Speaking of Michael Cole earlier, that 2011 show had one of the wilder trivia notes in Raw history: Cole actually wrestled in the main event.

John Laurinaitis booked John Cena and Jim Ross against Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole. JR ended up locking Cole in the Ankle Lock to make him tap out for the win.

Going from Cole getting stretched in the ring in 2011 to having Corey Graves and Joe Tessitore calling Roman Reigns vs. Penta in 2026 shows just how much the landscape has shifted!

The Opener: Liv Morgan strutted out without the Women’s World Championship, showing visible desperation alongside Dominik Mysterio.

The Incitement: Liv crossed the line in front of the rabid Mexico City crowd at Arena CDMX by calling new champion Stephanie Vaquer a puta, sending the building into an absolute fury.

The Demand: Dom took the mic to demand a mixed tag match pairing himself and Liv against Stephanie and his father, Rey Mysterio.

The Roadblock: Rey isn’t medically cleared to compete, leaving Dom smug and thinking he had the upper hand.

The Setup: The distraction backfired when El Grande Americano emerged to step up as Stephanie’s partner, locking in an impromptu mixed tag match against Liv and Dom.

Winners: Stephanie Vaquer & El Grande Americano (by DQ). Of course, the norm happens: just when Stephanie and Grande get ahead, the rest of The Judgment Day show up to spoil things. (You wonder why I have taken a break from all of the stupidity.) How long is it going to be before Triple H puts an end to this faction once and for all?

Bronson Reed returned to The Vision this past weekend. He has lost weight and bulked up.

It’s a Money in the Bank qualifying match with Je’Von Evans, Austin Theory, and Big Cass—and Je’Von walks away with the win!

Intercontinental Championship Match: Chad Gable vs. Dragon Lee. Winner & STILL Intercontinental Champion: Chad Gable. What a match! Gable locked in the ankle lock, and in the end, Dragon Lee had no choice but to tap out. Chad showed true respect to Dragon before departing the ring.

Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Raquel Rodriguez vs. Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan. Winner: Lola Vice. Lola makes an impact right out of the gate in her debut. Not entirely sure how she managed it against that lineup, but she walks away with the victory!

Undisputed WWE Championship Main Event: Roman Reigns vs. Penta. Winner & STILL Champion: Roman Reigns. Penta took Roman to his absolute limits and beyond—Roman has rarely been tested like this. Hands down one of the best title defences Roman has ever put on, and it was genuinely refreshing to see an honest, straight-up battle without all the usual nonsense.

Next week, the show rolls into San Antonio! We’ll see who steps up next and if anyone can finally put Judgment Day in their place. Until next time!
