Bliss — giving a recap of what has taken place. My understanding is that Fiend is looking at a complete rebrand, not sure when he will return or even how he will look. Alexa facing Nikki Cross. Needless to say, it did not end well for Nikki. (Alexa is playing the part well.)
MVP at the desk, Lucha House Party taking on Cedric/Shelton Benjamin for the Tag Team titles. Titles did not change hands.
Charlotte/Asuka, Mandy Rose/Dana and Lana/Naomi — Competing in a triple threat match for the right take on Shayna/Nia for the Ladies Tag Team Belts. (thanks to Ric Flair/Lacey Evans, Charlotte/Asuka taken out)
Elias/Jaxson Ryker facing Jeff Hardy/Carlito — (Carlito is weighing in at 240 pounds, was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble)Jeff /Carlito with the win. Hoping Carlito still stays around for a bit.
Back Story on the rivalry between Edge/Randy Orton. (Edge entered at #1 at Royal Rumble, Randy#2) Needless to say, Randy was not impressed. Hoping the match they have will end it between them once and for all.
Randy Orton on his way to the ring, passing Alexa Bliss, no eye contact, no interaction. Randy wants nothing more than to make sure that Edge never gets to Wrestlemania. It’s a hell of a fight but Edge keeps hanging on. Alexa Bliss did come back to haunt Randy, which helped Edge with.
