The ladder match for the Men’s NXT title that was vacated by Oba Femi is the main event for today’s show.
**Shawn Michaels officially making Stone the Interim GM today (Feb 3) means the “Robert Stone Brand” just got the biggest promotion of its life. With Ava out, the locker room is a bit like the Wild West. Having Stone in charge adds a layer of unpredictability—Shawn told Robert that it can get a bit wild at times, and that he likes it that way.
**It’s the triple threat match for the North American Women’s title with Izzi Dame facing Lola Vice and Thea Hale. Kelani Jordan used a ladder to smash Lola Vice’s hand. Which took her out of the match. This completely neutralises Lola’s MMA-style striking game. No sign of Tatum Paxley anywhere. Izzi retains with a clean pin of Thea Hale.
**Tony D is in the ring. It’s been 7 months. This feels like a “gatekeeper” vs. “invader” story. Tony is reclaiming his territory after being away, and Dark State is the biggest obstacle in the way of whoever wants to run the show. Moving from “business boss” to “avenging warrior” makes him the perfect foil for a group like Dark State that just wants to create chaos. Tony said there were 2 reasons, and he will share the 2nd reason after taking care of Dark State.
**Charlie Dempsey is facing Elio LeFleur in the Speed Tournament. Less than 30 seconds left, Elio is getting the win. Elio LeFleur thrives in these high-velocity sprints. He can hit three or four aerial moves in the time it takes a powerhouse to catch their breath. Elio is perfect for the Speed Tourney. If you blink, you will miss him.
**TNA Knockout Tag titles with Zaria/Sol Ruca facing off against The Elegance Brand. (Zaria is in a mood, telling Sol she needs this win for her) You’ve got the pure athleticism of Sol Ruca and the powerhouse intensity of Zaria. They’ve been on such a roll lately that they might just take those TNA titles tonight. They have completely fallen apart. I can’t see Sol and Zaria surviving after this. Total lack of communication. Zaria isn’t just “in a mood”; she’s feeling like the backup when she should be the anchor.
**Men’s Tag Match with Chase U facing off against Stack/Alexis King with Ariana Grace in their corner. It was a lopsided match, but Stacks/Alexis took out their win. They were relentless. I can see Stacks/Alexis causing issues for the rest of the Tag Division. I think they put the Tag division on notice.
**Fatal Attraction is on the way to the ring. Wren/Kendall, along with Zaria/Sol, were also in the ring, calling for a chance to get a tag match against Jacey. Robert Stone just made the following match. It’s a tag team between Sol/Zaria facing Wren/Kenall, who gets the pin, and gets to face Jacey Jade in 3 weeks.
**MAIN EVENT for the NXT Men’s Title — Ricky Saints/Shiloh Hill/Joe Hendry/Sean Legacy/Jackson Drake/Dion Lennox/Keanu Carver. It took everyone and a bunch of ladders to take Keanu Carver out of the match. The Veteran View: Mick (the human brick shit house) officially labels Ricky Saints a “show pony” in purple shorts. You’ve got the power of guys like Joe Hendry and Sean Legacy vs. the speed and “showiness” of Ricky Saints. Does pure strength (Mick style) win a ladder match, or is the “skinny kid” going to surprise everyone by being too fast to catch?
It’s down to Joe Hendry/Ricky Saints at the top of the ladder in a tug-of-war for the belt, but in the end, it would be Joe Hendry sitting atop the ladder as the new NXT Men’s Champion.
