Night of Champions

I am playing catch-up as the show aired here in Australia in the early hours of today. I know what took place pretty much. There were a few things that caught my attention, but other things I was not too surprised by, and how things played out. The finals of the King and Queen of the Ring also took place.

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett are at the announcers’ desk with Mark Nash taking care of ring announcing duties.

**The opening match of the evening featured a thrilling showdown between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes for the prestigious King of the Ring title. The atmosphere was electric, with fans buzzing in anticipation as I predicted that Cody would emerge victorious, setting up a highly anticipated rematch with John Cena for the championship at Summer Slam. The question loomed: would Randy turn heel after this encounter? Randy holds a notable record with 7 singles victories over Cody, while Cody has managed to vanquish Randy just 3 times. The excitement was palpable, but the roar of the crowd made it challenging to catch the commentary from Wade and Cole. For the first time in 12 years, these two competitors squared off in singles action, and the stakes couldn’t have been higher. As the match unfolded, Randy tried to execute a devastating stomp but hesitated for a split second. That moment of indecision allowed Cody to deftly evade the blow, showcasing his agility and ring awareness. Both wrestlers poured their hearts and souls into the match, giving the audience a captivating display of athleticism and strategy. Randy, ever the cunning competitor, managed to remove a turnbuckle pad, attempting to exploit it as an advantage. However, in a dramatic twist, it was Randy who inadvertently set Cody up for victory with a well-timed strike under his arm, leading to an unexpected win for Cody. The crowd erupted, their excitement echoing throughout the arena as the match concluded in a stunning finish.

**MATCH 2–Rhea Ripley faced off against Raquel Rodriguez in a Street Fight, and it was as brutal as expected. The only way to win this match was by pinfall or submission. As of now, there hasn’t been a decision made regarding the Women’s Tag Team title, which remains with Raquel. However, rumours suggest that Roxanne Perez may team up with Raquel. This was Rhea’s first street fight, and it was clear that she was determined to make an impact. Rhea aggressively attacked Raquel with a studded belt. Although Rhea endured significant punishment during the match, she continually found ways to come back even stronger. In a dramatic moment, with a table perched on the top turnbuckle, Rhea managed to lift Raquel and executed a Riptide from the top for the victory.

Evolution (the 2nd ever all-women’s PLE) is coming on July 13 from Atlanta, Georgia.

**MATCH 3 – Sami Zayn facing Karron Kross. I was surprised to see that Sami won this. Karron makes a better bully in my book; they need to get him in a fued of some kind. (Not sure if this story will continue after this match or not.) It has been mostly Karron in control with Sami getting little bits in, but he was holding his own. Sami really needed this win. The universe is behind Sami. When are they going to learn to never count out Sami? Karron kept screaming at Sami that he needed to admit that Karron was right. Sami with a hulva kick out of nowhere for the win.

**MATCH 4 – Jacob Fatu defending the Men’s United States title against Solo Sokia. I knew this would be a title change. It was not a one-on-one match, but turned into a 3 3-on-1 match, with the return of Tonga Loa and Hikuelo. JC Mato is racing to the ring to help Solo with the win. Are we heading for Bloodline 2.0? I still can’t get over Jacob Fatu with his mobility, being able to fly and doing layouts off the top turnbuckle.

**MATCH 5 – Jade Cargill facing Asuka for the Queen of the Ring title. I was surprised by the outcome of this match. I really wanted to see Asuka face Iyo Sky at Summer Slam, which could still happen. Jade has the strength, Auska has the speed, plus experience. (Jade working a Storm look from the Marvel Universe) It was an OK match, room for improvement. That was a rough pin by Jade, but the job got done. I kind of get why they put the crown on Jade, it keeps the fued with Naomi going. Jade beats Tiffany, with Naomi cashing in on Jade winning the title.

**MATCH 6 – CM Punk takes on John Cena. Well, we all knew how this would end. Who is going to interfere? How big of a heel would John be as usual? (I can’t wait for this storyline to end, with Cena as the heel.) You also knew that Seth would show up with his merry band of idiots. The title is on the line, but, knew it would not change hands, waiting for Summer Slam. John and CM each had their little moments to take the lead in the match. Let’s see if the ref also gets taken out in this one. Well, John went cheap as always, going for the belt as per usual. I have to admit it has been a good match-up to this point. We all know it will go south. Well, the Ref just got hit, Punk with the win and no ref as per usual. CM is screaming for a ref, and here comes Seth with his flying Monkeys. No ref, for the cash in but Seth doesn’t care, he just wanted to screw Punk at all cost. Nick Charles was flying down to the ring, John took him out, so Seth could not cash in. Penta is on his way to the ring, but he is heading for Braun Brekker. Sami is out to help Penta. With a leap off the ramp, Penta took out Braun and Sami. Thanks to a stomp from Seth, John will live to fight another day as champion.

SmackDown in Riyadh

This will be a couple of interesting shows. (110 outside at the time of the show)

The power went out in Riyadh, with the show being off for around 30 minutes

The ladies must be covered up. Most of the ladies are wearing full-body suits

Michael Cole is handling the announcer’s desk with Wade Barrett. Matt is taking care of the ring announcing duties.

Cody is on his way to the ring; his opponent for King of the Ring, Randy Orton, is on his way to join Cody. Randy and Cody are giving props to the audience for singing their respective theme songs. Just as Randy was starting his chat with Cody, the power in the city went out.

36 days from the first 2 night Summer Slam

The Show is finally back, and the first match, after the power outage, is JC Mateo facing Jimmy Uso. Solo told Mato to remind Jimmy that he needs to return to the family. This will not be pretty. Thanks to a minor distraction by Solo, which worked, giving Mateo the win. Jacob is there, so Jimmy is not alone. Jimmy slapped Solo, telling him No way. Well, I told you, here comes Jacob. Jimmy shoved Fatu out of the way, super kicking Solo out of the ring.

The United States Women’s Title is on the line, with current title holder Zelina Vega defending it against Giulia. This has been a fairly even match. Guilia has a height difference, but Zelina is just as strong as her. It would be Giulia in the end who would win the title from Zelina.

Wade in the ring to chat with Jade Cargill and Asuka ahead of their match tomorrow. Well, that just got ruined by Naomi. I have to give credit that Naomi is playing a good Heel. (I have a feeling it will be Asuka, so they can book Iyo Sky to face Asuka at Summer Slam)

Aleister Black was chatting with Nick and Adam. R Truth interrupted, screaming that he wanted John Cena. Truth left, but Black walked out after Truth.

#DIY is facing off against the dynamic duo of Andrade and Rey Phoenix in an exhilarating tag match that promises high-octane action. The energy in the arena is electric, especially when Andrade and Rey take control, showcasing their impressive agility and technical prowess. Throughout the match, the back-and-forth exchanges create a gripping atmosphere. Just when it seems one team is on the verge of victory, the other pulls off a stunning counter or a last-minute kick-out, keeping the suspense alive and the audience on the edge of their seats. As the match progresses, the intensity escalates, making every move more impactful. WOW! What an incredible showdown, with Rey and Andrade ultimately claiming the win after a hard-fought battle. In my opinion, they should definitely stay together as a tag team; their chemistry in the ring is simply outstanding.

The Street Profits are defending the Tag Team belts against the Wyatt Sick. The rest of the tag teams that travelled are at the ringside. This match has fallen apart.

Nia Jax is heading to the ring to face Tiffany Stratton in a Last Woman Standing match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The rules are simple: incapacitate your opponent so that they cannot respond to the 10-count to secure the victory. Naomi races to the ring, but she never did cash in officially. Tiff, using the MITB case to knock off Nia, sending her through 2 tables. Tiff with the win.

SmackDown returns to a 2-hour show next week.

News Outside the Ring

King and Queen of the Ring is June 28th

Evolution is on July 13

The Great American Bash is on July 12

Otis is out injured, no info on the extent or if surgery is needed

Chad Gable is out injured, needing surgery. The attack by Penta was a setup to get Chad off. No information is available on the injury, but surgery is needed, and there is no timetable for his return. (Don’t be surprised if American Made is off television also until Chad returns.)

Illja Dragunov is back training at the performance centre; he could return at any time.

Liv Morgan needs shoulder surgery, and there is no timetable for her return. Have read that Roxanne Pere could take Liv’s place with the tag title, or they could be vacated.

Kevin Owens is looking at neck surgery in July. Kevin has been away, hoping that things might settle down, but the issues have returned. The Doctors have told Kevin they won’t know the full extent until they get in there.

Zoey Stark has had her knee reconstruction surgery, now its waiting for healing to be able to start rehab. There is no return date.

Kiara James is still out with an undisclosed injury, with no return date.

Apollo Crews had a torn pec muscle, underwent surgery in February of 2025. No date for his return.

Rey Mysterio had a torn groin; he underwent surgery, and there is no date for his return.

Tama Tonga was injured in April of 2025; there is no return date.

Tonga Loa has a torn bicep. There is no return date.

Carmella and Corey have announced they are expecting baby #2

NXT in Orlando

I will miss the show next week, July 2, as I will be away for the day.

Vic, Booker T, and Corey are taking care of the announcers’ desk, with Mike Rome looking after ring announcing duties.

The fatal-four-way with the women for the right to face Jacey Jade at Evolution, which is taking place in Atlanta on July 12.

Trick Williams is on the way to the ring for Singles action. The TNA Title is on the line. His opponent is Josh Briggs. So far, it’s a pretty even match. This is the first single’s title he has had the opportunity to go for. The last belt he held was the tag team titles. They are not rushing the match. That was a heck of a match, but it took one little mistake by Josh, and Trick took advantage of it, pinning Josh. Trick is getting a little full of himself. (Joe Hendry is listed on the NXT roster.)

Ja’Von Evans is heading to the ring for a singles match facing Tavion Heights from No Quarter Catch Crew. Travion has the strength to control the match, with Ja’Von having the speed. I am not sure that Ja’von can hold his own. I am stunned, Ja’Von Evans with the win. Jasper Troy just took out Ja’Von.

Look back at last week when Luca hit Tony. Noam Dar is out injured. It’s now a match between Tony and Stacks for the Heritage Cup. This should be interesting.

Ricky Saints is on his way to the ring, in singles action, facing Ashante Adonis. (Where is Ethan Page? I expect him to show up.) Saints is medically cleared to compete, but is he mentally cleared? Adonis has been in control for most of the match. Ricky found the opening he needed, getting the win. I told you, Ethan was there and a sneak attack on Ricky. Have I told you how much I can’t stand Ethan Page?

Oba Femi is in the ring for a chat. Yoshiki Inamura wants a title match with Oba for the Men’s title. Jasper Troy took out Yoshiki, demanding a rematch with Oba. Next week is a #1 contenders match between Yosh and Jasper Troy for the right to have Obi at the Great American Bash

Tony De’Angelo is facing Stacks for the Heritage Cup. Stacks is being the brat with her own security, running his mouth. (back to cup rules, 3-minute rounds) Tony needs to win this. Tony gets the first pin. Stacks ties it up, going after Tony’s injured knee. With help from Luca, Stacks wins the match. Tony just decked Luca.

*MAIN EVENT — Jordyanne Grace/Jiada Parker/Izzi Dame/Lash Legand in a fatal-four-way for the right to face Jacy Jade at Evolution. This will not be pretty at all. Any one of the ladies can take this match out to face Jacy at Evolution. Everyone is getting a few minutes to shine in the ring. Jordyanne just showed how strong she really is. Jordyann has been so close so many times, but this time she finally made it. It will be Jordynne Grace facing Jacy Jade for the Women’s NXT Title at Evolution.

RAW in Columbus, Ohio

In my hometown of Columbus, Alexa Bliss is also from Columbus.

Night of Champions airs live in Australia at 2:30 am Sunday morning for me. I will watch it as soon as I get set up at my desk.

Cole, Corey Graves, and Alicia Taylor are taking care of announcing and ring announcing duties as always.

L.A. Knight is out indefinitely after the attack from Braun and Bronson last week.

Seth Rollins and his merry band of bullies are on the way to the ring. (That is what I call them.) Seth, with the normal, I’m better than you, and it will be my way or the highway.

Braun Brekker is facing Penta in singles action, but this won’t end well for Penta, I have a feeling. Penta had his moment, but Braun was just too strong for him in the end. Seth told Penta to stay out of his way.

Jade Cargill is on her way to the ring to face Roxanne Perez for the right to face Asuka in the finals. It has to be Jade winning. Sure, Roxy has put the miles in and all, but I think it’s not her time. (I prefer Roxy as a baby face) Roxy has no clue how strong Jade really is. Good, Jade needed to win this. Roxy pushed her, but in the end, Roxy’s frustrations got the better of her. It’s going to be an interesting match; this could go either way. I can’t pick a winner.

Dom requested time with Jackie Redmond, but the Universe kept booing, so he couldn’t really say what he wanted. Apparently, he has bruised ribs and is not medically cleared to face A.J. Styles at Night of Champions.

Gunther is on his way to the ring. He will face Goldberg on July 12th at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gunther is having a temper tantrum.

Bayley is on her way to the ring for a title match with Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title. The winner of this match will be heading to Evolution. (Bayley gives Cole a hard time, but she shared that Cole would text her while she was away to check on her.) I am a fan of Becky, but not of Heel Becky. Becky is going after the arm that she injured, which took out Bayley for WrestleMania. This has been an extremely good match; they are giving it their all. Becky tried to bury Bayley, but Lyra came to the rescue. I can see this becoming a triple-threat match at Evolution.

Raquel is in the ring, demanding that Rhea come to the ring for the beating she deserves, according to Raquel. Roxy out to try and help Raquel. This won’t sit well with Rhea.

The match I have been waiting for, Jey Uso facing Cody Rhodes for the right to meet Randy Orton in the finals of the King of the Ring. A respectful handshake between the two. This should be a great match. It has been an even match, but strong. The match was brilliant, the boys pulled everything out and even some new stuff, but it was Cody with the win.

SmackDown in Grand Rapids

Joe, Wade and Mark are taking care of their ringside duties.

I am reading that Liv Morgan will require surgery on her shoulder, which will keep her out for at least six months. I am also reading that the Women’s Tag Belts will need to be vacated.

Night of Champions is June 28th. Evolution is on July 13th

L.A. Knight is on his way to the ring. Here comes Paul Heyman, who else is with him? Yeah, right, Paul, he’s the biggest Knight fan. Paul just told L.A. Knight that if he doesn’t get out of town before the end of the show, Seth would be coming after him. Here comes Breakker, Reed for a beatdown.

Queen of the Ring Semi-Final with Alexa Bliss facing Auska. This should be a good match. This has been an evenly matched game so far. No one has really been able to take control. Whichever wins, they will have earned it. In the end, it was Asuk, but it was a great match. Take nothing away from Lexi.

Jade will face Roxanne for the right to meet Asuka in the finals.

Kit Wilson in singles action against Aleister Black. R-Truth attacked Kit, stopping the match before it got started.

Recapping Gunther, who will be facing Goldberg at Night of Champions. It will be for the World Title.

Cody Rhodes is on his way to the ring. Jey Uso is joining Cody in the ring. They face off in a semi-final match in the King of the Ring tournament. You can see Cody looking at Jey with respect and love for a brother. Sami Zayn is on his way to the ring. Sami faces Randy Orton for a place in the final. Sami talked about Cody and Jey finishing their story, but now it’s time for Sami to finish his story.

Sami’s match against Randy is up next as the show takes a short break. Randy is starting to realise that he has his hands full with Sami tonight. Randy just dropped Sami on the announcer’s table twice. Sami is holding his own, but I have a feeling it’s going to be Randy in the end. This has been a very high-quality match. Whoever wins will have earned it. Bugger, it was Randy with the win but Sami took it to him, Sami has nothing to be ashamed of.

Nia Jax is on her way to the ring. Complaining that Tiffany Stratton still has her title. Next week, it’s Tiffy facing Nia; next week, it will be a Last Women Standing match. Naomi tried to cash in, but Nia stopped it from happening.

Chelsea Green is facing Charlotte Flair in singles action, but with Alba and Piper at ringside, this could get interesting. told you Alba and Piper would interfere. Charlotte got the win, but in the process of a post-match beatdown, Alexa Bliss came out to help Charlotte. Charlotte walked past Bliss but stopped in the aisle, turning around for a second look at Lexi.

Solo Sokia is on his way to the ring. Eventually, he will be facing Jacob Fatu. (Jacob has been listed as a baby face) Jacob is calling out Solo. Jacob just said that maybe the problem is the United States title. Jacob challenged Solo to a title fight. Now it’s Solo/Mateo taking out Jacob. Jimmy Uso came to help Jacob.

Bronson Reed is in the ring, facing L.A. Knight. It is basically a two-on-one match. I can’t see Knight winning this, but stranger things have happened. Well, that match just got tossed thanks to Braun sticking his nose in. Here comes the third tsunami. The Universe is letting Paul and the bullies know they are not happy.

The Main Event is R-Truth facing John Cena, but the belt is not on the line. Taking a little getting used to with R-Truth post haircut. It started with Truth in control, but John has had his moment. John got the title and walked away, as Truth chased John down with the title. John turned, hitting Truth with the title, giving the win to Truth. Music starts as CM Punk shows up, forcing John back to the ring. All John does is use the title as a weapon. Just put CM through a table. This will be rubbish as John has a mic. John is spewing whatever they wrote for him to be a heel as always. (I have it on mute, tired of hearing John’s voice) I know it’s all storytelling, but for me, it’s old and boring. I think he will lose the title at SummerSlam.

RAW in Green Bay

Cole, Corey Graves and Alisha are taking care of ringside duties.

In 11 days, Night of Champions will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Final qualifying matches for the King and Queen of the Ring matches.

Don Mysterio is on his way to the ring, with Liv supporting him. Liv has run her mouth, bringing Iyo Sky to the ring. Iyo told Liv that she is so disrespectful to everyone. LOL, Iyo just took out Liv and Dirty Dom.

The Queen of the Ring final qualifying match with Ausuka (out for 13 months), Stephanie Vaquer, Ivy Nile, and Raquel Rodriguez. (LOL Chad Gable trying to introduce Ivy but is getting booed like mad). I forgot about Rhea being stopped by Raquel last week, who was trying to help Liv. I can see Rhea stopping Raquel as payback. It’s a four-way rule. With the quick pins, wrestlers seem to let their frustrations get the better of them. I told you so. Just as Raquel was about to win, Rhea pulled her off. Giving the win to Asuka, who will face Alexa Bliss in the semi-finals.

The New Day is out to make an announcement; they are saying no one is worthy of a title match. Well, that was a waste of time.

Gunther is on his way to the ring. (question — putting the belt back on Gunther, is it a set up for Seth to cash in at some point?)The Universe is giving Gunther a tough time. Okay, I’ve heard this rumour, but let’s see how it plays out. Goldberg is to return for his retirement match, winning the belt from Gunther. You can see the look on Gunther’s face that he is not happy. July 12th in Atlanta will be Goldberg’s final match against Gunther. Taking place on Saturday Night’s Main Event. It will be for the World Heavyweight Title.

A.J. Styles is taking on J.D. McDonagh in singles action. Dom will be in A.D.’s corner, but will Dom actually help if needed? Dom tried to help, but in the end, A.J. with the win. It was Finn saving Dom, but you can see things are not great in The Judgement Day.

Bayley is on her way to the ring. She is chatting about what happened at WrestleMania. Bayley called out Becky, who is on her way to the ring. I can see a fued coming between these two. (Becky in Bears Gear, getting crap from the Green Bay fans)Bayley has a match with Becky for the Intercontinental Title.

At Night of Champions, Dom will put the Intercontinental title on the line against A.J. Styles.

Kari Sane is taking on Liv Morgan in Singles action. Liv may have injured her shoulder trying to protect herself. Doctors are with her. Kari is declared the winner. Liv has dislocated her shoulder.

The last Men’s qualifying match for King of the Ring was with Jey Uso, Rusev, Sheamus and Bronson Reed. The boys are giving it all they have. I have no clue how Jey got that spear. Sami is out to go after Braun. Penta just flew in, taking out Braun. L.A. Knight is taking out Bronson. In all of that mess, it was Jey who got the win. Of course, Seth is out having a fit because his plans fell apart. Seth started to go after Jey, but here comes Cody. Next Monday, it’s Cody facing his good mate, Jey.

Cathy Kelly is having a chat with Sami Zayn about his match with Randy Orton to decide who goes on to the final of the King of the Ring.

More Fallout from M.I.T.B

There will be more fallout from the PLE last weekend. Anything is possible. I’m interested in the fallout from Jacob Fatu turning on Solo Sikoa.

Joe, Wade, and Matt are taking care of their regular duties.

Showing Highlights from MITB. With Lyra/Becky, I wonder if this could be a heel turn for Lyra?

John Cena is on his way to the ring. This should be good. Wonder if R-Truth (Ron Killings) will be in the chat. John has a title match against CM Punk at Night of Champions. (Love how the Universe is really giving him crap) John says he is the greatest of all time for a reason. That Seth will never cash in on John. (I know it had to happen but this heel turn is crap, I feel like John keeps talking down to me.) Oh CRAP, here comes Cody out to the ring. John keeps going on and on that there is no one good enough to take the title. You know when Cody is pissed, the veins in his neck are buldging. Okay, that wasn’t expected. Randy Orton’s music just hit. Randy is on the war path; holy crap, now it’s L.A. Knight joining the conversation. John Cena walked away, saying he didn’t care. As he had his back to the ramp, screaming there is nothing anyone can do, R-Truth with a post promo beat-down. John is screaming in Nick Aldis’s face, with Nick giving it right back.

Fatal four-way in the Men’s bracket for King of the Ring. Carmello Hayes/Randy Orton/L.A.Knight/Aleistar Black. This was a pretty good match until Braun/Bronson showed up. With a midair RKO on Hayes, landing on top of Knight, Randy Orton gets the win. Randy will face Sami Zayn next week in the semi-finals.

Jacob Fatu is on his way to the ring. (he has been listed as a baby face.) Not used to Jacob on the mic. Solo just showed up on the Jumbo Screen in the arena. Solo is saying it was all because of him that he is the champion. Solo just told Fatu, I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.

Time for a Lady’s Fatal-four-way for the Queen of the Ring with Jade Cargill/Michin/Nia Jax/Piper Niven. I am hoping for Jade/Michin to get the win. I’m getting bored with Nia. Michin rolled out, but Jade rolled in. This match is getting boring. Wade got taken out when Jade was tossed over the announcer’s desk. Holy Cow, out of nowhere, Jade Cargill stops Piper Niven from pinning Michin, then pins Piper herself for the win. Jade will take on Roxanne Perez next week. (My money is on Jade.)

Naomi is on his way to the ring. She just spent 2 minutes rambling on and on, but here comes Tiffany Stratton. Evil Naomi, as Tiffy just said, Naomi is all talk and no action. Now it’s a two-on-one beatdown of Tiffy.

Here comes the Motor City Machine Guns in tag action are facing Wyatt Sicks. This won’t be pretty. Well, there was a typical tag team cheat. Told you it was not pretty. It’s really time for the Wyatt Sicks to lose.

John is looking for R-Truth(Ron), and questions Jimmy Uso if he knows where he was. John is heading to the ring, demanding that Jimmy tell R-Truth that he is waiting for him in the ring.

John is throwing a temper tantrum back on the ring. screaming for Truth to come out. Screaming that he crossed the line. Demanding that Truth come to the ring, but CM Punk’s music started. CM is great on the mic, talking about disrespecting the fans by John. LOL, love that. Punk does have a way with words. CM, shut up, John and walked away, but R-Truth with another sneak attack on John.

Time for another Ladies’ qualifying match for Queen of the Ring with Charlotte/Alexa Bliss/Alba Fire/Candice LeRae. Charlotte is wearing her knee brace. OMG, Alexa Bliss pinned Candace for the win, but Alba tapped out after the win.

Time for the Men’s Qualifying match for King of the Ring with Cody/Damien Priest/Andrade/Shinsuke. (I can see this being the set up for a rematch between Cody/John) Hey, Cody, “Get the Table” Shinsuke just dropped kicked Cody, who fell through the table. Cody with the win. It was not pretty, but it got the job done.

NXT In Orlando

At home at the Performance Centre.

Vic, Booker T and Corey at the announcer’s desk, with Mike Rome taking care of ring announcing duties.

Recap of last week’s show, along with the arrival of Mirah May (not sure if she is keeping that name or not) from AEW. Her new name is Blake Monroe

Jasper Troy just attacked Oba Femi in the parking lot. They are supposed to meet later on tonight. I was looking up Jasper’s last name on the NXT roster, and Joe Hendry is listed on the NXT Roster.

Ethan Page is defending the North American Title against Sean Legacy. Ethan is not taking this as seriously as he should. You can hear the NXT Universe is fully behind Sean. Sean was just inches from winning when Page kicked out. Page tried to put Sean through the announcer’s table, with Sean getting out of it. Sean Legacy made Ethan earn this win. Ricky Saint just jumped Ethan Page post-match.

The Cunning Sean Spears/Niko Vance in tag action facing Josh Briggs/Yoshiki Inamura. Izzi Dame is at the ringside, but she is armed with a chair. It was not a pretty match in any way, but The Cunning came away with the win.

Evolution is in Atlanta on July 13th.

Lash Legend in singles action, facing Wren Sinclair from No Quarter Catch Crew. Kelani Jordan is at the ringside. I want Wren to win this, but Lash has the strength. Got to give Wren credit for giving it a real go.

Lainey Reed, who debuted approximately a year ago, is set to compete in a singles match against Jacy Jade, with the Women’s NXT Championship on the line. Lainey will be facing a three-on-one situation in this match. (Where is Jordyanne Grace?) So far, it has been an exciting match, but Fatal Influence needs to stay out of it. Just 30 seconds later, Fallon interferes. Despite the interruptions, Lainey is showing great potential and will eventually get there. Jacy retains her championship belt. Now, this situation has become even more interesting: thanks to Ava, there will be four singles matches. The winners of those matches will face off in a fatal four-way, with the victor earning the opportunity to challenge Jacy for the NXT Women’s Title at Evolution.

Tony D’Angelo is making his way to the ring with Luca Crusifino for a tag team match. However, I have my doubts about Luca; I suspect he is still in cahoots with Stacks. They will be facing The High Ryze, which consists of Wes Lee, Tyriek Igwe, and Tyson Dupont. Tony and Luca are clearly not on the same page, which raises some questions. You can see that Tony is being cautious. I previously mentioned that Stacks and Luca were working together, and Stacks even showed up with a crowbar. Luca would have used it, but Tony managed to catch him before he could.

NXT Great American Bash is July 12

The field for the right to face Jacey Jade at Evolution has been named. Lash Legend/Kelani Jordan, Zaria/Izzi Dame, Thea Hale/Jaida Parker, and Lola Vice/Jordyanne Grace, with those matches starting next week.

Oma Femi, who was injured earlier, thanks to Jasper Troy, has been cleared to compete. Oba’s ribs are tapped up. He is not 100%. If the title changes hands, that could be the cue for Oba getting called up. If Jasper could have made that pin, he would be wearing gold right now. I have no clue where Oba is getting this from; he is holding his own. Holy Cow, Oba Femi is still champion, but take nothing away from Jasper in that performance.

Fallout on RAW from M.I.T.B

It will be interesting to see what happens. I can bet the show will open with Seth bragging about having the Men’s briefcase. Actually, the show opened with John Cena.

Tonight’s show is taking place in Phoenix

Cole, Wade Barrett is filling in for Pat tonight, and Alisha is taking care of the announcer’s table and ring announcing duties.

John Cena is in the ring, and I have the TV on mute. It’s the same old crap, just in anohter city. John is ticked off at R-Truth for sticking his nose in the match on Saturday. OK, here comes CM Punk. This should be interesting. CM basically told John to shut up and listen. Punk has grown on me. OK, this could get interesting. Possible match at Night of Champions, CM Punk facing John Cena for the Undisputed World title.

Qualifying for King and Queen of the Ring starts tonight.

Chad Gable is on his way to the ring, facing A.J. Styles. Chad has his right elbow wrapped, and his left shoulder is tapped. Chad is getting boring. It’s actually a 3 on 1 match with American Made at ringside. Gable tried the ankle lock, but Styles countered with a clash out of nowhere, getting the win.

Women’s Qualifying match for Queen of the Ring. It’s a fatal four-way match featuring Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, Kairi Sane (who has returned to her pirate persona), and Rhea Ripley as the final competitor. Everyone is focused on trying to eliminate Rhea from the match. At the moment, Liv and Roxy are collaborating to achieve this goal. Getting board with Rhea always getting the crap end of the deal, its time for Rhea to be back on top. Of course, Raquel saves Liv. Dam it, Roxy steals the win.

Night of Champions is June 28th

Well, this should be good for a lot of garbage. Becky Lynch is on the way to the ring. Still not sure why they put the belt on her. (Is Lyra hiding for a sneak attack?) Becky is demanding an apology and that Lyra raise her hand correctly. It wasn’t Lyra with a sneak attack; it was Bayley.

Just as Wade and Cole were talking about Bayley, R-Truth is standing on the announcer’s table, thanking the crowd for using their voices to be heard. Truth just cut his braids off. He is using his real name, Ron Killings.

Men’s Qualifying for King of the Ring with Penta, Dom Mysterio, Sami Zayn and Braun Brekker. I am not sure with Brekker in there that Sami can pull this off. I would also love for Penta to get the win, but I have a feeling Braun will pull this off.

**I had a personal issue I had to deal with and missed the end of the show.

Sami won the Fatal 4 way.

Nikki Bella made an appearance. I don’t think she is returning, but the All Women’s PLE is coming in July.

Gunther has recaptured the Heavyweight Title, which makes me say it for Jay, but I read that New Day says no one can beat them to take the tag titles. Well, what about The Usos?

CM Punk versus John Cena for the Undisputed title will happy at Night of Champions
