The first PLE of the year for NXT. IMO the gong home show felt flat, with no real excitement, and no putting on the final twist for the show. In going home shows there is usually excitement, one final build for the matches on the card but not this past week.
Tonight’s show is being held in Washington D.C. Booker T, Corey Graves, and Vic are at the announcer’s desk, while Mike Rome is handling ring announcing duties. Stand and Deliver will take place on Wrestlemania Weekend.
Tonight’s show will kick off with an exciting match as Stephanie Vaquer faces Fallon Henley for the Women’s North American Title. With minimal outside interference, this should be a great match since both competitors have similar body types. Fallon won the title at Halloween Havoc. However, outside interference is already a factor in the match. Despite Fatal Attraction attempting to assist her, it will ultimately be Stephanie who makes history as the first South American-born champion in WWE.

NXT Tag Team Titles are on the line with Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura facing Nathan Frazier and Axiom. Nathan wearing a mask to protect his broken nose. This is going to be speed versus strength. This is becoming a good quality match, with both teams fighting hard. The ref is giving the needed leeway but this is one of the best Men’s tag matches in ages. That was just amazing, both teams brought all they had and more. Nathan Frazier/Axiom is still your NXT Men’s Tag Champions.
Trick Williams facing Eddy Thorpe in a Strap Match. This match is not going to be pretty. Trick threw the first punch even before the match started. They finally got the strap on, now anything is legal. The Universe is very vocal as to who they are backing. Trick is wrestling with anger, which in this case he needs to be angry. I’m just stunned, at how Eddy won this match. The Universe is not happy about this.
Ja’von Evans looking for payback when he faces Ethan Page. (know its storyline but when there is an actual injury that goes over the line) If they give Ethan Page this win, it’s going to be crap. This is a good kid, just getting started and is good. This has been all Ja’von. Damn it, Ja’von held his own but it was not meant to be today. Ethan took advantage of a couple of mistakes that Ja’von made getting the win.
The NXT Men’s title is on the line as the current title holder Oba Femi in a triple threat match facing Austin Theory, Greyson Waller. This is interesting, is it two-on-one or really a triple threat. They are taking it to Oba but I can’t see this title changing hands. Oba is working hard on this one, the first table just came out. Just when it looked like A-town was going to pull something off, Oba stood tall and finally ended it.
**March 11 is RoadBlock — the final PLE before Wrestlemania.
MAIN EVENT: The NXT Women’s title is on the line as Giulia defends her championship against Bayley, Cora Jade, and Roxanne. I don’t foresee the title changing hands. Roxanne is heading to RAW on Monday for a chance to enter the Elimination Chamber, while Cora and Roxanne have had some intense moments going after each other. Bayley is already set for the Chamber.
I believe this match will set the stage for a feud between Cora and Roxanne, but I have a strong feeling it will ultimately lead to a Giulia and Cora rivalry. In the end, Giulia hit Roxanne with a Northern Lights suplex to secure the victory. Your champion remains Giulia. Stephanie McMahon came out to celebrate, but just as the show was ending, Jordynne Grace made an appearance, announcing that she would
