“Live from a sold-out Bell Centre in Montreal, it’s Saturday Night’s Main Event! We are officially on the final stop before the Royal Rumble.”
12,891 in attendance
Pre-Match Ambush: Fatu didn’t even wait for the bell to ring. He blindsided Cody during the entrance, taking out veteran ref Charles Robinson in the process. Montreal Street Fight: The “match” quickly spiralled into a lawless brawl. Everything from ring steps to Montreal “food weapons” was used as the fight spilled into the crowd.
The Sabotage: Just as the carnage peaked, Drew McIntyre emerged! He laid waste to Fatu with a table spot and delivered a devastating low blow to Cody, leaving both men in a heap.
The Verdict: No contest, but a massive message sent by the Champion.
Women’s Tag Team Titles: Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY (c) vs. Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez. Tag War in every sense of the word, the question is, will Raquel show up to cause issues? I love how Iyo has added a jump, timed with Rhea’s. I am hearing that Rhea/Iyo will hold the belts until Wrestlemania. I can’t see Giulia/Kiana winning unless it’s a steal win. That was a match for the ages. Even with Raquel showing up and Stephanie coming for payback, it still didn’t make a difference. Rhea/Iyo keep the titles.
Surprise Addition: AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (A classic rivalry revisited). “Tonight isn’t just a match; it’s a 10-year rivalry revisited.” From the Tokyo Dome to WrestleMania, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura have defined an era. With AJ Styles fighting for his career on the ‘Road to the Rumble,’ tonight in Montreal feels like the final chapter of a decade-long war. That was a classic match, with both men showing respect for each other when it was over. AJ wins.
The Main Event: Fatal 4-Way (#1 Contender for WWE Title): Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn vs. Damian Priest vs. Trick Williams. (Randy entered first, Damian, Trick, Sami)
Trick and Sami together in the ring is a “charisma overload.” Watch how they interact—the crowd is going to be torn between “Whoop That Trick” and “Olé!” Priest and Orton are the veterans here. Watch if they try to take out the younger guys early to turn this into a one-on-one battle. You can frame this as “The Past, Present, and Future of WWE” all colliding in one ring.
I want Sami to win this, but I think he will win the title at WrestleMania. It’s not Trick’s time. Damian/Randy both have a shot at this.
“Trick Williams is definitely bringing the energy, but in a ring with veterans like Randy Orton and Damian Priest, his style feels a bit like a distraction. Is he ready for this level, or is he just noise in the Bell Centre?
THE HOMETOWN HERO COMES THROUGH! 🇨🇦🙌
The Bell Centre must be absolutely unhinged right now! Sami Zayn winning in Montreal is one of those “all-time” wrestling moments. Even with Trick Williams getting on your nerves and the veteran threats of Orton and Priest, the heart and soul of the city pulled it off.
“MONTREAL MIRACLE: Sami Zayn Conquers the Fatal 4-Way to Close #SNME in Grand Style!”
“Sami finally tastes victory on a night where legends fell. Is Drew McIntyre finally in his rearview mirror, or is the ‘Sami Curse’ only partially broken?”
