It’s part 2 of what should be an explosive night. With a new Women’s champion along with Tag Team champions, we need to be prepared for anything.
**Pre Show match is between Breezango facing Killian Dane/Drake Maverick for the right to be #1 contender to the Tag Team belts. The most unorthodox offense but it was Dane/Maverick with the win for the right to face MSK for the Tag Belts.
The Ladder match to unify the Cruiserweight title is opening night 2 with Jordan Devlin facing Santos Escobar. I think this will be the night that the unexpected will surprise all of us. (The first ladder match in NXT History) It’s been a hell of a battle. Even with Santo’s goons its been a hell of a fight but in the end after pushing Jordan Devlin off the top of the ladder, Santos was able to grab both titles for the win.
It’s the Women’s Tag Team titles on the line as Shotzi Blackheart/Ember Moon face off against Candace LeRae/Indi Hartwell. The way jumped Shotzi/Ember before the bell even rang. Even the Women of NXT are showing that they are just as good as the Men with hard fought quality matches. This is one you need to watch and enjoy, Shotzi /Ember defend their titles.
North American title on the line between Johnny Gargano facing South Australia’s own Bronson Reed (Blackwood) (Austin Theory is at ringside, lets see if he causes any issues?) Bronson is holding his own but Johnny has been working on the ab muscles which have been slowing Bronson down. It was a great match, Bronson did everything he possibly could, even with a little help from Austin Theory, Gargano still holds the belt but I hope that Bronson gets his hands on him again. Bronson will hold a belt one day.
It’s the first of the 2 main events tonight as we settle in to watch Karrion Kross face Finn Balor for the NXT Men’s title. It’s not going to be a pretty match by any means, it will be ugly and they will be out to hurt each other by any means. (My money is on Finn but I have to expect anything tonight.) (Finn use to bring out the Demon, I think he is going to have to go beyond that place tonight) Finn is at a 95 pound weight disadvantage. Kross worse enemy is his emotions, Karrion is known for making mistakes when he lets his emotions get the better of him. (Finn working on the left shoulder which is the one that was dislocated and had surgery) IN the end it was not Finn’s day as he was out powered by Karrion. It was a hell of a match, give Finn the credit for holding on as long as he did. Finn made sure that Karrion did not have an easy time at all. The Universe is not happy that Karrion won. (will be interesting to see what happens to Finn?)
The 2nd main event as Kyle O’Riley facing Adam Cole. It is an unsanctioned match by NXT, which means Mr. Regal and NXT are not responsible for the outcome of the match. This is going to get extreamly ugly, someone is going to get hurt if not both of them. I am not a real fan of either of them but I dislike Adam Cole more. Hoping Kyle can hold his own in this. The Ref is only there for the count which must take place in the ring. I’m not board but its a slow moving match, watching what each other is trying to do to end the career of the other. Adam with the usual trash talk, Kyle throwing punches. Both are having a hard time standing. Adam tried to end Kyle’s career with a double chair shot but Adam hit the Ref and knocked him out. Cole pinned Kyle but no ref to count.
Kyle/Adam have gone through a floor panel. I have no clue how in the world these two are still standing. The ref is finally awake. How is Kyle still going? Thanks to the payback of a low blow to Adam Cole, Kyle finally shuts up Adam Cole and pins him. (ref is telling Adam not to move, you can see Adam is in pain. Waiting on help to get to the ring)
Some how Kyle is on his feet but Adam is being carried out by Medical staff.
This was one hell of a second night. Not sure how they are going to top this one. Will be interesting to see the medical list after this show.
