This time of year gets interesting to say the least. The Rumble for both the Men and Women sets the tone for the Journey to Wrestlemania 42.

There are 13 confirmed entrances. Roman Reigns (The Favourite), but I can’t see them putting a belt on him as he is part-time. *Cody Rhodes -As much as I want Cody to win, that would be 3 years in a row defending a title. *Oba Femi – Oba may very well set the elimination record, which is currently at 13, which is held by Brock Lesnar/Braun Strowman. Kane still holds the all-time record for total career eliminations with 46 across his 20 appearances. *Bron Breakker – what I want to see is if The Vision really help him or turns on him. *Gunther – he won’t settle til he can beat CM Punk for the title. *Jey Uso – I think if he plays things smart, he could be there in the end. *Logan Paul – He will be more interested in making sure Braun Brekker gets over, but I will love anyone who eliminates him. *Bronson Reed – This is another one, wondering if he will turn on The Vision. They seem to be pushing him to the side. *Austin Theory – I am still convinced that he is really in The Vision for Seth. *Solo Sikoa – Where is MFT? *Penta & Dragon Lee – They can work together to survive, but I don’t think they will last. *Rey Mysterio – Did Rey survive the on-slot from The Vision? *R-Truth – The humour of the bunch?

My pick on the Men’s side has to be L.A.Knight

On the ladies’ side of the Rumble, this could be just as interesting. *Bianca Belair – I would love to see her return, but last I knew, she was not medically cleared. * Tiffany Stratton – I will be more surprised if she does not return. Tiff still needs a rematch against Jade. * Liv Morgan – depending on where she draws, she could be there in the end. The question is, will Raquel/Roxy help her? *Bayley – she is due for a huge breakout. She has the experience to stay in there til the end. *Roxanne – She is good, I will give her that respect. She plays the “Mean Girl” with ease, but at least for me, I am past her. IMO, she needs to go off-screen for a break and a freshen up. *Lyra – If she is careful making good decisions, she could be there in the end. *Charlotte – She has been there in the end and won, but is it good for business to give her the win again? *Rhea – What do I say? She is my hometown girl. I really want her to win this, but does that put her tag title run with Iyo in jeopardy? *Asuka/Kairi Sane – Will this be the day that Kairi says enough and turns on Asuka?

I’m stuck in a 3-way pick for the ladies:

Rhea Ripley: The “Mami” factor. You can’t bet against the most dominant force in the division. Liv Morgan: The heart of the Rumble. A win for Liv is a win for the underdogs everywhere. Bayley: The strategist. She knows how to navigate these ropes better than anyone.

The Post-Rumble Aftershock

And just when we thought the Rumble was the only story, Tommaso Ciampa shows up in AEW. The “Blackheart” has crossed the line, and the wrestling world is still spinning. Between the Rumble prep and this massive defection, my podcast in the morning is going to be packed.
