NXT in Orlando

Vic, Booker T and Mike Rome are taking care of announcing and the desk tonight.

Women’s Tag Team match opens the show with Tatum Paxley/Lizzy Rain facing off against Zaria/Nikkita Lyons. This was a “reluctant partners” situation for Zaria and Nikkita. They both want Tatum Paxley’s Women’s North American Championship, but they had to play nice for the night. Tatum and Lizzy Rain actually showed some surprisingly good chemistry early on, but the power of Zaria was the equaliser. There was a big spot where Zaria essentially used Nikkita as a weapon, throwing her into their opponents. In the end, the tension between the challengers cost them. Nikkita tagged herself in just as Zaria was about to finish Paxley. This led to an argument on the apron, allowing Tatum Paxley to roll up Nikkita for the win. Tatum is setting back, letting her opponents sort themselves out.

Lince Dorado in singles action against Naraku. Lince Dorado came into this match with some momentum after picking up a win in a Triple Threat on AAA on FOX recently. However, he was essentially fed to the lions here. It was a sprint, lasting just over four minutes. Lince tried to use his speed and agility, but Naraku caught him mid-air and basically dismantled him. It was a purely dominant display of power. Naraku secured the pinfall win (4:33) after a devastating sequence that left Dorado down for the count.

6 Man Tag action with Birthright ( Channing Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, and Charlie Dempsey), Arianna Grace and Lexis King watching from the floor. , facing off against Sean Legacy, EK Prosper, and Tate Wilder. This was built on the contrast between BirthRight’s technical, hard-hitting style and the faces’ aerial offence. EK Prosper had some standout moments early on with several high-flying dives that briefly put BirthRight on their heels. The tide shifted when Charlie Dempsey grounded Sean Legacy with some brutal mat wrestling. Stacks and Connors then tag-teamed to keep Legacy isolated in their corner for a long stretch. After a chaotic “all-in” brawl where everyone was hitting their signature moves, Stacks and Connors hit a devastating double-team maneuver on Tate Wilder, allowing Stacks to cover him for the pinfall victory. Tate got too full of himself and cost the match.

Robert Stone with the contract for Mason Rook. Rook cut a confident promo, mentioning that even legends like John Cena have taken notice of him. He nearly called himself “Will” out of habit but caught himself, asserting that he’s not just a “super heavyweight”—he’s the “best any-weight” in the business. The signing was interrupted by the NXT Champion, Tony D’Angelo. Tony D is clearly fed up with Rook’s recent attacks and came out to put him in his place. Before Tony could get too far, Kam Hendrix jumped the Champion from behind. This sparked a massive three-way brawl. A guy that big should not be able to do the things that he is doing. He will be one to watch over the coming weeks.

Noam Darr returns to single action against Jackson Drake. Noam Dar received a great “welcome back” reaction from the crowd, but Jackson Drake didn’t let him enjoy it for long. Drake used his technical agility to ground Dar early on, showing he could hang with the veteran. Predictably, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes were a constant presence at ringside. They distracted the referee at crucial moments, allowing Drake to regain control just as Dar was building momentum with his signature kicks. Despite Dar nearly locking in the kneebar, Drake managed to escape and hit a massive 450 Splash to secure the pinfall victory at the 10:21 mark. This is a huge “upset” for Drake. Beating a former Heritage Cup champion in his return match sends a clear message that Drake and his associates are not to be overlooked in the mid-card. (Blake is going to turn into a heel if people aren’t watching) Dark State just put Vanity Project on notice.

Main Event: Kelani Jordan def. Kendal Grey (w/ Wren Sinclair)

The Match: This was a back-and-forth contest where Kelani’s gymnastics-based offence met Kendal’s amateur wrestling base. Wren Sinclair was at ringside for Kendal, trying to keep things “clean” but clearly providing a distraction by her mere presence. Kendal Grey controlled much of the middle of the match with some impressive suplexes, looking to prove she deserves a rematch against Lola Vice. However, Kelani’s resilience was the story here—she weathered the storm and began her high-flying comeback. Kelani Jordan hit a spectacular Split-legged Moonsault to secure the pinfall victory at 12:47.

The Post-Match Brawl: The match didn’t end with the bell. Lola Vice and Izzi Dame ended up brawling on the outside, and when the chaos spilled into the ring, Grey and Vice got into a verbal confrontation. The night ended with Lola Vice getting caught with a big boot from Kendal Grey, sending a clear message that the title chase is far from over.

The Women’s division is deep with talent. Sit back and watch how things play out.
