The final RAW before WrestleMania. A going-home show is the final show before a major PLE. It’s the last chance for stars to cut promos to excite you for their match. It’s also the last chance for Adam and Nick to adjust matches if needed.
Tonight’s show is in Sacramento, and it’s just a short trip to Las Vegas.
5 days and counting
Cole and Pat are at the announcer’s desk with Alicia Taylor taking care of Ring announcer duties.
Gunther is on his way to the ring, not looking like he is in a good mood. Cole is in the ring, trying to chat with Gunther about what happened. Jey told Gunther that he is not afraid of him anymore. Gunther is screaming that he is the greatest champion of all time. The Universe is giving Gunther so much grief. (IMO this has been a good set-up, I can’t wait til Jey wins the title.)
Liv and Raquel are making their way to the ring. Liv is set to compete in a singles match against Bayley, who has Lyra in her corner. Raquel attempted to intervene in the match, but Lyra had other plans. With a bit of assistance from Lyra, Bayley managed to evade Liv’s finishing move when Lyra held onto Bayley to shift the momentum. Bayley then rolled up Liv for the win.
Rey Mysterio is making his way to the ring, supported by the L.W.O., as he prepares for a singles match against Julius Creed. Julius is determined to do whatever it takes to injure Rey before Rey’s upcoming match against Chad. Chaos ensues when everyone else is thrown out from the ringside after interfering, leaving only Rey and Julius to face off. Suddenly, Chad, dressed as El Granda, appears to assist Julius in trying to secure a victory. Despite the interference, Rey manages to get the pin. However, Chad, who has a metal plate hidden in his mask, takes out everyone involved.
A.J. Styles is headed to the ring for a singles match against Karrion Kross. It’s been a while since Kross has competed in the ring. Styles recently faced Logan Paul at WrestleMania and came away with a victory. Kross angered Styles, which I believe was the turning point in that match. Of course, Logan Paul is always around to talk, but he has no respect for the business. I will give him some credit for his skill, but Logan is all show; he hasn’t put in the hard work that this industry requires to earn true respect.
Jey Uso is on his way to the ring. You know he will have a few things to say in response to Gunther. The Universe is going nuts right now. Even Cole and Pat are having fun.
Penta in singles action, facing Finn Balor. Both of these gentlemen will be part of the first fatal-four-way for the Intercontinental Title currently held by Braun Brekker. Penta was on the verge of winning, but needless to say, this match had no winner. Thanks to Carlito/Dom getting involved. Braun showed up trying to take everyone out, but it was Penta who was the last man standing.
Roman is in the ring with Paul Heyman. Final promo for the triple threat match with Roman, Seth and CM. Seth has joined Roman in the ring. Roman just went after Seth, but Roman also went after Paul. Paul takes out CM but Seth with a chair to Roman and a Stomp to CM and Roman.
