Seth is in the ring to open the show tonight. Seth called out Braun, who had just told him he only needed one thing: Paul Heyman. This is setting up for their fued. Seth challenged Braun to a match at Backlash. The match is official, Seth will face Braun at Backlash.
Penta has a tough job ahead, facing Rusev. (Ethan Page just walked out and is at ringside) This has been a one-sided match at this point. I dont know how, but Penta managed to roll up Rusev for the win. Ethan joined Rusev in a 2-on-1 beatdown of Penta, but Ja’von Evans showed up to lend a hand.
Becky Lynch is in the ring after winning back the I.C title from A.J Lee. Becky issued an open challenge, and Iyo Sky came out. Becky is laughing at Iyo. Becky put the title on the line. Pearce just came out. It’s official. Iyo was on her way to winning, but Asuka showed up to play spoiler. Giving Becky the win. Iyo will meet Asuka at Backlash.
Joe Hendry has arrived. In his song, he wanted Adam Pearce to fire Logan Paul; needless to say, Logan is having a screaming fit. Theory screaming that The Vision tried to take out Joe, but The Street Profits showed up. They want tag team gold. (Theory was quoted on social media saying that Montel had to go back to work because of Bianca’s pregnancy)
Rey Mysterio in singles action with El Grande Americano. End of May is a “Mask vs Mask” on May 30th. (It should be Chad who loses with Ludwig keeping the mask. He has done so much work to create this character) Rey won, giving the assist to Chad.
Greyson Waller is facing Oba Femi. Do I need to say anything else? I love that Oba can also work the mic. OK, Oba has just created an Open Challenge. (I did read that it was Brock who chose Oba to retire him)
Roxanne Perez/Raquel is facing Bayley/Lyria in tag team action. Laredo is Roxy’s hometown. Liv is at the ringside. They had to give Roxy/Raquel the win tonight, being in Roxy’s hometown.
Roman is in the ring. Cutting a promo, but here comes Jacob Fatu. Roman says he can’t allow Jacob to face him. Kept telling him he is not ready. The match is made, Jacob forced Roman’s hand. They will meet a Backlash provided Adam Pearce makes it official.
