Tonight, we return to RAw to check out the landscape. This is also the Road to Backlash.
Cole is at the desk tonight. Corey is also at the desk with Cole tonight.
Oba Femi is opening the show, heading to the ring. Mark Nash is handling the announcing duties as Alisha Taylor gets a well-deserved day off.
First match of the night is a tag team with the Kaboki Warriros facing off against Rhea Ripley/Iyo Sky. Rhea is back in her trademark black. Asuka/Kairi tried everything, but it was not enough to get the job done. Rhea/Iyo with the win.
CM Punk is in the ring to chat about his match with Roman. You can see he is beat up. To be honest, I am surprised he is standing. He is taking it all in. Punk thanks all the behind-the-scenes crew for what they do every week. Cody just walked out, and he took his sunglasses off. He looks like hell. They had a bit of a chat. CM told Cody that he will stay ready because he never knows when an opportunity will fall from the sky. Punk has exited, with his back to Cody. Cody says, ” Just say when.”
Ethan Page has been called up to RAW for his first match against Je’von Evans. (B-Fab is his cousin) Thanks to Rusev, Ethan wins. Penta is out to help Je’von, but Page is once again sticking his nose in where it doesn’t belong.
Liv Morgan on the way to the ring with Judgement Day in tow. Still waiting to see if Roxanne or Raquel will turn on her. (That has been a rumour for a while, but it’s cooled off for now) Sol Ruca just walked out. Well, Liv basically said thanks for the kind words and now get out of my ring. Adam Page came out and said, “Sounds like you want to see a fight” Well, we got one. Liv vs Sol Ruca. Welcome to RAW Sol Ruca. Well, Zaria just spoiled it all. Liv had help with that one, thanks to Zaria. Stephanie just walked out to give Liv a fair warning.
The Vision — Paul Heyman, Austin Theory/Logan Paul. Bron Brekker is back. Paul just introduced him, ending in the typical way. Street Profits showed up, taking out Paul/Austin. Brekker spearing the hell out of Seth. Sets up their fued.
Finn Balor is facing JD McDonagh — Figure that Dom will be at ringside. JD has tapped up ribs from his match last night. No doubt that Finn would win, but Dom has to spoil it all.
Roman Reigns is on his way to the ring. Will be interesting to see how much of a fighting Champion he will be. He has Jey/Jimmy with him. Well, Jacob Fatu just showed up. Jacob wants a title shot at Backlash, but Roman is not happy about it. I am just hoping this is not Baloodline 2.0, or I have a feeling it will set things back (my opinion)
