“I know I’ve been MIA of late, but I think it’s important to be real with you about why. Trying to get readers and grow a platform is a hard nut to crack. I pour my heart into everything I create, but sometimes, the lack of noise on the other side gets discouraging. Lately, though, I’ve been refocusing, and there are a few big updates I need to share.”

Being a wrestling fan in South Australia is a massive commitment on its own, but trying to cover the shows consistently when the time zones are completely flipped is an incredible challenge. It really underscores just how much effort and heart you put into your content, even when you’re exhausted.

“It’s not just the gruelling overnight scheduling that’s keeping me at arm’s length, either; the storylines of late have become an extremely frustrating part of the equation. Right now, all the major angles are bleeding together and feeling way too similar. Take Friday Night SmackDown, for example. You have Fatal Influence and the alliance of Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin, all of whom seem to find it better to just run around and beat up everyone rather than giving us actual, nuanced character progression. Then you flip over to Monday Night RAW, and we’re stuck watching the Bloodline elements forming all over again, with the MFT group not going anywhere. It leaves me wondering: what exactly is this, Bloodline 2.0? The endless repetition is exhausting, and it makes it hard to stay invested when everything feels like a carbon copy of the week before.”

“And speaking of stale storytelling, can we please finally just blow up The Judgment Day? They systematically got rid of Rhea Ripley, Finn Bálor, and Damian Priest—the exact people who made the faction worth watching in the first place. Now? Watching Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio on my screen is like watching paint dry. To make matters worse, they’ve grouped Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez into the mix. While they work well together as a powerhouse tag team, it begs the question: where is Roxy’s singles run? Personally, I can’t stand her as a heel, but I have to give credit where credit is due—she is incredibly good at what she does. But hiding that talent in a dying stable is doing her a massive disservice.”

“A massive part of why everything feels so stagnant right now is the current injury list. Some of the biggest names who truly make the product pop are deeply missed. Take Kevin Owens, for example; his absence leaves a glaring void because he brings a level of chaotic, authentic intensity that you just can’t manufacture. We also know that Bianca Belair won’t be back anytime soon as she recovers from surgery, but her unparalleled, powerhouse energy is sorely missed on the women’s side. Then there’s Randy Orton. I know his back has to be carefully managed following his gruelling history, but he possesses that old-school, veteran energy that makes every single thing he does feel incredibly special and important. Without that calibre of star power to anchor the shows, the creative team is exposed, and the weekly product suffers for it.”

“Then we have to talk about Seth Rollins and this never-ending storyline with The Vision, which is another angle that is getting seriously old. It feels like it’s been running on a loop forever. Now that Logan Paul is out indefinitely with a torn triceps, they’ve had to scramble the booking—but the fixes aren’t helping. Using the ‘Freebird rule’ to shove Bron Breakker into Logan’s spot to defend the tag titles with Austin Theory feels lazy, and the rumours of Bronson Reed getting pulled into this mess just make it worse. Bronson is an absolute powerhouse who should be dominant on his own, not used as a filler piece to patch up a faction storyline that has already overstayed its welcome.”

“Looking ahead, the internet rumour mill is already spinning, and it might just hold the keys to saving us from this creative slump. First, there are whispers that Bronson Reed is rumoured to be making his return at some point soon, which could inject some much-needed powerhouse dominance back into the midcard. But the real bombshell making the rounds is that WWE is reportedly looking to book Seth Rollins against Roman Reigns at next year’s massive WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia. If that’s true, it’s a stadium-level dream match that could completely reset the main event scene. For now, despite the gruelling overnight time zones here in South Australia, the lazy storytelling, and the exhausting repetitions, I’ll keep giving this blog my all. Because when WWE finally hits the gas on angles like that, there is absolutely nothing better.

What do you think?

Are you ready for Rollins vs. Reigns on the grandest stage, or are you as burnt out on the current product as I am?

Let me know in the comments!”
